Meet the Manager
Theresa S.
Manager
Theresa has been part of our Sylvan staff for 11+ years and her favorite subject to teach is math. She grew up in the Shoreline area graduating from Shorecrest High School. She graduated from Washington State University with a degree in Sports Medicine. She got her teaching certificate by taking classes from Seattle Pacific University and Central Washington. Before joining the Sylvan family Theresa taught Sports Medicine and was the Athletic Trainer at Lake Stevens High School. In 2001 she started as a teacher and was hooked. In April of 2001 she took a position as a Director of Education. In 2006 she moved into the Center Director Role. Her favorite thing working at Sylvan is it gives her the opportunity to show kids that math is not so bad.
Theresa says, «If I am not at Sylvan I’m hiking, climbing, camping, or whitewater rafting. Oh yeah and we can’t forget skiing and gardening.»
