The waiter doesn’t understand the word«vegetarian». The menu consists of 70% of Japanese words, where cucumber is cucumber, but egg is «kitomdinosumo”(or something like that). And terrible hard sits on top of that.

Absolutely fantastic. I have grown accustomed to the sushi in Boston — this is head and shoulders above! Piglet Sound roll and Unagi roll are both delicious.

There is just no better place to eat Sushi. I’ve been to many of the so-called«best» sushi places around Seattle and none of them come close to Tokyo House. This is the kind of Sushi you’d expect from a super fancy restaurant. It just so happens to be in Everett, the Chef is amazing! Very clean restaurant and there is always some hip jazzy music playing. Now the food. I’ve been here dozens of times and have never had bad or gross food. My favorite roll has to be the Deluxe Tempura Maki Roll(not on the menu, must ask for), soooo good! Other favorite rolls of mine are the Martian Roll, Spicy Alligator, the Jeff Roll, the Blondie Roll, the Mt Rainer and the 911 Roll. My favorite non sushi roll item is definitely the Salmon Skin Hand Roll!!! Its one of those items that you may not think to try but if you do, you won’t be disappointed. Perfect balance of crispy, crunchy, chewy goodness!!!

Very friendly service. I came here because the place I was originally trying to eat at was closed for the day. The food here is okay, nothing special. I will say again that the service was very friendly

We used to love this place and used to come here often, but no more. We came on a Tuesday night during dinner… there was only one other table occupied, and you’d think this would make the service great… are you wrong or are you wrong… It took about 20 minutes just to get the order… even though we insisted that we are ready to order the waitress insisted she’ll get the drinks first… ok…we ordered a bottle of wine… she comes back and says that they don’t sell by the bottle because it’s in boxes… ewwww. wine in the box?! hello campus life! So then we order some terriaky, a soup and rice for the baby, appetizers and rolls… my mom who cannot eat spicy asks for Amanda with regular sushi… ok says the waitpersons, We wait… first comes the Tofu and then comes the ahi tuna, then the terriaki and then the stuff for the baby… finally come the rolls… and then she realizes we have no small plates and is so surprised by the fact that we realized that those plates were supposed to walk out of the kitchen all on their own but for some reason didn’t… Anyway, the rolls come and we ask which one is which(there are quite a few) and SHEDOESN’T KNOW!!! In addition instead of my salmon roll, she brings salmon sushi… Finally she streightens it out and when asks points to one as a non-spicy Amanda which my mom happily eats… OMG…did I mention she CANNOT eat spicy?! We are pissed and we explain again that we asked for a regular tuna(which was done before no problem)…first she says he must have forgotten, we ask again… she goes back and says well, it costs $ 2 extra that’s why we didn’t give it!!! Seriously!!! Did we ask how much it was!!! So then she says ok, we will do that roll and also the salmon(which I asked for to begin with), then SHEREACHESOVERUS, GRABSTHESALMONSUSHIANDONESPICYAMANDA and takes it way!!! I have never seen this before… were they planning to serve it to someone else?(If you gotten a salmon sushi and amanda on 3⁄15 or 16 it may be ours :) :)) Overall the experience just sucked though rolls were good as usuall.

Liked this place. Bento box was great. Excellent price as well. I love bento boxes because of the variety of items. The salmon was just right. The Cali roll was superb. I recommend this spot to anyone.

Way too overpriced. I paid $ 8 dollars including tax for ridiculously small portion of spicy salmon roll. It’s like theft. The food was decent but the portion vs price ratio ridiculous.

I love this place! The food tastes great and the service is fast. They’re attentive to your needs but you don’t feel rushed or pestered. I don’t know if I’m just a picky sushi eater or if my preferences are the general consensus; but 3 things stand out to me about this place. #1. The sushi rice is cooked to excellence; not soggy but not undercooked. Nothing worse then a squishy or rubbery bite of rice. #2. The rolls are rolled well; they don’t fall apart before they reach your mouth; which just so happens to be something that really bothers me! and #3. The fish tastes fresh; and I have had my fair share of sushi that’s texture was that of frozen from the grocery store and then thawed yuck! I give this place a huge thumbs up! I’ll continue to curb my craving here!

Good quality sushi! Hands down it’s the best Japanese restaurant in town. If you are looking for a restaurant with proven tradition of providing quality food, Tokyo house is the place to go in Everett.

Havent been here in a while. Hopefully just a bad night. Cold soup and sunomona was bland just some cold cucumbers. Sushi was great as expected but skimpy on the wasabi if you ordred a sushi combo A? Great sushi but the rest of the meal left a lot to be desired.

Awful! We brought our Japanese exchange student here for our first visit as she was a bit homesick. We were concerned when we got inside and there was only one table occupied during the«dinner» hour. The Korean staff and chef also threw us, but no worries… as long as the food reminds her of «home», right? Due to my celiac and need to eat gluten free, I began by asked about the ingredients of some of their entrees, though was surprised to learn that EVERYTHING is pre-packaged and/or pre-made from their supplier. They admitted they essentially heat and serve everything that comes from the kitchen. With this, my family ordered the chicken curry and rice(basic) and I ordered a spicy tuna roll from the sushi bar. Note: they don’t have gluten free soy sauce available. The curry dishes came out looking like watered down soup. Our Japanese student said it was awful, though politely choked it down. The sushi was not fresh and tasted terrible to the point I could not finish it. If you want GOOD sushi, I would recommend either Toyama down the street or Ho Sushi Bistro on 128th.

My boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place as we were driving and figured, «why not?» to trying this place! We walked in on a Saturday evening around 6pm and the place was empty. The hostess/waitress immediately welcomed us in and sat us down. There is definitely a lot of options of entrees that you can get here! It’s priced very well, I was surprised that a bento box(which is what we each got) was priced around $ 10. Most places that I’ve experienced in the past price them at around $ 14 – 15. It took about 8 minutes before the both of us got our food and we were very pleased! They give a good amount of food for each part of the bento box(teriyaki, sushi, rice, salad, dumplings, fried tempura) for the price you’re paying. Overall, it tasted very good! The décor to this place had a modern Japanese feel to it. It was clean and visually appealing. We had a great experience here and we would probably come by again in the future. The only downside we had to this place would be the music selection, but, that wasn’t that big a deal.

Amazing. There is good sushi in Everett — who knew? Certainly you’d never know it from the exterior — don’t let that frighten you. The salmon teriyaki/sushi bento lunch was outstanding — a miso soup start, a nice slab of teriyaki salmon, 2 gyoza, amazing tempura(about 5 pieces, including shrimp), a six piece roll and rice for about $ 12. You can substitute a roll for the one that comes with the bento for only the price difference, and I recommend the Everett roll. Two could probably share the bento if you added another roll or an order of sashimi. Fish was very fresh and service was excellent. The only bummer is that they don’t have tamari for us gluten-free folks. Closed on Mondays, which is sad.

I tried this place for lunch based on the Unilocal reviews and it was super close to where I work. I ordered a california roll, blondie roll and edemame togo, I was shocked it was $ 28 plus tip for 3 items, as I sat and waited for my order the guy making the sushi was talking/flirting with some girl, the place was dead and I was the only customer in the place and finally after over 20min of waiting I got my order and back to work I went. Most of it went in the trash, not worth the high prices they have and the quality of the fish isnt that great, at least I was able to eat the edemame, I will not be returning to this place and will stick with Oshima on Evergreen next time Im in the mood for sushi. high prices, poor quality food, poor customer service. save your money and go else where.

Tried their new mermaid roll today. It’s decent but they put so much katsua flakes and the roll size itself is so small for the price. Every roll I’ve had is these 8 small pieces. I can go to mukilteo to my favorite sushi place and pay $ 5 more for twice the food and honestly fresher fish. I don’t know if I’ll be back here-I’m just underwhelmed I guess. Hard to be happy with this when there are way better options.

I had been to Tokyo House before solo, but last night on the commute home from work, when my husband said he had a hankering for chicken katsu, I suggested we try Tokyo House together. We got there right around 5pm, and aside from the lone server and chef, there was no one else in the restaurant. For my husband, this always raises his eyebrow as a sign of something bad to come, but I assured him he could ease his mind. I opted to have the chicken teriyaki bento box — one of two bento options available(the other is with salmon). With the bento, you get a cup of miso soup to start. The miso was perfectly salty and miso-ey(is that a word? No? Well, it is now!) and piping hot. Some Japanese restaurants serve warm soup, but I like mine hot, so we were off to a good start. My husband started with a typical green salad, which was included with his katsu meal. It came lightly dressed in what I believe to be a basic vinaigrette of rice wine vinegar, sugar, and a touch of sesame oil. Then came dinner, and mine didn’t disappoint nor did my hubby’s. I had chicken teriyaki, which sat atop raw shredded cabbage & carrots. The teriyaki sauce was perfectly sweet, and the chicken thigh meat was perfectly cooked. While thigh meat will never be my favorite, it seems to be typical for chicken teriyaki. It also came with salad(or your choice of rice), two meat gyozas, and vegetable & prawn tempura, as well as a fried salmon sushi roll for $ 10.95. I personally think the bento is excellent value given all that it comes with. The only thing they didn’t deliver on was the tempura, and to me, tempura is one of the epitomes of Japanese cookery. While the tempura was warm, the batter was somewhat dense and not at all crispy. Tempura, to me, should be crispy and light. This batter was reminiscent of the texture of pancake batter in terms of texture. Also, when I last ate here and had the same meal, the tempura had a tangy dipping sauce. This time, I wasn’t given any dipping sauce(nor did I ask for it). So, –1 star because the tempura could use some improvement. My husband raved about the katsu, and said the katsu sauce was the best he’s ever had. For a guy who walked in with one raised eyebrow, I think things ended just as I had hoped — with full, satisfied bellies. We will be back, but I probably won’t have any tempura next time.

The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars to Tokyo House is the price. It is very spendy for a sushi place in Everett. We love sushi and go a few times a month if possible but Tokyo House is a splurge for us. That being said the chefs cuts of tuna and salmon are beautiful and really delicious. The miso soup is spot on! We tried the new 458 Italia roll and I highly recommend it! It’s spicy but not overdone. I really love the Tokyo roll which is a tuna and avocado roll, simple but delicious! I also like how they pack the to-go orders. It’s arranged neatly and is in the to-go container just as you would see it on your plate if you were dining in.

I’ve been to many sushi restaurants in my travels with my wife. However, The best sushi we have ever found is in Everett at Tokyo House. The staff is always friendly and the food is always awesome. The Sushi is very fresh and the size of the portions is very generous. I just can’t say enough about this place. Don’t waste your money at an all you can eat sushi belt. Instead, go to Tokyo House and get real quality Sushi. You will not regret it.
