Enrapture Salon & Day Spa

I love this place. Everyone is so nice and I have a friend that told me about Nikki and I’ve been going back ever since.
She is great, she listens to what you what, she almost has the mentality «measure twice, cut once» :-) I absolutely love her.
Last time I was there I ended up doing something more out there for me and I’m SO happy with the new hair. I’ve gotten so many compliments!

The receptionist is super rude! I was several minutes late due to traffic and she stared at me like I did something really really terrible. She even said this to me in a very rude way:“Well I’m not sure whether there’s any stylist available anymore. The one you booked with has a very busy schedule today.” I kept apologizing and being polite, I said: «I’m very sorry! If no one is available anymore I can come back another time». She said:“I will have to check.” She acted very rude with her impatient and unhappy facial expression. She treated me very horribly. Well I’m sorry I was 5 mins late but do you have to treat me like this?! 5 mins! Not like half an hour or anything like that. The funny thing was, my hair stylist was just sitting in the chair, being laid-​back, chatting with another stylist when I walked in (doesn’t seem to me that she was busy at all). She didn’t talk to me pretty much the whole time she was doing my hair. She didn’t seem to have a good mood at all. I tried my best to have a conversation with her, but all her responses were like:“yeah” «right» «cool»…She was pretty rough too, moved the chair like she was angry or something. I told her that my hair never looked good if it was curly… I have been having straight hair all my life (just trying to have a conversation). And guess what? She curled my hair at the end… She totally misunderstood what I said — she didn’t even pay attention to her customer. How can you do exactly what I don’t want you to do?! I thought oh well, it was temporary curling so whatever… it will go away… And of course the whole time I was there, there was only one customer coming in (she had an appointment with another stylist not mine). By the time I was leaving, no customer was coming in or waiting for my hair stylist… Hmmm I thought you had such a busy schedule that you couldn’t wait for me for 5 minutes?! It does not seem to me that they were even that busy at all as what the receptionist claimed — the place was pretty empty.
I have NEVER been treated like this at any salon. To me, we customers are not only trying to get a nice haircut, but we are also looking for a good customer service & a comfortable experience and atmosphere from a salon. Well I didn’t get any of these. There are so many other great salons around here, such as Invante Salon & Spa (I had a great experience there!) The only reason I came to Enrapture was because of a deal from Groupon. Overall, nothing from this place that I would recommend, unless you want to be treated so poorly!

Got a groupon for a cut and color here and my experience was great! I think my stylist’s name was Stephanie, but I can’t remember. Even though I had a groupon, she did a great job and treated me as if I were any other customer paying full price. My highlights turned out amazing, and the salon has a really nice vibe. They also gave me tea while my color was processing, which was a nice touch. It was a really relaxing experience.

Not impressed. I get massages at the Body Spa (which is in the same building) and thought it would be nice to get my hair done in one easy visit on my birthday. My hairdresser, Nikki, is not someone I will be going back to, or would recommend. I used a Groupon but asked if I could supplement and pay extra for a bit more. The front desk said of course. Upon having Nikki take me to my chair and showing her what I wanted, she was just very negative. She kept telling me that she wasn’t going to be able to lift me to the color I needed. And that I would have to come back for 2 or 3 visits to get what I wanted. I’ve have had my hair done by lots of other salons over the years and have never, run into this problem anywhere else. In fact I really just felt like I was being sold. She didn’t seem interested in listening to what I wanted but rather interested in telling me what she would do. I got to the point that I just kind of said «whatever» as I could tell that I wasn’t going to get anywhere with her, was tired, and at this point was at least getting something done to this mop. (Who the hell wants to reschedule and go through a huge hassle on their birthday!) My groupon included a partial foil. My hair is very long so I understood when the lady at the front desk said it would probably be $ 40 more, but would be up to the hairdresser. Nikki decided it would be $ 55. When it came time to pay, another girl came and put a paper on Nikki’s station and said, «Her groupon included a partial foil (balayage is only half your head anyways, with a few strands coming from the top.) So not sure if you wanted to charge her the whole $ 55.» Nikki then went up to the front desk quickly and started whispering to the the girl that had just brought the paper out, right in front of me! She then said that will be $ 55. I payed it and tipped her because I’m not a cheap skate, but I totally felt taken advantage of! Her customer service was appalling! And the color and lift were fine, though I know we could have gone lighter just from my past experiences at other salons, and the cut was at least what I asked for. Being a customer service manager, my constructive criticism would be: listen, give people what they want and they will come back to you, as well as recommended. Negative selling and taking advantage of people is not how you earn customers.
Update: After going in for a complimentary service, I still will not be going back. I’ve had better customer service at a beauty school then at this place. Very disappointing.

