Steve Albertson Massage Therapy

I had my first appointment with Steve earlier this week and I am very impressed with the results so far. I recently moved to Evanston from Los Angeles and I am relieved to have found such a skilled therapist so close to my new home. Following my first appointment with Steve, I can tell that my muscles have improved in range and feel more relaxed. I sought out Steve because I have issues with the muscles in my neck (which cause terrible tension headaches) and some other problem areas. I am less interested in having a «relaxing spa experience» and more interested in actually getting to the root of my muscle issues, which is exactly what I got with Steve. Steve gathered information about my history and activities as he assessed my muscles and developed a «checklist» of possible issues. It didn’t take Steve very long to narrow the list down and to really hone in on the problem areas, which are not necessarily obvious or where you think they would be. I was surprised that my neck issues were coming from an area that countless massage therapists have overlooked for years. Our session was interactive (involving stretching and exercises) and I liked that Steve explained to me what he was doing and looking for. I appreciate Steve’s diagnostic approach, as my goal is to get rid of (and prevent!) these knots and problem areas. In addition to fixing the problem, Steve showed me some stretches that will aid in prevention. While this is not a traditional spa environment, the massage room clean and relaxing, and I felt very comfortable. Steve is professional, knowledgable, and very intuitive. I highly recommend seeing Steve. In fact, I have already booked my next appointment!
