We love this place. The food is always good and the service is always just fine. Oddly enough my favorite thing here is the cucumber salad. All the appetizers are good. The dinners are all large portions and they use quality seafood. The bar is full and has a good selection.

The food and service are really good. The atmosphere is more upscale, yet comfortable. White tablecloths and comfy booths. The handmade dumplings are a highlight. I tried a few cocktails which were all strong and yummy. A much better choice off the beaten path during the holiday rush. So glad we came here tonight.

The seafood is one of a kind for Evansville. Crab Rangoon actually has real crab! You won’t find that anywhere around here.

I just got home from dining here with another couple. I’ve been here several times over the past few years, just never remember to review it. We always get the Royal Queen, includes an egg roll, soup, salad, each person chooses an entrée and then desert. It’s a great value for the quality and quantity. Everything was fresh, hot, and very good. The service is always good. I also love the ambience, peaceful and quiet. If you’re looking for a buffet, this isn’t the place. But if you’re looking for fresh, quality food, it is.

Another amazing experience at China Bistro, again. This time we ordered our regular pan fried noodle, of course. We also ordered a new dish recommended by my wife. It was ginger beef. The flavor was an explosion. If you like ginger then you will love this dish. It was another delightful dinner!

I truly feel like they have the best Chinese food around and the restaurant is by far a lot classier than the others in town. This place reminds me of the quality and service that I get back in Chicago. You can also tell that the food is fresh and hasn’t been sitting under a heat lamp all day. For example their fried food is crunchy and crisp, their rice is soft and sticky, and their vegetables aren’t soggy and mushy.

Beautiful place. But for take out this place is not the place to go. Nothing crispy at all about the crispy calamari. Garlic shrimp was ok, but very pricey. Nothing like getting a take out order and getting back to your hotel to learn there are no chop sticks or silverware. It was a disappointing experience all the way around.

I’m very very very particular about my Chinese Food… thanks to frequent trips to San Francisco. I’m also NOT a General Chicken kinda girl … I like the adventurous dishes and this place delivered. Not to say the standards weren’t good. They were very… but …loved everything. The Green Beans and Pork were especially good. As was the Honey Shrimp and Dumplings.

The best Crab Rangoon in town, and their General Tso’s chicken is incredible too! The staff is always attentive and the restaurant is exceptionally clean. Their lunch is the best deal, with most specialities served for $ 6 – 7 with rice, vegetable, and spring roll.

Love this place! Best Chinese food in Evansville for sure. Be prepared for 2 hours of dining. Not a quick bite kind of place.

This restaurant is a total«mouth orgasm»! They have a full bar, service is attentive, food is delicious(try the hot and sour soup, and the spicy chicken)! The owner stopped by our table to ask about us and make small talk. A nice touch as well. We arrived and it was packed but we still felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant. Food was served piping hot and we enjoyed ourselves.

Well I’ve tried every other Chinese restaurant in the greater evansville area, so it seems fitting I make my way to Ma Ts. I’ve heard mostly good reviews. Went there with a party of four including my little one. Got in no problem on a Saturday night. First off, booster seats for kids are nice and have a seatbelt on them. Very nice touch. Server was friendly and knowledgeable. After looking over the menu of standard American-Chinese menu items, we decided on the Queen Special. That gives you an eggroll, egg drop or hot and sour soup, a green salad(only available on non-holidays), choice of one of about 8 entrees and a strawberry whipped cream dessert thing. The entrée got steamed or fried rice. The eggroll was a good start, not huge but crispy and tasty. I’m a sucker for egg drop soup, and this was the highlight of the meal. Some of the best EDS I’ve had. Normally it is $ 2 per bowl there, and with that price we considered ordering more. The green salad had fresh crisp lettuce, some wonton noodles which the little guy loved, and an Asian-ginger dressing. It was a nice surprise but otherwise nothing noteworthy. Entrees followed, with decent sized portions, small lettuce salads/garnish, and a larger spoon for sharing. I get it, in China they share everything. Nice try, but here in the US we are all about ourselves(unfortunately) so those«sharing» spoons really aren’t necessary. Food was good, not great, white and brown rice were good but not outstanding. The dessert was a few strawberries with a homemade tasting whipped cream over a small cake-like dollop. Overall the meal was good, decent ambiance, but for $ 14 for Chinese food I guess I would have wanted a bit more. I’ll be back, and they treated us well despite the young child on a weekend night, so that’s a major plus.

A good Chinese restaurant that doesn’t dump the Exxon Valdez on your food. The place is clean, staff courteous and most important, the food has flavor other than rancid oil as tasted in other places around town.

Your desire for their great Chinese food really depends on how long you’re willing to wait. Service is slooooooow, but if you’ve got the time for a slow but delicious dining experience, this is your place.

Even though I don’t understand the«888» in the name, it’s still a great place to eat. The best Chinese lunch in Evansville and the second best Chinese food.
