Our wedding was in late May of 2016 on a Sunday. Overall good experience. Food is great and guests had an amazing time and experience. The service staff was very accommodating and 95% of the wedding went as expected. We had the grand buffet, a drink package, late night food, brunch and candy bar. Guests were stuffed and very happy with food options. Appreciated the opportunities leading up to the big day to design the layout of the wedding and turned out beautifully. Dj did a wonderful job and provided great music choices. While it is expected a few things didn’t go as planned. A few small details unique to our wedding were missed. There were a few occasions where the bridal party and some guests felt unsure about the timing of events between traditions and took notice of delays. We would definitely recommend them to any couple!

I attended the 2015 Wedding Expo (Seattle, WA — Convention Center) and stopped at a well-​organized booth belonging to the Monte Cristo Ballroom. I liked that it was considered an all-​inclusive, as I wasn’t looking to hire a wedding planner and I was thrilled to see an option where the planning was less for me because so much was handled in-​house. My mother, fiancé (at the time), and I attended an initial visit and were immediately taken by the beautiful property and then again with the AMAZING food. If you’re spending you’re not saving so we weren’t surprised by the cost (note: your ceremony/​cocktail hour/​reception are on the same property — so you’re saving your guests time and day-​of angst!) and were happy to have linens, catering, up lighting, brunch the day of, rehearsal space, and the DJ all bundled into one package. Again, to have one sum was great and ultimately for an event with 100+ people we right-​sized our expectations (you can’t penny pinch and feed 100 people… set your expectations correctly, my friends)
We might not have saved a lot monetarily (though I believe we did save some), however, the peace of mind was more priceless than anything.
As a thorough planner, I found it somewhat difficult at times to understand some timeline and hygiene/​process issues I feel like the staff could improve upon — however, nothing major in the larger picture — nothing that many would even blink at — just felt disjointed for a couple who started planning over 1.5 years in advance:)
As a thorough planner, I did appreciate both the initial and final walk-​through appointments. I liked having the opportunity to try things out well in advance as those pieces helped to shape the vision for our day, over a year later. I also loved having our day of coordinator to connect to our 3^rd party vendors to so that I didn’t need to be a part of any granular coordination (a huge relief). I also loved that they have a relationship with a local print shop (Alexander Printing) who did an absolutely BEAUTIFUL job on our save-​the-​dates and wedding invitations.
The day-​of is where the Monte Cristo Ballroom really shines. The day-​of butlers and coordinators where BEYOND amazing. I don’t know how many things I could’ve left in my car and they never made me feel guilty for asking them to go get something (in the pouring rain — talk about champion service!) The day went according to the schedule we discussed during rehearsal (which was also seamless). Everyone had an amazing time. Everyone was prepared and extremely helpful even until the very last seconds spent boxing flowers and moving things to vehicles.
We were in great hands. My husband and I had the most fun ever… We would fully recommend The Monte Cristo Ballroom to those looking for a beautiful venue in Everett, Washington.

The Monte Cristo was amazing! When we walked in for our tour my now husband and I fell in love with the beautiful, vintage look of the venue. The Bridal suite and the Grooms Room was awesome, especially providing foosball and video game access for the groomsmen to keep them entertained day of. They gave us a sample meal at the tour and it was cooked to perfection! We signed the contract and started our journey planning our wedding. The wedding planners were amazing, helping us bring our wedding dreams to life! We had a lot of color and a lot of small details we wanted to include without making it look too overwhelming. We provided decorations and some basic instructions of what to do with them and they did amazing. They put together a memorial table for us to honor our passed loved ones who couldn’t be there and it was simply beautiful. The Day of Coordinator Sierra was amazing and soooo helpful. She kept us on track and helped us manage our day to perfection. The butlers that the venue provides to see to the bride and groom on their wedding day were godsends. They made sure we got food, drinks and anything else we needed help with. The only hitch we ran into was the DJ not contacting us. When the venue was made aware they jumped into action and hired a new DJ to take care of our event and made sure that even though it was very close to our big day that we were taken care of and had what we wanted. The new DJ and MC were amazing and took great care of us. The food was amazing; all of our guests were super happy with the choices made available. I would definitely recommend using the Monte Cristo for your wedding day.

