Orange Grove Frozen Yogurt

I’m upset. Can’t you see?
Today was my first time back to Orange Grove in over 9 months. Instead of forcing my boyfriend to drive me to Menchies, my go-​to, I said, to hell with it! Orange Grove is down the street and must’ve gained some character and better quality over the year.
OH, how I was so wrong! It pains me to see an overall 4 star rating and a «Yelp Loves Us» sticker on the window. I just don’t understand.
This is how it went:
1. Park the car
2. Get out
3. Walk up to the glass doors
4. See a «Cash Only» sign on the door. (Gooody! I have no cash, ever. That’s why I have a boyfriend. Whatever.)
5. Walk inside and on the dirty floors.
6. Walk up to the machines and HALF of them are «Out of Order.» The other half with the «LOW» lights on and the mixing «OFF.» (The mixing button or whatever you want to call it is just then being turned on by the young man working.)
7. No sample cups unless you ask. (Employee didn’t ask us.)
8. Sample 2 flavors and have fro yo running down my hand.
What a hot mess this place is! You know what? The sign outside even has the green stickers inside the letters peeling off the word, «Grove.»
I can only hope this place will go under new management and some renovation soon.
But, if not, I have options in Kapolei. Until then… zero stars in my head and 1 star on Unilocal

Good spot for some delicious frozen yogurt.
The parking situation sucks but it makes up for it with all the flavors and toppings. My favorite flavor is blue Hawaiian and vanilla but it’s fun to try new flavors and mix and match.
Wide variety of toppings with enough to catch everyone’s fancy.
This place is seldom busy and you could easily make a family of 4 – 5 happy for less then $ 20 total. I don’t think I’ve ever paid more then 5 or 6.
They have a punch out card which is a plus especially if you’re a frequent visitor. I’ve been here often and will continue to keep coming back.

Not a bad joint to get some yogurt. I like the fact that the strawberry flavor has some tartness to it. A lot of other places make their strawberry too sweet. Customer service was pretty good too. The guy behind the counter was extremely helpful. I believe his name is Ivan Santos.
I think I’ll be coming back here again.

OMG just had the cookies and cream froyo and it was Awesome! I’ve never been interested in frozen yogurt but the kids love it so I thought I’d try and I’ll definitely be back to try other flavors!

I love to eat healthy now days so frozen yogurt is the best to satisfy that sweet tooth… I took a ride with my sweetie to get that satisfaction lol and ended up in Ewa Beach at this location it was great the place was empty and very clean. I love the variety of flavors but always stay in the box and get chocolate vanilla swirl lol with almonds my favorite. The staff were sweet everyone should get yogurt so this location stays open most yogurt places have closed so that’s crappy. This spot is the best.

As far as desserts go, OG rates about 3 stars, because if you hit some of the finer restaurants on this island you will find some awe-​inspiring treats, and that’s not even getting into the bakeries and such which win TV shows like Cupcake Wars.
But on dessert locations in this neighborhood, especially of the chilled variety, OG is 4 stars. Been here about six times (and yes I have six different stamp cards to show for it because I’m that guy who keeps forgetting them). Actually, I think about four are in the ashtray in the car.
My favorite concoction is to make mix vanilla, cheesecake, and some manner of strawberry Fro-​Yo with strawberry syrup, Fruity Pebbles, and graham cracker. And maybe one or two more items depending on how much I ran that day. but I have been known to sneak a gummi bear or two.
It’s always less than $ 5, and I’ve never been disappointed. Big thumbs up to OG, and I hope the place can hang on that corner for the long term.

Stopped by a couple more times since my last review. They do keep it clean in here the tables, yogurt machines and counter with the toppings.
As far as flavors I wish they had strawberry. Melona keeps me coming back for more!
Customer service has always been good. I always «take out» so they provide covers and a bag or box.

The yogurt was alright, but really soupy. Also, they had some funky favors, including black bean. We’re from California, but not that granola.

yay! for frozen yogurt… stawberry was out :(but vanilla, chocolate, and mixed berry with banana and strawberries = brain freeze heaven.
really clean and a good selection of flavors and toppings. though bf wished they had more crushed candy options.

Love that this place is so close to us and in a convenient shopping center. I have to say I was a little disappointed that they didn’t have pre-​packaged to go containers like Menchie’s does, but the guy said to just fill the cup with the flavor I liked and he would provide a to-​go lid.
Yogurt flavors are pretty good but I have to say that I’ve never seen this place busy yet. The few times I have gone, I was the only one there and the workers were always in the back office. I do like that it’s pretty clean and they are open pretty late too. Will be back!

