Specialties
Sketchbook Brewing Company is a nano-brewery in Evanston, Illinois. Sketchbook will focus on the production of fine beers in small batches — and strictly local distribution — with growler sales and keg sales within our own community.
History
Established in 2014.
Sketchbook, Evanston’s first nanobrewery, producing finely-crafted small-batch beers for local consumption. Sketchbook offers tastings and growlers fills for walk-in customers.
Brewing partners Cesar Marron and Shawn Decker are DIY-ers passionate about exploring and innovating traditional recipes, collaboration, sustainability and the good fun of making customers troop down an alley to find them. Sketchbook is brewing off the alley behind 825 Chicago Ave., between Main and Kedzie – look for the orange door.
Why Sketchbook’s craft beers are worth sampling: Cesar’s brewing skills have been recognized by 12 medals (5 Gold, 3 Silver, 3 Bronze) and he is the Sam Adams Longshot 2013 winner. His grätzer was selected from over 1000 entries nationwide; Sam Adams will produce and sell his winning recipe. Shawn brings a solid home-brewing practice to the partnership and decades of making tricky stuff work right.
