The Wellness Revolution

For my first visit, I’m sold on their services. They are friendly from start to finish and I was totally blown away by their professionalism. I do want to stress that my visit involved their Chiropractor and not their massage services. Maybe a future update of this review might involve a blurb regarding that service… :)
They were quick with getting me in without an appointment and I was able to see a chiropractor within minutes after filling out all the necessary paperwork. Every step was explained in detail prior to performing them which, I think, is very important especially when he was about to manipulate and align my lower back.
The only (very tiny) issue I have with this place is the location of their mechanical massage tables. All their mechanical massage tables are visible from the reception area which makes it difficult to relax especially when people are getting checked in and there’s conversation going on at reception area. They do have private examination rooms which is great, but I had a hard time relaxing on their massage table.
But, all in all, it was a great experience and I’m definitely looking forward to my next one.

Got quoted many different rates from the office staff. They were friendly but couldn’t provide a consistent cost for initial appointment. did not end up booking an appointment there for this reason.

I have been dealing with right foot pain for the past year and in a single visit it has improved tremendously! I thought the staff was very professional and Dr. Schuring was extremely nice and very helpful in explaining my problem. I have already recommended Chiropractic therapy to others for problems they are experiencing. Can’t wait for my follow up visits!!!

I was referred to Dr. Tony due to severe back pain. I admit I was very skeptical of chiropractic care in general but after my first consultation I was thinking differently. His assessment was very informative and easy to understand. He broke it down in such a simple way and put me on an immediate path of relief. I saw him and his partner Dr. Vance over the period of three weeks and feel like a different man. I was concerned I would have to go more and more to experience the same results, but it didn’t work that way. They adjusted my alignment and pain and I’m feeling better than before. I highly recommend a consultation if you aren’t at your best. Worked extremely well for me.

As a recent new patient here, I wanted to share that I’m really happy with my treatment. I see Dr. Vance, and I appreciate the more holistic approach to getting better. In addition to adjustments, Dr. Vance gave me a series of exercises to do, and massage is part of my treatment package. So, instead of coming in multiple times per week to JUST get adjusted and leave, a little bit more of the treatment is in my control AND long-​term focused. Not to mention — the staff is SO friendly, and no pressure. Being a student, it was really important to me that the office be upfront with costs, and they definitely were. Also, I appreciate the super flexible scheduling. The only thing I don’t like is how the roller tables are a little out in the open, but I can get over that knowing that they’re helping make my treatment more effective AND that everyone else is doing it too :)

Ditto — I love Dr. Tony and his team! I have been seeing Dr. Tony since last October. I don’t often write reviews but felt I need to toot their horn! I have been going to chiropractors for 20 years. And my last one was too zen and not enough manipulation. I was looking for a new one when my back went out with one simple step in the grocery store. My friend recommended Dr. Tony. He took X-​rays and showed me point blank what my issue was. I don’t ever recall my previous doing that. How did they know what they were treating? His team put me through some gentle movements to assess further and my treatment began. I love that the office is casual and you feel calm and really part of the wellness they bring to all. The massages are great and I am lucky my insurance covers, but really even if it did not I would go there. Overall I feel that Dr. Tony and his team really care about my recovery and overall health. Just did a Spring Purification program there which at first seemed it would be difficult, but with the guidance and instruction from Dr. T and his team — it was not as hard as I thought, and I am thankful to be on the road to a healthy me. And Dr. Tony is following up individually with suggestions specific to me. I have already recommended them to several people and will continue to do so enthusiastically. Thanks Dr. Tony, Emma, Christina and Rachel!

Overall great experience! Loved the massages and the chiropractic work. Tony was willing and able to work on more than just my back. He really helped my foot. Rachael was amazing with her hands, she was able to get knots out of my body that I didn’t know existed. Very soothing environment. Overall great experience and I will hopefully be using them again in the near future. They also have a great plan for those that have frugal insurance companies. Thanks guys!

Dr. Tony and the staff at WR were instrumental in helping me heal a shattered hamstring. I recommend them most highly.

I disagree with the previous posts about feeling like you’re on an «assembly line» or that the staff here are unfriendly. I’ve been coming here for a few months now after feeling WORSE following appointments with other chiropractors. Dr. Tony diagnosed a worsening neck issue the other doctors completely missed. I also (at 25) suffer from chronic neck, shoulder, and back pain, recently in my lower back as well. I feel awesome since I started coming here. I rarely have headaches anymore and I have more energy and range of motion. And that lower back pain is completely gone.
I usually come right from work for my appointments, which means (depending on traffic), I’m usually 5 – 15 minutes early or late, and the setup works really well for me. I’m immediately greeted by fabulous, sweet front desk staff, then I spend some time on the stretching table (which feels sooooooooo nice), then wait maybe 5 – 10 minutes at the most for my adjustment. The doctor goes in the order in which people walk in the door. Usually I get right in with no wait. Their setup is more efficient for YOU, the patient, because it eliminates a lot of waiting around. And even if you do end up waiting around somehow, the waiting room has full-​body MASSAGE CHAIRS. How awesome. My girlfriend came with me to an appointment, and even though she’s not a patient, she got a massage and friendly conversation while she waited for me.
Dr. Tony is just wonderful. He’s very kind and gentle, and he takes the time to listen to me and explain everything that he’s doing for me. His practice is tailored to every individual patient’s needs. He even remembers little details about what’s going on in my life, as do all the other staff here.
If you’re looking to fix your chiropractic issues, feel better, and be treated like family, this is the place for you.