Great venue — rustic on the outside and the inside is white with columns. The place is slightly small — I was here for a wedding of about 200 and the ballroom was packed with tables. I think the max capacity is 220. There is a small little area with a bar to mingle and they set up the outside with the buffet, which had so much to choose from! Mash potatoes, scallop potatoes, baked potatoes, 4 different pastas — pesto, fettuccine with white sauce, red sauce. Three different types of fish — cod, salmon and something else. On top of that we had a salad bar and prime rib, roast and turkey! There was also a kid’s food table with cheese pizza. I think the selection outbeats any other wedding I’ve been to. The buffet area turned into the dance floor after — they did amazing on table décor, all rented from the venue. The staff was quick to pick up dishes and they put your jackets on a rack for you as you leave, when you left them in the ballroom on your seat. Overall a cool place to throw a wedding/​party — walking distance to hotel if you plan on drinking!

Good wedding. All inclusive. Good food. Homey potatoe type stuff. Good prime rib. Do goor and attentive. Nice light show. Good speakers. The bar always over crowded with not enough bartenders. Struggled. Definitely not getting a DUI tonight. My biggest complaint is the men’s bathrooms do not have locks that function correctly on the doors. What is this elementary school. I advise you strongly that if you choose this location demand that they fix this before you sign a contract. I am pooping right now with fear that someone will push the door open. Pooper out.

My daughter had a wedding here on August 7, 2015. I was so impressed with everything! The staff was super great, the food was awesome, the DJ was wonderful. Overall, we were really happy we booked this place for this event. Could not ask for a better venue. Excellent job!!!

Honestly and truthfully, I had huge doubts about booking the Monte Cristo Ballroom as my venue, but was pleasantly surprised and happy with how things ultimately turned out.
The closer and closer I got to my wedding, the more I wished we had booked a different venue that 1) was not right across the street from and kiddy corner to a Goodwill, 2) was not in Everett, 3) had a full open bar (their open bar is well drinks only, no mojitos or old fashioneds or martinis), and 4) had a little bit more «class».
Overall, I was very pleased, all thanks to Hillary and the great MCB staff. Hillary was my day-​of wedding coordinator and we had exchanged a few emails and phone calls in the weeks leading up to the wedding to ensure we were on the same page.
Some highlights:
1. The white chair cushions were filthy each time I visited the venue. She made sure they were cleaned before my big day.
2. I thought the silk fake flowers around the venue were tacky. She removed them for me.
3. One of the light fixtures was broken and the bulb was exposed. She put in a work order to fix it.
4. Everything was perfectly executed and decorated, per my detailed timeline. I showed up and everything was set up exactly as I had imagined.
5. There were so many staff on site to help. From the butler, door men, and others, I was always attended to. And when I had dirt on my train before my ceremony, Whitley came in and lightly scrubbed at my silk train with club soda until it was spotless.
Some things that need work, but weren’t the end of the world:
1. The food is just average. I’m a huge foodie, so this was a huge bummer to me. I ordered the flat iron steak and it was way overcooked and dry. I didn’t eat it. I heard the salmon and chicken were better. For my typical American family members who value quantity over quality, however, they were impressed. You will not go hungry, that is for sure. The crab cakes kept coming, the entrees were huge, and then there was the bar food.
2. I couldn’t really hear the music in the banquet hall during dinner, and I was sitting only in the middle of the room at the sweetheart table. If the MCB could fix the sound system such that everyone in the room could hear the music coming out of the speakers, that would be great.
3. The «open bar» option needs work. We ended up just doing the beer and wine option, since I would only want to pay for an open bar if it was truly open. My friends and I drink martinis, mojitos, old fashioneds, pisco sours, white russians, etc. They could make none of the above. They do well drinks only. No muddler, or cocktail shaker on site. I asked.
4. Some details are hit or miss. I personally thought some elements looked cheap or tacky, but that’s just me. The chairs were plastic (not wood), the cushions pleather (not leather or fabric), and those decals in the bridal lounge? I guess no one but me and the bridesmaids saw those. Others loved the touches that I know Chef Anthony and his wife spent a lot of time thinking about.
Overall, I would highly recommend to any bride or groom who wants a low maintenance wedding with tons of conveniences and help, but are okay with sacrificing some quality.