For convenience and flavor Orange Tree earns a solid 4 stars. Located by Foodland, it’s an easy place to grab a quite (cold) bite to snack on, or have a spontaneous date. There’s a large flat screen behind the toppings counter that has a variety of things on, or the staff will turn it off and have music playing. There are many different flavors that they rotate through on a regular basis. Their toppings vary from nuts, cookies, and chocolate to popping bubbles, mochi bits, and fruit. Mix and match flavors and toppings as you please! After you’re finished with your masterpiece, you take it to the register, weigh it and pay. DON’T FORGET YOUR STAMP CARD! Get 12 stamps and get $ 5 off your next yogurt purchase! It’s a great place to bring kids or hang out with friends. It’s definitely convenient as well — especially if you happen to live around Ewa Gentry. Stop by on a hot day — you won’t regret it!

When my husband and I first got to Hawaii, this is what we pretty lived on and we almost we neg in the bank account due to this place. I guess you can say we really loved this place. They pretty much have a new flavor every week to try.

Frozen yogurt is hard to do wrong and they don’t! Lots of options with self-​service leads to great experiments. Fun stuff!

Frozen treat for a blazing summer!!!

I find it weird that they changed the name from Orange Tree to Orange Grove. I wish they hadn’t as Orange Tree sounds a lot more better. Anyway, I’m rating this Orange Grove specifically for customer service because I feel that all fro-​yo concoctions taste the same even if they have different company names.
Unlike the Kapolei Orange Tree, the Ewa Beach OT has awesome customer service because:
(1) they don’t follow you around like a criminal.
(2) they give you more than 1 sample cup
(3) even if they talk stories with each other, they still manage to pay attention to customers.
(4) did I mention, they DON’T FOLLOW YOU AROUND LIKE A CRIMINAL?
One of the workers also mentioned and gave us a stamp card during one of our visits there. If you get x amount of stamps on your card, you get $ 5 off from the total amount. If they don’t mention it, ask. Who doesn’t want $ 5 off?

When I was craving frozen yogurt I saw orange tree but when I went inside I was kinda disappointed by the service since it took forever or someone to assist since they were in the back yapping and didn’t pay any attention to customers and then the topping were just a tease from it advertisement of fresh fruits and come to find out all they have is super sour strawberries and some canned pineapple… So sad that why I give my 1 star cause once customer service. but i still came back couple times since we dont have enough froyo in Ewa Beach, lol.

theirs are yummy — selection is small tho– — but great tasting yogurt

It was the best of times, twas the dessert of times… for I had drifted aimlessly across this godforsaken island looking for something sweet. A piece of cake, perhaps a jelly donut, why I’d even stoop as low as an overpriced scoop of broken ice injected full of sugar and artificial flavors. I think the locals call it…“shave ice.” And yet, as I wandered down the dark corridors and empty streets of Ewa Beach’s lack-​lusting 15 mile speed limit looking a piece of sweet nectar to graze the very tips of my tongue, an orange sign caught my eye. I believe it was a construction sign telling me to slow down even more so. Quite frankly, I don’t know how that’s possible. For the speed limits here will be something I’ll never understand. Nevertheless, I did what it told me. I slowed down. And I’ll never be more grateful. For behind that orange construction sign was another fascinating logo. An Orange «O» screaming at me to stop and pull over. At the speed I was going, I was practically pulled over already so I said, «What the hell. Why not?» and walked inside to gave it a try. The first thing I noticed was how every employee made it a priority to say «Hello!» I mean the cashier greeting customers as they walk in, I could understand. But honestly, one was wiping down the machines as another peeped their head around the back room on break as it seemed! But hey, that’s good business. I guess when they get a few flat screens on the wall, they won’t have to look at assorted toppings all day while waiting for the next hungry wanderer in search of dessert –because that’s exactly what I was.
Now on to the review:
The venue is small so don’t expect too many flavors or chairs. That’s besides the point anyways. Here is place that’s «get up and go.» And with that said, I was very satisfied to know that I was able to sample a few, pick my selections, dabble with a few toppings, pay and go. My only concern was how the workers were a bit stingy with the sample cups. Nevertheless, I’m sure you’d be able to ask for more. The flavors were adequately satisfying and toppings were clean and organized. I gave it one star short of five due to the lack of technology or music. Other than that, the employees alone make the trip for surgery delights worthwhile and sweet…

Came to this OT since I was in that area and just though i’d test them out. The place is pretty small with only a couple tables and chairs here and there. So it must be really cramped during peak hours. The yogurt taste the same as any other OTs. Same fruity and tarty selections and taste such as stawberry, kiwi, blueberry, pineapple, etc along with the usual toppings of various mochi flavors, cereals, candies, etc. Overall more like 3.5 since theres another OT right down the road for my house and much more spacious =P
