History

Established in 2012.

Hardwear Gadget Repair, (or HGR, for those in a hurry) was mostly just a thought that stirred restlessly in the corner of (owner) Mike Wear’s mind. Mike spent years repairing the computers his friends would bring to him. (It’s been rumored that he even broke his own computer deliberately, to test a hypothesis on how to go about fixing it!)

In early 2012, Mike took over the little shop tucked away along Rucker Ave. as his own. Mike’s skill in construction work was put to the test when he observed the building and decided that it would undergo a massive renovation.

Indeed, that’s exactly what happened. Mike spent every day ripping out the interior until only a shell remained. The shop was completely transformed, from something that was once easily overlooked, to a little building that made people turn their heads as they drove by.

Brand new beginnings for a little shop, a brand new business for the owners, and a brand new way to bring excellent computer repair to all.

Business Owner

Mike Wear was born here in Washington State. He served with the USMC after graduating from Snohomish High School. Mike went on to ITT Tech, where he earned his Associates of Applied Science in Electronic Engineering.

In 2006, Mike met his future wife, Paula. Three years later, the two were married.

Paula manages HGR while Mike sets about repairing computers and creating custom graphics for his customers. Both warmly welcome the opportunity to meet you and help you with your computers and/​or vinyl needs.