Update to my previous review– Perfection. The day was perfection. I cannot think of anything that went not even wrong but even inconvenienced us. Jessica might have given us the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life. The food was delicious, the venue was gorgeous, they did all of the work, everything was set up before I knew it, they never even bothered us and things looked more beautiful than I could have imagined. They kept us with drinks in hand and down to the littlest detail had every single thing covered. MCB was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding. People are still raving about how beautiful it was, how fun, and the good. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Brides and grooms, I wouldn’t even check out other places. MCB is THE BEST.

I wish I knew about this when I was getting married. I helped my friend get married here as a day wedding coordinator but I barely had to do anything. I only ushered parents around in Korean, and I think that was about it. Hillary was the venue coordinator there, and she literally too care of everything from beginning to end.
I would ask for Hillary if you choose this place. No matter how tough things got she always had a smile on.

To preface…
Was the best man for a wedding here. I was terribly hung over, nervous for my speech, annoyed with the wedding party and was on the verge of an anxiety attack the whole day.

Where to even begin! Being in the industry I knew that there is a lot that goes into planning a wedding and when i heard about this venue i knew i had to Check it out. I was skeptical at first about being in Everett but the moment that my fiancé and i walked into the door we knew it was the place we wanted to get married.
When they say All inclusive its exactly what it means. Everything you can think of except for a photographer and florist are included and provided by the venue. They help and take care of the food, save the dates/​invites, chairs, table settings, photo booth, DJ, up-​lighting, butler, snacks, dressing room, candy bar, cake and so so much more.
The year leading up to the big day I was able to schedule appointments to come in and play with how i wanted the tables and decorations to look. I had the pleasure of mainly working with Jessica and she was AMAZING, she was so patient with me and really helped me create what i had envisioned and never made me feel like uncomfortable.
The wedding day was BEAUTIFUL! The girls fitting room is pretty and a huge space to get ready in, they provided a light lunch and we had a butler the whole night to assist us with all of our needs. Considering how much goes into a wedding the day went flawless and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Our guests had such a great time and I am so happy to say that I was married at the Gorgeous Monte Cristo Ballroom
Can we do it again? :)

I recently had my dream wedding at the Monte Cristo Ballroom!
5 star service — I had my own personal butler named Crickett, and my groom had his own named Rick. Really, they both worked for us all day long and I couldn’t say more nice things about them! During wedding photos, I could turn around and at any given moment Rick would have either water or wine on a tray… JUST in case I needed it. :)
Our wedding coordinator’s name was Jessica (although Erica took over for the en of the evening) and she was fantastic as well. For the most part, she handled everything so well, that I wouldn’t have even known if there was a glitch on my wedding day. The only complaint I have in this regard is a comment she made to me about 10 minutes before I walked down the aisle «Don’t worry, I took care of the crisis we were having…» I had no idea what she was talking about, so when I asked for an explanation she said «if you didn’t notice then I am doing my job.» True, but it is STILL bothering me that she never explained this to me. I even sent my dad during the wedding to ask her, and we got a run around answer. Apparently there was an employee there who shouldn’t have been working. What, an ex of ours? Someone intoxicated? Can ya just tell me?!
5 star food — No matter what you order– we had the buffet dinner– I promise you will LOVE it. Table service for drinks during dinner! There was only one instance that a drink came back cold, when it was meant to be hot. Come to find out the coffee heater went out and it was nobody’s direct fault. Jessica brought a new, hot drink out and apologized to my guest herself! Amazing!
I absolutely can’t wait to get my professional photos back so I can share some with you all! I would get married here ten times over and recommend it to each and every one of you!

