Vinnies Auto Detailing and Window Tinting

I own Vinnies Auto detail and I personally handle each of my deals. The John J. comment is a false comment which was made up by someone in the auto detailing field. We are the largest and by far the best in the auto detailing business. If we had a customer with this many complaints, we would’ve never charged the customer. Went to Vinnies Auto detailing at 950 N. Congress Ave. Purchased the $ 200.00 Auto detail which included the complete exterior, wheels, engine, and interior to include the carpet scrubbing.
What happened: Supposed to be ready at 5:00pm but was not ready until 5:30 pm, not a big deal at all though. First of all it was just a very poor job overall. Windows were not cleaned properly. All of them had at least some minor smears and smudges. The rear window was really bad. Lots of smears and smudges and they just missed the bottom 2 inches of the rear window on the driver’s side totally. I am talking the window on the back cab of a Chevy Silverado pick up truck. They did not do anything to the carpet, front or back, except vacuum — in other words they did not shampoo the carpet as they were supposed to, and I paid them to. The carpet was in a dirty and stained condition when I brought it in and it is still dirty and stained — just vacuumed. The Aluminum wheels still had break dust and grime in the corners, they just did not pay enough detail to their detailing.
The next day: I went to change my oil as i was going on an out of town trip in a few days. The whole reason to get it detailed in the first place. I found the hood latch was broke and to say the lest I was upset. I drove back to Vinnies and told the guy you broke my hood latch. He said the hood latch was already broken. That ladies and gentlemen was a big fat lie on Vinnies part. The latch was not broken as I had just topped off the wind shield and radiator fluids the day before and I know for a fact it was working fine. He said that was why they did not clean the engine. AHH HAA!!! He never even told me that the engine did not get cleaned! You would have thought if he did not do a part of the work that he would have let me known and would have given me some money back for not doing the full amount of work. Wouldn’t you? I know thats what I thought. After a frustrating exchange where he refused to fix what HE BROKE I went to a local Chevy dealership just up the road, «Kenny Kent» is the name, and they gave me an appointment for Monday. I then went next door to a Hyundai dealer ship to their service department and the guy looked at it and told me it would be a $ 106.69 and i gave the go ahead, and they did the work.
Conclusion: Never, ever take your vehicle to the shysters at Vinnies Auto detailing and Window tinting. They are not honest and they do not do quality work at all. They are a ripoff outfit.
