G&S installed a 14kw Kohler standby generator for our home. Their price was reasonable, not the lowest, but lower than most of the other bids.
Gary was the project lead and he was great. He was responsive to email and phone, and had great customer service skills in person. The generator was installed over three short visits and Gary even returned a few times to take care of some small unfinished pieces.
We did have one problem where the furnace stopped working the first time we tested the generator. But G&S sent someone the same day to fix it (our filter was dirty, so built-​up heat damaged a sensor when the furnace fan shut off). It was our error, not theirs, but they didn’t charge us for the emergency service.
The generator works great. In March 2016 the power cut off in the afternoon and within 10 seconds we heard the generator start up, about as loud as a lawn mower. We’re very happy with G&S and would recommend them to others looking for a standby generator.

Willy came out for a late call to fix a broken igniter on our furnace that was busted by the idiots who «cleaned» our furnace ducts and insisted on charging $ 1109.00 for a $ 55 cleaning. Thank goodness Willy knew what he was doing! He explained everything, fixed the issue quickly and we had our heat back on! He also gave us great advice as to stopping payment on the morons who came out and raped us for $ 1100!!! Not cheap, but worth every penny! Thanks to you folks we were toasty comfy and very happy!!! Highly recommend Willy!

Our furnace decided it needed a break at a most inopportune time when it was freezing outside.
After searching through various reviews on the net and getting frustrated by the barrage of positive and negative results I decided to go with a recommendation from a relative that they had been happy with. I called a few places too but went with G & S.
With no heat we bit the bullet to have them come out that day. Luckily Eric A. was able to get there and quickly isolate the problem and had it back up and running properly in just over an hour and a half.
I was there with him and his straightforward get it done professionalism was a welcome relief –while he straightened out the rats nest of pinched wires that the previous outfit or the installers left and eventually shorted out over time. Luckily it was the low voltage side.
I’m glad I went this route because I just didn’t have confidence (for good reason) with another place that came out for service the last time we had a problem.

Our furnace was running but not producing heat, I called around and this company was recommended so I called them.
Very pleasant on the phone and I agreed to the after hours appointment rather than wait a couple of days for a regular time, the extra cost was explained up front and not a problem (249 service call Vs 139 for regular hours). I was given the name of the service tech and a rough time they would arrive, Alan the service tech called ahead of time to let me know he was on his way.
Alan was very nice, explained everything he was doing and said he could get the furnace running but it was old and could really use replacing (we purchased house in may and knew furnace was old) he showed me the readings he was getting and explained what they should be, I have a technical background so understood pretty well.
He ended up replacing one part that was defective, the pressure switch and the total bill was just over $ 600.
I have upgraded my review, the company called today and explained that the part cost was actually part and labor

G&S service tech «Ryan» just performed a maintenance service on my mother in-​laws two wall units. The job was done on time, professionally and with respect to my mother in-​laws age and difficulty hearing. The experience was very very good. The price charged was fair and I would recommend him «G&S» with no concern.

Cannot, in good faith to recommend this company to anyone. (This incident happened over a year ago, but I’m still livid) had a bid done to put heating vent to put in our certain areas in our home. Made our appt. They cancelled. It happens. Set up another appointment. Never showed. Husband called and asked when they would be there. They told us they wouldn’t. Task was too small, they would lose money and basically we not worth their time. Classy. So now husband missed 2 days of work when they could have just been upfront with us. Not an acceptable way to deal with any customer.

We called them because our hot water heater was broken. Someone came out on a Saturday, checked the heater, and said he would contact us Monday on whether he could get the necessary part. Monday we texted him to see if the part was ready. Got a text back, «Not yet.» Tuesday morning we texted, no response. Wednesday morning we texted, no response. That afternoon I called the company to get an update. I was sent to the voicemail of someone who was «out on a job» and would be back to respond to my complaint within a few hours. We never heard anything. It’s now Friday evening, not one word from the company. Hundreds of dollars down the drain and we have to start over with someone else.