My best friend had her wedding here Thanksgiving weekend and I cannot say enough good things about it! I was one of the bridesmaids so we were there the majority of the day of the wedding which was on a Saturday. We arrived at about 10 am to get ready for the wedding that started at 4 pm. The room we were in was big enough for all of the bridesmaids (5) plus the bride and a few others. We also had a butler who helped us the entire day with getting drinks, food and whatever else we might happen to need. All of the people I encountered who worked there were absolutely amazing. They all truly made the day easy for everyone involved.
The venue itself is gorgeous. I love historic buildings so it was just my style. The layout worked very well by having a large room for dinner, the main room for the ceremony and the bar/​lounge. I loved the photo booth! The guy running it was hilarious so he made it even more fun.
We had a buffet so there was lots of food to say the least. Three different entrees: prosciutto stuffed chicken, salmon and beef tenderloin. Tons of sides: mashed potatoes, scalloped potatoes, green beans, carrots and more. It even included a full salad bar and soup. Simply divine.
If I lived in Everett, I would definitely have my wedding here! Everything was perfect and the bride and groom were very happy, which is the most important part!

Was a groomsman at another wedding venue last month: wow, what a difference. After seeing just how poorly a wedding venue can be, I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars.
The other place was beautiful… and that’s where it stops. Understaffed, everyone from the wedding party to the grandparents were scrambling to help the staff get everything setup. DJ bailed the day before, so a random person had to iPod the entire ceremony and only had the bride/​father groom/​mother dances. The food was okay, but there was only one line open so people where finished eating while others hadn’t even gotten in line yet. The list goes on.
Just figured I’d update my review to reflect how impressed I am thinking back to this place.

I came here for the first time for a wedding a couple of weeks ago.
The venue is adorable and perfect for a smaller/​ish type of wedding. It sounds like the venue is all inclusive which would make anyone’s life easier. The buffet food was standard wedding food but they did cook their salmon amazingly perfectly.
The staff was wonderful and my friends and I had a really good time at the venue.

I just got married here last Saturday and were do I begin? It was absolutely amazing. From the time I arrived everyone was so helpful and made my day relaxing and non stressful. The food was so great, we got numerous compliments on how beautiful the venue was and how amazing everything else was! Hands down the best venue! If you want a BEAUTIFUL, non stressfull and prefect wedding the monte Cristo is the place!

My sister was recently married here back in May– and as a wedding guest– this place was wonderful. I love the bridal room– just wish they had a restroom closer. I do love the grooms room also acts as the game room and was a great place for the kids to hang out with and run around. There are a lot of places to sit and lounge and be comfortable.
The staff was very friendly and very accommodating. The take down after the ceremony to set up to dinner was quick and the food was delicious! We had a buffet style dinner and I’ve been to my fair share of weddings, but the food was delicious.
The waitstaff was helpful and friendly as a mother of small kids they went above and beyond my expectations with my requests.
The restrooms were clean (again would be helpful if they had it closer to the bridal room) the facility beautiful, the staff courteous and very friendly– and the bar area for cocktail hour icing on the cake.
With ample free parking around its no wonder my sister and new brother in law chose this location.

The place is beautiful, however…
The place is further away from Seattle as we were told. (too far for out of town guest)
The food was okay, but something gave us an upset stomach afterwards.
We were being pressured to put down a huge non-​refundable deposit.
The outside environment is a little ghetto.

Had a great time at a wedding here. The small venue is elegant and they really know how to take care of their guests. Everything seemed to be clean and sharp, not old and worn looking. Staff to guest ratio seemed very high. Space can be a little tight here. The photos came out so nice with the backdrop of this gorgeous building.
The one major negative was the food. The main dishes were just ok. Maybe it was an off weekend.
If I were to have friends ask about this place, I would recommend it for it’s atmosphere, and for it’s service.

I was here for a wedding a couple of weeks ago. The facility is beautiful. The exterior of the building itself is quite neat and the interior is just gorgeous. Lots of open space and cool architecture.
They have a good amount of overall space for whatever you need. You can easily house a seated dinner and a dance floor with no difficulty. At the wedding I attended, the area that was used for the cocktail hour doubled as a dance floor later on in the evening.
The food was okay, not fabulous, but passable. And much better than I have had at other weddings. The staff was quite friendly — our waitress was super nice, as were the hostesses walking around hors d’œuvre and wine/​beer during the cocktail hour.
A very good spot for a wedding.