I’ve only been here a few times so far, but I’m really glad I started coming and am anxious to see what happens in the next few weeks!
I have had chronic pain in my neck and shoulders for years. With the recent addition of debilitating wrist pain, I decided I needed to do something. I went to a hand doctor (who knew this existed??) and after months of tests and no results, I decided to try a chiropractor.
I called to make an appointment last Tuesday and was able to get an appointment the same day, which rocked. I left work early, but my train was late, so I called to tell them I was a few minutes behind, and they said it was no big deal. The front desk ladies are VERY friendly and accommodating. Emma especially is adorable; so personable and helpful, and just super sweet. I love her already. She learned my name instantly and remembered it the second time I came in — major points for her.
I got in to see the doctor really quickly. He was really friendly and knowledgeable, and I felt very at ease. He took x-​rays and sized up the situation… basically told me my posture is TERRIBLE (but said it in a nice way). We went over some information and he said he would go over my x-​rays more carefully and that I should come back the next day for a follow-​up. This is the only point I am taking off a star for. I feel like the first and second appointments could be combined into one — kind of felt like they were split up just to get two co-​pays from me. Which is okay, because my co-​pays are minimal, and technically I was treated at both appointments, but it was just very quick treatment and I didn’t feel like I was given very much attention. But now that I know what to expect during each session, I feel better about things. Dr. Breitbach knows what he’s doing, so adjustments don’t take very long during a regular session — which is great for those of us with busy lifestyles!
All in all, I am a big fan so far!

Let me start off by saying that I’m not a regular patient (nor do I normally go to chiropractors), so my only comparison will be to my regular doctor’s office. I thought the staff was friendly and helpful. I’m not sure if you typically need an appointment but I was able to walk in during the week. While in the office I had a test run to measure my muscle /​fat mass. The doctor was helpful in understanding the results.

I was really excited when I met Dr. Brietbach. He may have thought he was getting a new client but I had a better idea; I was going to make this guy marry me. I had been living with pain for twenty years and though I’d found relief I rarely spent a day without pain. I came to just accept it. If you live with pain you know what I’m talking about. At some point you just decide that that’s how your life will be. I tried acupuncture, chiropractors and even a cortisone shot but nothing worked. I knew how the chiropractic gig worked, you go in and they x-​ray you, you start out with three visits a week, go down to two, then one, and finally down to a visit every other month. I thought, «This guy’s pretty cute, he’s tall and I could have a lifetime of regular adjustments if he marries me.» I mean it was either that or find a guy who wouldn’t mind helping me get my pants and shoes on in the morning.
I went to Dr. Brietbach’s office and he asked me some questions about my pain, about what my current chiropractor was doing and what exercises I did. He put me on this great machine that stretched me out and then he adjusted me and instructed me on an exercise to do. I was like, «won’t I need to make some follow up appointments?» He said, «If you need to but I don’t think that’s likely. Do these exercises and you’ll be fine.»
I nodded, knowing full well that I would be making more appointments. First of all my pain was incurable. Secondly, I was going to need to see this guy more to win him over with my charm and make him ask me out.
I decided to humor the guy and did the exercises exactly as he told me to do them. After a few days I felt some relief and was really pleased. I did not expect to be pain free but that’s exactly what happened next. By the end of the week I was putting my shoes on and pants on without pain. I was absolutely elated. I may have lost a possible life partner in the deal but that’s easier to live with than the pain that was limiting my snowboarding, my salsa dancing, my yoga, my strength training, watching a long movie in a theater, and lifting my nieces and nephews for hugs. Seriously, just getting out of bed in the morning hurt.
I was seeing another chiropractor and I felt bad about cheating on her. I knew her for years and she had helped me. But as an artist I felt ridiculously negligent that I had not looked for another opinion when her adjustments weren’t working. You always benefit from more than one opinion. If you don’t find a different solution maybe you will find verification.

The Wellness Revolution is fabulous. I was originally skeptical after reading the negative post on Unilocal.I even called the office and asked if it was mandatory to come in weekly for treatments. The receptionist assured me that, no that is not the case.
Since they were the only chiropractor to answer the phone, (another local office went to voice mail and I never heard back from them), I decided to try their services.
I went in for the initial visit where Dr. Tom took my x-​rays, and then Dr. Tony had me come into a private room for an examination of my back, etc. Just by asking a few questions and lightly pressing on the muscles around my spine (without having seen x-​rays) Dr. Tony was able to pinpoint where my problems where. He was very friendly and positive about being able to help relieve my back pain.
Other chiropractors I’ve been to make you wait there while your x-​rays are being developed, and then make an assessment immediately.
Dr. Tony said he would take a day to look over the x-​rays, and he would go over a treatment plan with me the next day.
Everyone there is so friendly, and there is virtually no wait! Their shiatsu table is very relaxing, and helps relieve tension before each adjustment. Plus, they just installed several high-​tech massage chairs that feel almost as good as regular massage therapy.
At Wellness Revolution they have a very positive atmosphere and prompt, professional services. I was even given some ‘homework’ exercises to help strengthen my core muscles and thereby lessen the tension on my back. I’ve never had a chiropractor who involved me in in the treatment process.

