Bluewater Distilling

I always like being near a waterfront. Fresh seafood, beautiful views of boats and folks who work the seas for a living.
This distillery is especially nice. Cosy, small, nice music playing in the background. Great gin or vodka made right her with great creative cocktails using them. Also check out the fish tacos or the bolognese .
One of my favorites.

I went there with my work team for lunch – so no cocktails, which seems to be a strength of this restaurant – so please take that into my account with this 3-​star rating.
I had the fish tacos – terribly small servings (and I am a person who does not eat a lot, so for me to say this is VERY significant). Literally one sliver of fish in each of the 3 tiny tacos, and it was literally less than an inch wide, probably a quarter of an inch thick, and 2 and a half inches long… not worth the money, unless you don’t mind paying for lettuce and salsa.
My friend had their Mac and cheese – what I should have had. I tried it, and it was a better choice.
The seating was very rustic. If you don’t mind wood seating, then you’ll enjoy this. I would have preferred some more comfortable seating options. They were unable/​unwilling to seat us in their larger dining area next door (where they may have had additional larger tables), so instead crammed 5 of us at a table for 4, claiming the tables could seat up to 6. Not happy about that. The tables could seat up to six if you don’t mind bumping elbows. All in our party were slim people, and it felt crowded with 5 seated there.
Because they are organic, don’t expect to be able to have a Diet Coke there (I made that mistake). They didn’t carry any traditional sodas. It would help if they carried some, for those of us who can’t have a cocktail, but would still welcome trying their food, while having something to pair it with besides water. Might bring you more business.
I don’t see myself eating there again, with so many other options in the area that I prefer better, but I hear that their drinks are great, so if you want to be near the water, and want a good cocktail, this might be your place.

The drinks are the thing that keep me coming back. When the owner is present he is entertaining and has a awesome disposition.
The Bloody Mary is outstanding, the Mule has a kick that is unexpected yet welcoming. My favorite drink is the San Juan with the spicy salt. Tonight I tried a drink called the Beetnik that was phenomenal. Let me say it again PHENOMENAL. The flavor of beet was subtle and the hint of the all spice simple syrup creeps up on your tongue in the most delightful way. What a great way to showcase my favorite gin, the Bluewater Halcyon.
I wish they had more than one bartender on hand at all times. For some reason regardless of its a busy night or there are only a couple of tables I have had to wait about 20 minutes or so for a drink after placing my order. The food is pricey but decent, nothing out of this world. The crab cakes are pretty good though not sure if they are worth a 40 minute wait. Took one of my best friends here for her birthday and she raved about the fish tacos so I might try them at some point.

I’ve been here a few times now & just love it! I’ve been served by Andi a wonderful & cheerful gal! Been at the bar & served by Heather & Andrew who were both a lot of fun & made some of the best cocktails I’ve ever had! Meet the owners briefly one night & they were a delight as well! Great place!

Amazing vodka, gin, cocktails and food! Been here about 5 times now and every time has been wonderful! Love that the owner is there walking about talking to his customers and the bartender is so nice! Cook has come out to check on how we like his food And service is always prompt! I will be a customer and consumer of their awesome organic vodka forever. Take their vodka infusing class too… I walked away excited to try more infusing at home and much more confident about how simplistic making a drink really can be!

Wow! I’ve been to every tapas restaurant of note in the Seattle area and this is the best. The food is simply great. I’ve had the mac and cheese with bacon, short ribs and crab cakes. All great. The warm bread with tapenade and oil with balsamic is really good too.
The cocktails are amazing and their vodka is great both straight and infused. They have a nice selection of local whiskey. I’m not a gin fan but I’m told theirs is great.
The interior design is hip and very well done plus it’s on the waterfront.
Finally, the service is fantastic. You call tell they handpicked their team based on passion for the craft. Heather and Andrew are artisans behind the bar and can educate you about the spirits and know how to make a mean cocktail. I haven’t met the rest of the crew. You can feel their passion for what they do and their belief in the vision of this fine establishment.
This is how you do it. This is excellence.

Bluewater is a fun and lively place for good food and great cocktails near the Everett waterfront. We dropped in right at sundown on a Friday and were able to squeeze in to a table… there was a private event in the adjacent tasting room so the place was packed and vibrant.
First word goes to the outstanding cocktails. I got the cedar gimlet, with the house distilled organic gin, lime juice, and cedar tincture, and it was dazzling. Good enough to order a second one a little later. My girlfriend also enjoyed her maritime mule, a Moscow mule with the house made organic vodka and strawberries.
The food was pretty good too – I had crab Mac and cheese and my girlfriend had the crab salad; we ended up sharing our dishes, which was good for me because the Mac n cheese was a large serving that was rich and salty… good for sure but I seriously needed a little bit of rabbit food to balance it. We also had an appetizer of olives, almonds and crackers, a nice touch. It sounds like they change the menu often so it will be good to return soon to see what’s new.
I’m dinging them one star for the service, which was quite friendly but absolute, total chaos. As we sat down, a server lowered the blinds next to our table to ease the direct light of the sunset, and about a minute later the owner came over and raised them again so that we could see the sunset??? And that was an omen for the rest of the night. Servers showed up at random asking if we wanted something after we had just placed orders; other times, drink orders took very, very, verrrry long to arrive. It seemed as if the servers didn’t have their own sections and it felt more like a fire drill than it really should have. BUT! Good restaurants in Everett are few and far between, imho, so I’m looking forward to coming back here and I’ll be happy to get more chaotic service if it means good food, great drinks, and great atmosphere again.

