Allstate Insurance: Roberta L Hubbell

If misinformation, cold unfriendly service, mistakes on your policy, and having to submit multiple inquiries in order to get an (unhelpful) answer is what you’re looking for in an insurance company, then this is the agency for you! You may «be in good hands» with Allstate, but definitely not with this agency.
I’ve been with Allstate for less than a year, and it seems to be great. There are plenty of agencies in the area though, so don’t make your life harder by going with this one. I had to switch after they failed to put my correct vehicle on my policy and made an error in the start date of my policy– both crucial mistakes that could have prevented me from being covered at all! I honestly didn’t leave after I found these mistakes; I left because of the way they were handled when I brought them up to be fixed. These were two separate incidents, so I think I was a patient customer to wait until after the 2^nd mistake to find a new agent.
The agent blamed the first mistake on her adult son who went on to open his own agency. No apology for the error, no concern shown– just blame (and on your son?!)
The second incident took 2 months to resolve due to her lack of knowledge and poor communication. She always had to call someone else to get the answers and didn’t pass on the information accurately. I, having no experience in the insurance industry, could tell what she was telling me did not make sense. I would have to remind her and keep checking in when it seemed like I was forgotten about when it would go days without a response. In the middle of the 2 month fiasco she called me someone else’s name (a name that would belong to a different gender!)…seriously?!
I finally had to call another agent for the proper information and to get everything corrected. And the cherry on top… no apology or concern whatsoever that my policy had a crucial mistake on it for nearly a year!
This isn’t the drive thru; it’s home and auto insurance and I bet most would agree customer service does matter with something so important!

I used to think that Insurance agents were just people you never heard from, wrote a check to once a month and called it good. I have never had a problem with them before, but it wasn’t until I became a part of the Hubbell agency that I learned what a insurance agent should be. I changed my insurance to them when I got out of the military and moved to the area. I met with them and they went over all of my options as far as what different types of insurance plans I could cover on my two cars. I am 100% positive that I was not sold anything but able to make the best choice for myself and got the coverage that I needed. I recieve calls everyonce in a while from them asking if I want them to review my policy and see if anything needs changing! That has never happened me before. I will not be leaving anytime soon and infact I am so sure that this place is the best, many of my friends are now being covered by them too. I am not a insurance agent expert, but would recomend them to anyone.

I was with this agency for over ten years, and I really have to ask myself why I waited so long to switch. In all that time they never once reviewed my policy with me, even when I asked. In fact, they once made an appointment with me for which I took a day off work, and then shooed me out of the office before I could even sit down because they didn’t have time to talk to me. Can you believe it?! That was the only time I actually saw my agent, and she basically blew me off. The cost of my car insurance never changed, even with zero tickets, zero accidents, and 9 years of depreciation on the vehicle. Recently I switched agents (same company, just a different agent) and got an immediate policy review. The result? A better policy at nearly half the cost. I suspect this agency is just out to make money and has very little interest in actually helping the people to whom they are selling the policies.
