Hanson Chiropractic

This practice was really not a good fit for me. I had seen a chiropractor in the past who I really liked but has since retired. I am used to having a doctor that knows me who I see privately. With the exception of the initial consultation, all of the adjustments are done in a big room with a bunch of other people. You have an appointment but you still get a laminated card with a letter on it and when your letter comes up you get on the table to get adjusted. This means you get whatever doctor is ready for the next patient. It’s very impersonal. They have to look at your file when you hand it to them to even know who you are and what your condition is. You are also 2 feet away from two other people on each side of you who are also getting adjusted. It really felt impersonal and more like a chiropractic factory. Everyone I dealt with was nice but I want to have the same doctor. I want to have a relationship with the person providing my care. I am unwilling to believe that this kind of a system can provide care as complete as having the same doctor who can get to know you and your needs.

Love coming here. They take care of your needs and are willing to help you financially. Dr. Hanson and his crew know what they are talking about.

I had been seeing doctor after doctor before coming to Hanson Chiropractic. I had suffered from bed headaches and also dislocated ribs and a messed up shoulder. I have been coming here for a few months now and the headaches are 99% gone and the ribs are 90%. 10+ years of pain are almost gone. Amazing!

Jamie is the by far the best at her job. She really feels for what needs to be worked on and concentrates on each part of your body. If you like a little chit chat but not too much were you can really enjoy, Jamie is the one for you. I really felt the connection that we had with our auras in the room with the music and everything.

I had a good experience coming here after a car accident. The doctors were understanding, careful, and very attentive. I appreciate that they were so thorough with the initial examination and treatment plan.
After giving birth I decided to come back for neck and back aches from breast feeding and carrying around the baby. I also got really nice massages here during the pregnancy.
The only thing I would change is the way visits are setup. Even with an appointment, you could be waiting 45 mins due to the way visits are setup. I guess it is the burden of being too busy with loyal clients.
Overall, I recommend coming here because they do a really good job.

Friendly and great service. Everyone here knows what they are doing and they do take good care of their patients. They had provided clear program and treatment to help me get well in reasonable time. Maintenance plan was simple and not restrictive so I could continue if I wanted to.

I got a groupon here and saw good reviews, so I decided to give it a shot… given my previous experience with chiropractors, I know there are good ones and there are bad ones, and that it’s hard to tell the difference sometimes.
The staff was friendly and knows their patient, and was very helpful, but I feel the office is always maxed out and there are tons of patients in at the same time (like a dozen) while there are only 2 or sometimes 3 practitioners (not sure if they were all doctors).
My first visit resulted in additional x-​rays that Dr. Hanson convinced me was necessary to see if I had leg length discrepancies. I voiced concerns about the radiation exposure since we have a family history of cancer, but after he talked more about the need for diagnosis, I agreed and paid an additional fee for it. Afterwards I definitely felt I was pressured into it. Prior to me leaving, he says he was most concerned with my «subluxation» but that I should come in again before discussing treatment options.
When I returned, he showed that I had a discrepency of 10 mm between my legs (which another chiropractor pointed out is true for most of the population).
Unlike the doctor at Lake Union wellness, they seemed much more seasoned at their practice. Unfortunately, similar to Lake Union, I feel like they were following a schedule that maximized their profits. I do get the feeling that they believe that this schedule is beneficial, but was firm to not get sucked in. I have read medical articles that said extensive spinal manipulations have been shown to have negative health effects and neck manipulations in particular leads to greater risks of strokes.
Based on my previous experience with Lake Union and their «maintenance» care. I did research, and found overwhelmingly that most reputable and well know chiropractor as well as spin specialist warn AGAINST such a practice. One chiropractor in particular wrote a really extensive article about the danger of over manipulation, and the lack of evidence for treatment on a daily schedule or lasting more than a two weeks… he also advised avoiding of maintenance manipulations and doctors who focus their practice around finding «subluxation».
When I mentioned it to Dr. Hanson, he referred to his «extensive» special «training»… it was meant to assure me, but all it made me feel was like he wasn’t really listening to me.
I did not go back.

Hanson Chiropractic is amazing! The staff there is unbelievably nice and upbeat. Everyone from the front desk staff to the physicians are very nice and professional. After just 2 visits there as a new patient I am so impressed and very happy with my decision to finally go to a chiropractor, and I know I made the right choice to come here! Already feeling better :)

Before going to Hanson Chiropractic I was a little hesitant on the whole «chiropractic» experience. I had preconceived ideas of what it would be like. But, I was wrong. Hanson Chiropractic takes health and Chiropractic seriously. They specialize in CBP — Clinical Biomechanics of Posture, a certain method of chiropractic that focuses on overall health and producing improved posture, spinal alignment and restoration of essential spinal curves.
If you want to take your overall health seriously, I recommend Hanson Chiropractic.