Found this salon on groupon. Called before buying my package to see when they could get me in, I was looking for something ASAP, as I had some gray hair that needed to go away, and quickly. I didn’t tell them I was looking for ASAP, but they offered the same day! My appointment was set for an hour after I made my call. They gave great directions and made sure I knew where the salon was. Got to the salon early, and Arielle came out and introduced herself to me. I found her to be nice, I think our personalities were a good match. She consulted with me about what to do with my hair, and I left most of the decisions up to her, with the exception of I didn’t want a lot of length taken off my hair. Arielle did a FANTASTIC job with my color. She blended to colors really well and for the first time ever, a stylist didn’t cut off more hair than what I had wanted. I will definitely be back!

Overall I really enjoyed my experience with Enrapture. I typically have one thick streak of bold color (red/​purple/​etc.) in my otherwise natural brown hair, which needed a complete redo (bleach and color) in late 2015. I saw a Groupon for a cut and foils and called the salon to ask if my bleach/​color streak could be subbed for the foil portion of the voucher. They were happy to do that, which made me very happy! The stylist I worked with (I can’t remember her name — I do know she was pregnant and will be on maternity leave for a while in spring 2016) was great — very friendly and did an excellent job on both the trim and the color. Just over a month later and the color is still quite vibrant! I will happily go back next time I need a similar service.
The only cons: only after she started applying the purple dye did the stylist mention that they have a black additive that can make bold dyes darker (to bring it to more of a jewel tone vs. the bright purple I got). I would have been interested in doing that so I was a little bummed, but I’m still very happy with the color I got. Also, the layout of the salon floor is weird — they move you around a lot between different chairs. Not a problem, but different than my usual salon experiences.
Still, I’m very happy with my entire experience and can easily recommend this salon. The customer service is excellent and I was quite pleased with my final result!

Terrible experience here. Will never go back. Nikki was my stylist and she said maybe two words to me after the initial consultation. She made me feel like doing my hair was a chore. My hair color was nice but absolutely did not overshadow the poor experience I had.

My girlfriend found Nikki a few years ago and won’t let anyone else cut her hair. Even when we were suddenly out of town due to a death in the family and couldn’t make our appointments with Nikki my girlfriend wouldn’t let anyone else cut her hair… she’d rather wait longer than she wants to only let Nikki cut her hair. I’ve gone to Nikki for a few years now too and I’m always happy with the cut she does. She uses a lot of techniques that I’ve never had done before and they seem to work great. The owner Darcie is super nice and professional and has a great staff. Kaleigh runs the front desk most of the time when I come in and she is super nice and friendly too. Everyone there seems to enjoy what they do and it’s a pleasant atmosphere.