Today I had the pleasure of participating in an informal 5K run sponsored by The Wellness Revolution. I found the staff to be friendly and professional. The purpose of the run was to collect canned food for a local homeless shelter. Dr. Tony himself was there hosting the event. I was very impressed by this altruistic event and am excited to become more involved with their practice and use their services. As a side note, I am very disturbed to read the other, negative review (which I almost don’t want to reference –but hey, it’s the pink elephant in the room, isn’t it?) I do not feel it accurately reflects this practice. I have to say, I have a talent working with people and picking up on «vibes». I know it sounds very new-​age, but hey, we all have our talents, right? I got a really good energy from everyone there this morning. The staff is young, healthy (they are running a 5K!) and seem to have a very modern philosophy regarding a healthy life style –exercise, diet and the proper medical attention. They seem to have a preventive approach. My advice? Don’t listen to one bad review. You never know what the motives are. Could it be a competing practice? Who knows. Go check it out yourself and form your own opinion! I will update my review as I go and get to know the practice better.

I am sad to read the previous post. To be honest the language used seems to be a little more educated in Chiropractic than the standard patient. If he knows so much about the craft, why would he make an appointment with a new doctor?
Anyway, my experience at the Wellness Revolution was great. The girl at the front desk was very attentive, and I my wait lasted no longer than 5 minutes. I was happy to receive my consultation and x-​ray within a half and hour, too many times Doctors just talk to hear themselves talk. I have lower back pain as well as bad feet I get from running. The Doctor performed ART (?) and it has already started to work.
I was introduced to the Wellness Revolution at a booth at LIfeTime Fitness in Evanston. The Doctor and the young lady assisting were really friendly and before I knew it I was getting a massage and laughing hysterically due to their wonderful sense of humor.
I will definitely continue my appointments with the Wellness Revolution and strongly recommend their services in the Evanston area.

I am writing this after giving many weeks of serious thoughts and prayers. Only in the name of Injustice I am notifying everyone about this establishment. Also, to notify everyone what they might be expecting if they go here for treatment.
PROS:
1) The office and set up is very nice.
2) Shiatsu massagers in separate rooms
3) Respectful staff, who follow protocol as per instructions from the ‘Boss man.‘
4) Diet advise and recommendation.(Every doctor does recommend diet suggestion, even your personal doctor[If he is not a blood sucker like this one] should tell you.)
If you are into losing (spending) money extravagantly and wanting to be treated like a burger in a fast food joint (Flipped very fast and tossed out in less than 15 minutes) go to this guy.
My first appointment was awful. Before I even could say Hi to the Chiropractor. I was notified that
1) I need to take an X-​ray (when taking the X-​ray I find out it is not one two poses)
2) Arch of my foot photo.
3) I need to come every week, and I will be notified of the details.
This sends down chills in my spine, as I have heard or experienced when a doctor at the first visit does this to you it means something very serious. To add insult to this injury, all he says is that wait until the results come.
KICKER: When I walk in the second time,
a) Throw me in this Shiatsu massager bed (There are few in separate rooms)
b) Make me wait for few minutes.
c) First approach is very discomforting. (FEED FEAR APPROACH). Wrong approach when you are dealing with patients.
d) Informs me that I need to start a plan (Payment plan) and sign up an agreement (WHAT IN THE WORLD??) that I will visit him every week. Is this my body or money maker for this Mr. Mumbo jumbo?
e) Points to things which is already there and scares me that if I don’t come every week, I will be a messed up (cripple) in near future.(TIME SPENT: 20 minutes).
f) I get stopped in the middle of my sentences, as I have serious doubts about this approach. (I KNOW EVERYTHING, YOU KNOW NOTHING APPROACH)
f) Another visit, I go through a) & b), and I go into his office, where I get back corrected, & ‘Jack hammered’ (TIME SPENT: 15 minutes)
MORAL:
1) TRUST YOUR INTUITION (If something doesn’t feel right about a doctor, listen to it. Almost all the time your intuition is right, or check with your friends or your family doctor). My family doctor is advising healthy exercise and staying away from Chiropractors permanently.
2) Learn to say No (as it would’ve cost me almost thousand, but ended up paying 30 bucks as my insurance covered.)
3) Found a respecting Chiropractor, who has a calm, collective approach. I am thankful to Dr. Tony Breitbach I’ll only see him on the street NOT in his office until he changes his style of practice.