So completely horrible in every way!!! Our unit cost about 12,000 to put in. It has been in for 3 years, the motor went out and a few other parts when they came out they asked us when we even picked the unit??? He said «they go out all the time». Now we are being charged to replace it plus labor. This company has been horrible from day 1. Do yourself a favor and find another company.

I had two old electrical Panels at a home that had undergone additions/​remodels. I asked for a quote for a new electrical panel to alleviate breaker tripping issues. I got a prompt quote and a prompt appointment for a new breaker box. The circuits were moved from the two older electrical panels and integrated into the one new electrical panel. The new breaker box was also outfitted with a switch-​over and outlet switch for the ability to switch over to generator power. The two technicians assigned the task arrived promptly, worked quickly and efficiently and kept everything tidy. Once the job was completed, they made sure everything was ship shape and tidy afterwards. Very pleasant to work with and very capable of doing the work.

Forgot to mention that they didn’t bring a stud finder and punched holes in our walls. We’ve had to deal with them a second time and they’re asking a ridiculous amount of money we are shopping around. Do yourself a favor and do the same

G & S Heating, Cooling & Electric installed the multiple HVAC units in my office. The heating and cooling was consistently unbalanced (too cold in one part and too hot in another). We called them within the one year warranty period to re-​balance the system. They charged me over $ 395.00 for this «service» that only made the problem worse. The owner insists it was a «clean» charge. As much as I don’t like to post a poor review, we are reminded of this poor customer service with each warm and cold weather change.

I have buyers that I am constantly sending your way for new service and it is so nice to be confident that they will also receive the kind of customer service I get.

Friendly, but after coming out and looking at our project, we never heard from them again. Called, sent e-​mails … all pointless. This could mean an unhappy experience waiting if you ever encountered a problem or other work needed that they just didn’t want to deal with.

I had these guys by to fix a problem with an outlet that kept popping my circuit breaker.
Have to admit that the first guy they sent did a poor job and I was a little bit bummed.
But then they followed up, found out that there was a problem, came back and fixed everything perfectly.
Amazing service. Glad I found these guys.
UPDATE: I had them back to install a new heat pump and furnace. Overall, I think the price was a bit high. It’s hard to know with these heating guys, but let’s just say that they are making PLENTY of money. That said, the system is great so far, installation was convenient, and I’d have them back again.

Our heat pump was having problems a few years ago and the company that installed it had stopped doing heating and recommended G&S to us. They got in quickly and fixed the blown capacitor in the heat pump. We learned about their maintenance plan and have been using them ever since for bi-​annual service on our heat pump and furnace. Very happy with the professional maintenance staff and the office personnel and would recommend them to anyone.

Great service — positive experience.

In December we had a gas smell in our Warehouse, so we called G & S to come out. The employee from G & S said they would not work hourly, they preferred to placed a bid on the work, they told me the spark ignition and the tstat plus the thermostat had to be replaced for $ 550.00 at the same time he would charge we $ 120 to drive to Bellevue for the parts (15 minutes each way). I drove to bellevue to get the parts. when he was done he told me I needed to spend another $ 1,000.00 to make it correct, I was upset that he never gave me and overall price from the beginning. I could have purchased a new unit for the price of the service call. The next day the gas smell was back, G & S came back out and the same service guy said I needed to spend the additional $ 1,000. I said no. He went back into the warehouse and said he had it fixed. The next day the gas smell was back again, this was jeopardizing my 2 plus million dollar Warehouse that had an additional two million dollars worth of inventory. I had a different company named McDonald Miller come out. The gas pipes around the igniter had corrosion around it not allowing it to ignite so the gas was just blowing into the warehouse. He cleaned the pipe with a wire brush and the problem was solved, he told me the new parts G & S had put on the heater were not necessary, and the other $ 1,000 they wanted to instal was a joke. Shame on G & S for placing my building and contents and employees in jeopardy, by failing to diagnose what the problem really was & trying to sell me parts I did not need, The other company McDonald Miller fixed the furnace in under and hour and charged me $ 150.00 The Attorney General really needs to take a look at these guys, if they do not properly fix your gas furnace, they literally have your life in there hands.