I love this place! Amazing vodka, food, and service. Plus, the owners are wonderful. Definitely give it a try if you haven’t yet, you will not be disappointed :)

So this isn’t a place that I would normally eat at as I’m not big on artisan food, but we were there to find a venue for our Christmas party so it made sense to try the food.
I got their version of a grilled cheese, and it was delicious. There were two cheeses on it, plus bruschetta, and it really was just awesome. It was accompanied by a nice salad with a house made vinaigrette dressing, grapes and more cheese. Wanting to take a complete food tour, I also indulged in their pear & apple crisp, which was also excellent.
What made the experience better was the bartender. Personable, knowledgeable and attentive. Definitely going to have to bring my S/​O here for a date night.

Absolutely amazing! We walked off the boat into fantastic Gin and Vodka drinks! Everyone was super friendly. We had Artesian bread and even the Olive Tapenade was fantastic! Menu looked great as well, but didn’t eat anything else. A little pricey with $ 10 drinks, but totally worth it.

This is a great spot! Tucked out of the way with a cool vibe. You can feel the owners passion for their craft and it comes through in the excellent spirits they serve. I enjoyed my cocktail and the décor. The only reason I gave them four stars instead of five is because the service to get our drinks was swift but then we waited about 30 minutes for someone to take our food order. However, the minute our glasses were empty we got a prompt «would you like another drink». I think the oversight had more to do with not enough staff and not because of lack of desire to serve.

This is my favorite vodka and gin… and now, a full bar!!! I am in heaven. Today, I had the Maritime Mule and Pear Blossom. Both are perfect. This is the only spot in Everett with fresh cocktails. There are no artificial colors, flavors or corn syrup here. Even the tonic is craft and on tap! Best new spot ever!!!

Talk about a class act in the local distillery scene. John and Amy are truly at the top of their game with a vast knowledge of their craft and a product that, in my opinion, is second to none in the marketplace. I was able to sample their vodkas and gin during a tasting and tour of their facility and was very impressed with the quality of each. I’m not much of a fan of gin, but really enjoyed their offering and i could definitely see using it when making a cocktail or two… or seven.
For me, the vodka was the real highlight as it hit just the right notes that you expect and none of the harsh bite you can get from lesser products. The quality, heart, and soul put in to each and every bottle really shines through and even the bottle itself looks like it belongs on the top shelf without actually trying to be too fancy. I really can’t say enough about Bluewater, everything about this business is absolutely top notch. Definitely worth your time to head on up to Everett to check out their distillery as you are guaranteed to leave happy and maybe a little saucier than when you arrived.

What a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Nothing makes me happier than to see a local business that has such passion for their craft and a quality product all wrapped into one. Their operation not a large one by any means, which I totally dig. The location is in a new’ish area, but there are signs all over with the Bluewater logo to help direct you where to go.
They are Certified Organic and that they use American glass which is pretty freaking awesome!
I enjoy Vodka, scratch that… I love good Vodka. Bluewater Distilling makes excellent, smooth, sip worthy Vodka and I am definitely a fan! Their Gin was great too, very aromatic and again smooth enough you could put it over ice and it would be perfect.
They had a couple infusions we were able to partake from, cherry infused vodka and cranberry/​orange vodka. I was partial to the cranberry/​orange combo and hope that they dabble a little more in the infusions to sell.
It is a little bit of a hike for me to get to their location, but lucky for me they sell locally in Whole Foods so I can pick them up when I need another bottle (or 5.)
I am definitely going back to try their «Make your own limoncello» event!

There’s nothing better than a small business run by awesome people producing awesome products. I came here for a free distillery tour recently and not only did I meet the master distillers and hang out and chat, I got to try Bluewater’s gin and vodka!
Tucked away in north Everett along the water, this distillery is in a picturesque location. Inside the distillery you can peep the pot stills and the production line, but it’s really hard to miss the absolutely massive sailboat in the middle of the room. Sort of the inspiration for some of their spirits and their logos and their brand, this boat is a showstopper. I heard a small rumor that Bluewater might be moving into a larger space within the same complex and if so, I imagine they’ll feature this boat there as well. It’s quite impressive!
But back to the booze… Chatting about the distillation process, how they started, where their products are available –Space Needle, cough cough — it was really great to learn all about the brand, the passion people have locally for making great local products, and of course tasting those products.
Though I don’t drink vodka often, I really loved the clean, crisp taste of Bluewater’s vodka. In fact, it’s the perfect vodka for a Martini or Bloody Mary but just as great to drink straight! The gin is also great in that it wasn’t overpowering on the nose. I love gins but when they’re too herbal or floral or junpier-​y, they tend to be hard to mix into a variety of cocktails. This gin lends itself to just about anything but still has a great classic, clean gin taste. In fact, I took home their new sampler pack and made myself a Red Snapper last night. Can’t wait to come back. I’ll be looking for Bluewater on shelves at local bars from now on. Super happy to support this fantastic local brand!