I went to Enrapture Salon because they had a groupon deal that seemed to be too good to be true. I picked Enrapture over other groupons because they said that I would get a complimentary hand massage and makeover.
So I showed up about 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Took my time using the restroom and getting into the upstairs salon. When I first entered there was no one at the front desk and no one in the salon area except one other patron. I stood there for a solid 5 minutes while I listened to the conversation between workers in their back area. I finally decided to walk back there and get someone’s attention. The woman apologized and proceeded to check me in. As I was walking back up to the counter I saw my soon to be hairstylist laying in their massage room on her cell phone. She got up to greet me and start my hair appointment.
Arielle (the hair stylist) was very short with me. She seemed annoyed at the fact that I had to find someone to check me in. Her conversation with me was curt and inattentive. She had more conversation with the other hairstylist on the floor and her customer than she did with me. I tried asking her questions about my appointment, the salon, herself and things in general but it was very clear that she was not interested.
I was asked if I would like cucumber water, which I said yes but received a glass that very clearly had leftover lipstick from it’s previous user. I also inquired about the complimentary hand massage and makeover. I was informed that the hand massage was only on certain days (not stated on the groupon or from what I could find on their site) and if I wanted a «touch-​up» we could do it at the end of the appointment (again the groupon stated «makeover» so I did not wear any makeup to the appointment thinking that I would have a fun doll up session).
During our brief conversation I had told Arielle that I used alternative methods of cleaning my hair because conventional shampoo/​conditioner are not good for your hair or scalp. She then proceeded to condescendingly inform me that «maybe 20 years ago» this would have been the case and that «I still needed to clean my hair» and that «whatever I was doing was ruining my hair». It was only after I showed her proof through pictures of the difference in my hair on conventional shampoos vs alternative methods did she drop the subject. It was clear to me that she was not well versed in this subject matter (which I don’t believe she is required to be, but if you’re going to make bold statements such as the one’s above you better make sure you know what you’re talking about). Arielle was very rough with my hair (but I’m ok with that because I have a tough scalp) and finished quickly with a trim and curls.
She barely said two words to me once she finished and it was only after I gave her a tip did she even seem interested in me. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because Arielle did a great job on my hair. But, I believe that when you go to a salon you go for the experience, not just a good job on your hair. I never received a makeup «touch-​up». Since there are a number of salons in the area I would suggest going somewhere else.

Emily is the best! THE BEST! I cried when I how beautiful she made my hair :) a nice deep red almost a red wine color. Makes my baby blue eyes pop.

My boyfriend gave me a gift card to Enrapture, so I came in for a haircut. I was given a young lady who was over-​the-​top in her flattery and it made everyone within earshot uncomfortable, especially me. The cut was fine, thank goodness, so no complaints there.
I came in two other times and tried a different stylist each time. The second one couldn’t understand what I wanted even with pictures and a more senior stylist coming over to tutor her as well. I was asking for a Betty Davis look, nothing complicated at all. The final time I came in, the third different stylist was great. She was down to earth, not phony, and knew what she was doing. I’ve moved and now go elsewhere or I would have built a relationship with her.
On the second visit here, I was told that they all go to NYC and get taught the latest styles but 1 out of 3 stylists knowing how to do hair is a bad ratio.

THE BEST! I had Emily as a stylist and she is so knowledgable and a perfect fit for me. Honestly, I’ve been on a search for a while for a good stylist and I have actually found her. I hate spending money on products or even putting anytime into my hair… I am constantly trying to do it myself from a box or making up all natural remedies. Emily knows all about the natural remedies and helped work with me on what I like and want! I bought a groupon which was very reasonable. I have a kinda non traditional idea of how j want my hair and she did it perfectly! If she can do this is can do anything! She was really fun to talk to and really listened to what I wanted. She does her own hair a lot and that always tells me that the stylist loves working with hair and has a lot of practice! I’m in love and would defiantly recomend this salon.

It was the best hair visit I’ve ever had. Totally recommend Enrapture! I came in and honestly, I was happy from start to finish. I sat down and they offered me tea and started my appointment within five minutes. Its hard to trust a new stylist with your hair but Nicki did an amazing job! A color, cut, and style for a very reasonable price plus the $ 20 discount for my first visit. She took her time with me (3 whole hours!), kept the integrity of my hair, while lightening it into A BEAUTIFUL and delicate balayage. I really appreciate it when a stylist takes the time to discuss my hair color history and is very detail oriented.

I’ve been here 3 times and loved it ALL 3 TIMES. Emily cuts my hair and I always walk away with a smile.

