This salon is closer to me than my preferred salon and I knew that one would be crowded midday on a Saturday, so I decided to give Oriental a try. All I was getting was a color change… pretty standard in-and-out thing. At arrival I asked if they take walk-ins just for color change and I received a snippy«Yeah sit down,» from the man; no mention of how long the wait would be. I wasn’t worried because it didn’t look particularly crowded but, surprisingly, after 25 minutes I was finally seated. A very polite young woman did my nails and they looked great. The other customers looked pleased so I do honestly think this place could be good. If you are getting anything other than a color change or eyebrows done, I’d make an appointment because of the wait time.

I’ve been to Oriental Nails twice, both because I was desperate for a pedicure, and my usual nail place by my office couldn’t fit me in. The first time I came here, I was annoyed, because they said they could take me, and set me up in a pedi chair with my feet soaking, but no one actually took care of me for 25 minutes, as the staff were all working with other customers. I wished they had told me this up front, as I was on my lunch break, and was then cutting it close getting back to work on time. They did a fine job on the pedi, once they did get to me. With this in mind, I was hesitant to return on my lunch break last week, but decided to take a chance. This time, they weren’t busy, and were able to take me right away. I was in and out with plenty of time to spare on my lunch break, and ended up with a decent pedicure by a nice person. Oriental Nails still isn’t my first choice, but if my usual place can’t take me and I really need my nails or toes done, I’ll keep them in mind.
