Let’s get down to the nitty-​gritty, some basics on Jung/​Jungian therapy: Jung was a cool dude, ok? He and Freud started out on similar paths and ended up famously as arch-​enemies (no pun intended there). Jungian Psych is considered «insight psychology», meaning some of Jung’s ideas are crucial in gaining that insight, such as looking at archetypes/​metaphor/​symbolism (Great Mother, The Trickster, etc), looking at the polar-​opposite energies within ones self (conscious/​unconscious, masculine/​feminine –anima/​animus-​, shadow/​light, rational/​irrational etc), and examining what is persona and what is the Authentic self. It’s cool, life-​changing stuff.
The center provides affordable therapy services (one-​on-​one talk therapy, sand tray therapy, dream groups) as well as amazing community programming like movie nights (they’ve done Pan’s Labyrinth, Juno, Lars and the Real Girl etc.), book groups and lectures (the fairy tale series was excellent).