I learned about this salon thru a Groupon deal. First I checked Unilocal reviews & then called with my questions for the salon. Since we couldn’t know for sure which option I should purchase, they said they’d honor the Groupon price & I didn’t need to purchase anything ahead of time. Satisfied that they could provide the service, I booked an appointment, and to my surprise it was within a couple of days, not a couple of weeks. So phone service was excellent!
I was on time for my appointment & so were they. Nikki was my stylist and listened to my concerns & hopes & set to work. I have thin, fine hair which is 100% gray and I have been coloring at home. Needless to say my color was flat & much darker on the ends from color build up.
Well I couldn’t believe how happy I was right away. My hair is beautifully highlighted, the ends are no longer an eyesore & the cut makes my hair look & feel so much fuller than it has in years… And the cut is so well done that I felt completely comfortable & natural right away. So many times I have had to get used to a cut but not this time… I loved it immediately!
I waited to write my review after washing & styling myself a few times to be sure it wasn’t magic product. It’s a fantastic cut & color job, no doubt about it.
We are going to work towards color/​highlights that mask or make my gray roots grow out less obvious. She said it would take a few appointments to achieve the desired effect, so I’ll update as we go. My next appointment will be in June.

I have been going to Enrapture for a year now. First I was with Destiny who moved out of town and referred me to Arielle, then I switched to Nikki because of a change in my work week.
My hair is thick and dense with unruly, frizzy curls. All the stylists I’ve been to have done a great job, and I am especially happy with Nikki. Yesterday was my second appointment with her, highlight retouching and a hair cut. She created a layered style that sits above my shoulders without having too much volume or the dreaded triangle shape. I would definitely recommend her to curly haired people. Nikki has also lifted my brown hair beyond brassy to the white-​blonde I prefer, and my roots take weeks longer to appear after going to see her.
There is usually a lady there giving out hand massages in the color processing area. The owner (I’m pretty sure) who runs the front desk has frequently jumped in to help blow dry or flat iron my hair, always offers beverages to clients and cleans up the salon while the stylists work. It’s nice that she gets involved and speeds up services.
I pay ~$ 135 for a cut and partial highlight, not including tip. They have a referral program, but it would be awesome if every eigth appointment or so you got the Groupon price again.

I hate to change my previous five star rating, but recently I have been less impressed with Enrapture. I started to notice during the past few appointments that my stylist was double and triple booked. That’s fine I guess, but I was still charged the premium price for her experience and skill. There has always been pushy up-​selling as can be expected at any salon, but last Saturday they added a $ 40 treatment to my cut & color service without even asking me! Because of that, I won’t return to the salon ever again.

This place was the place that fixed my daughters hair after a night mare experience! These people get the job done! They are great!

Got a groupon for a haircut and full foil and went there with no high expectations! But my gosh, Stephanie was AMAZING! Showed her a picture and took her a second to say ok I’ve got it! The results were awesome! I also love how friendly they all were! Helping each other out when someone had a spare second! Beyond Great!!!

I went to them through a Groupon for a hair cut, highlights and a wash and dry. I won’t being going back. My appointment was at 9:00, and they didn’t open the doors until 9:15. I stood outside and waited. They were not apologetic about it, either.
My hair was cut unevenly, and the highlights were not done correctly. It was odd that that stylist cutting my hair turned me around so that my back was to the mirror, so I couldn’t see what she was doing. Some people do that to give you a «reveal» effect when they’re done and then turn you around. But I sure wish I had been facing forward so I could have seen.
The name of the business says «salon and day spa.» I didn’t see any «day spa» in there. I was thinking it was going to be a nicer salon, but It was just a run-​of-​the-​mill business. It’s on the second floor of an office building in Silver Lake and you have to climb steps to get there. Not what I’d call very elegant.

I tried uploading this several times to warn others, but unfortunately Unilocal placed it in the filtered review section. Just hoping others save their money and their feet from this place!
I can only speak of their pedicures.

Awful foot tub, no soaking solution and lukewarm water
No massage! My friend and I went in at the same time she had a full leg scrub and massage I had a partial toe scrub and was given a partial leg massage that didn’t go much past my ankles.
The paraffin wax treatment literally did NOT cover my foot only a partial bottom of my foot received the wax!
Hair all over floor!!! Ick. Look at pics I posted!
No base coat for using red polish
Nail polish selection was old and very used!
Super uncomfortable chairs!
No new files, they used old ones with stains
No autoclaved metal instruments!
A bottle of Lysol in the corner may be their only sterilization.
Unkept pedicure/​manicure room.
I will not be going back!
