History
Established in 1976.
Pat Moore started Moore Music in 1976 with a focus on providing local musicians with great service, the best gear and professional instruction. Current owner, Brett Mulzer, has continued to honor these core values that Pat founded the business on almost 40 years ago. You can still find Pat in the store, teaching drums, or around town playing drums in his jazz band.
Meet the Business Owner
Brett M.
Business Owner
Brett was born and raised in Tell City and music was always a part of his life, starting with buying his first guitar and drumkit from Pat Moore of «Moore Music» at age 11 in 1988. He graduated in 2000 from U of E with a degree in Business Management. He taught Band at Tell City High School for 16 years and served as drum instructor for Mater Dei, Evansville North High school, and many other schools in the Tri-State Area over the past few decades. Brett’s passion for making music lead him to open a recording studio in Tell City in 2005, named «Side Alley Recording». Side Alley Recording became an instant success and within 5 years he had outgrown his studio in Tell City and he began looking for a new and larger location in Evansville. In 2011, Brett bought the Moore Music building on Morgan Avenue from Pat Moore in order to build a state of the art recording studio which was renamed «77 Recording». When Pat had decided to slow down and retire, it was a natural fit for Brett
