The Café is under new ownership. The food is fabulous. Suzie is well known in Evergreen(did you ever at at Suzie’s Café? Then you know). They are open 7am-3pm. Coffee is truly the best in town.(It has always been great even under previous owner and it is still great. Same pro equipment and still wonderful. Try a Flat White.)

Let me explain my 3 stars. I only went in for coffee. I plan on going back for food and I’ll adjust it when I do. Evergreen baristas from my experience so far have been horrible! This was probably the best coffee drink I’ve had so far. Their espresso machine is a hands off model. I almost walked out when I saw it. Until I saw they carry Ozo coffee! They r a roaster/coffee shop in Boulder and they know their bizns. The guy that made my drink was pretty young looking. I remember thinking what can this kid know about coffee? Well he knows something the other places don’t. How to make an iced coffee drink. Not to much choc to hide the coffee taste. And it was a cold drink to the bottom and my ice lasted the entire drink. 1 star for atmosphere. Great salt water tank! 1 service. Super nice and the food looks good 1 for the best iced coffee drink I’ve had in Egreen so far Looking fwd to adding another star for food. 5 stars would be tough to get from me anywhere. I’ll keep searching around and trying diff«baristas» but I’ll get my beans here for sure Update: Tried the quiche it was great!

Horrible food, high prices, and«slow» staff… Went in with a coupon. Needed to spend $ 15. Ordered 8 $ Italian beef sand with extra hot peppers and provolone w/side mac salad, Iced latte, and a 4 $ cinnamon bun 2go. Spent $ 8 with a $ 10 cert. So $ 18! The sand was«overcooked» flavorless roast beef(not saved Italian style beef) On an under baked WHITE… french roll? It had zero hot Italian peppers, no beef au jus and some flavorless shredded cheese.(not provolone) It was ok that there was half as much meat as there should have been because It was nasty, dry, chewy and prob. old anyway. This thing«not sure what to call it» came with a nice sized side of coleslaw! I however ordered mac salad… that is also ok because they were both over dressed and disgusting! Inedible. honestly. Like eating mayo(mac salad).or vinager/sugar(cole slaw) with a spoon… About this time my «cinnamon bun» came out in a box… I was on my way up to get a refund about then. After much confusion about how to take $ 8 out and hand it to me, a line started to form. I decided to take a look at the«cinnamon bun» and if by any chance it looked good… take it and my drink and go… THIS is when it all became funny! In the cinnamon bun box was the customer who ordered after me «like 15 minutes ago» entire order… I got my $ 8 and left.LMMFAO. I am new to CO, but I still really do not know how a place like this can possibly stay in business! and they seem to be everywhere here. I have had an Italian beef sand that came off a cart and cost $ 4.50 that tasted 100X better than that thing they served me. Owner.here ya go!

What a great find off the beaten path! We were headed into Evergreen for the first time, and not quite sure where to go. We pulled off the road into a parking lot so I could orient myself and the GPS. The Café At The Place was in this little shopping center, so we went in to give it a try. GREAT atmosphere with a comfortable lounge, plenty of tables and booths, a gorgeous aquarium, and very bike friendly as they had pumps, tubes, etc for cyclists. The spiced chai my wife ordered was«the best I’ve ever had.» The muffins and breakfast pastries were great, too. We stopped back in on our way out of Evergreen for their Frozen Yogurt bar, where 100% of the profits go to support local charities that you choose. The owner walked me around and showed me a community multi-purpose room, a state of the art teleconference room, and a green screen video room that is all open to the community. Really a rare and wonderful place!
