I’ve been going to this place for years. It was always really good. That’s the reason that everyone excuses the décor and overall lack of cleanliness. For the past few years they’ve been putting out pretty sub-​par chicken that’s been sitting around for awhile. Super hard breading and chewy/​sort of rubbery inside. No moisture at all. Really salty. Tonight the biscuits they gave us were burnt. Putting out burnt biscuits means that you don’t care. Never seen a chicken joint do that before… The mashed potatoes were cold but pretty good. The coleslaw is awesome. Workers are friendly. Getting bad chicken (multiple times) at a chicken restaurant is a bad sign though.

I came across this place while exploring Evansville because I was craving fried chicken. It’s in close proximity to the casino hotels. If you are in the mood for some fatty fried goodness – your in luck! Simple place. Good fried chicken and biscuits – similar to a Popeyes or KFC. Don’t go for the atmosphere.
