Was in town for my birthday and I needed a gym so I could do a drop in. Emailed back and forth with owner Alex and I was impressed by how prompt he was to answer any question I had about the gym and scheduling a visit. Place is very spacious and people welcoming. I was able to learn new ways to work on certain skills and feel comfortable while having a blast woding to good music. If you’re in the area give this gym a visit, you won’t regret it!

This«gym» is filthy with dogs running around, no heat in the winter, no air in the summer. Classes are ok, nothing special given the lack of equipment and fraternity like environment. Save your money for a place that is well kept, professional, and CLEAN.

I’d been debating joining CrossFit for almost two years before I eventually took the leap. The biggest hurdle for me was the monthly cost, but I figured that if I didn’t feel like I was getting my money’s worth I could just cancel because you’re not tied into a contract. That was about 2 months ago… I love this place. I started off with 3x/week M-W-F at 6AM to ease in and almost immediately felt like part of the family. I’m now up to 4x/week and have plans to bump it up to 5x in a couple of weeks. It’s really motivating to see everyone around you sweating and panting to push through the workouts. You see the same people every day and it’s great to hear people cheering you on to push through and finish a workout. Alex and Dan(the owners) put an heavy emphasis on warming up, form, and technique and that’s really important to me. I’ve seen some really gruesome injuries at past gyms that were entirely due to sloppy form. Also all of the workouts are completely scalable, depending on your abilities. Everyone completes the workouts together, but you can focus on form and go light or try the RX weight once you’ve mastered the movement if you really want to push yourself. RBP is a very challenging atmosphere, but not intimidating. I always walk out after my workouts glad that I dragged myself out of bed and I’ve definitely seen a major difference in my strength, conditioning, and physique. If you’re considering CrossFit, I would highly recommend RBP. The people are great, the workouts are hard, the location is convenient(on Route 16), and you won’t find a better pair of owners or coaches anywhere.
