Darling Lashes

I’m obsessed with my eyelashes because Jennie is so super amazing at what she does! I always look forward to my lash sessions because she is also so kind and fun to talk to!!! If you’ve had a bad experience, don’t give up on lashes, it is worth giving Jennie a chance to do your lashes right!!! I’m sooooo glad I met this incredible artist!

Jennie is great. This is my first experience with extensions. Jennie listened to what I wanted and did a great job. The application process is easy, painless and even relaxing. She earned my business going forward.

I’m a relative eyelash extension newbie, but my previous and only experience was fairly traumatic. Previously, my big gripe with the application was that the process actually hurts — the pad/​tape they use to hold down your lower lashes is stiff, and tugs at the sensitive skin under your eyes, which over time will exaggerate any fine lines. And even as they use this pad/​tape, somehow a few of my lower lashes got stuck to my upper lashes anyway, and the technician has to pull them apart. For those of you who aren’t familiar, pulling apart eyelashes that have been glued together is very painful. On top of that, the fumes (?) from the glue they use to stick the false lashes to your real ones made my eyes sting and water. But my biggest grievance is that I wear glasses pretty much every day, and they sit very close to my face. Thus, my false eyelashes actually brush up against the lenses of my glasses, and annoy me every single time I blink.
With such a terrible experience the first time around, you can probably understand that I was reluctant to give false eyelashes another chance. But my vain side won out, lured by the idea of longer, fuller, beautiful lashes, plus Jennie reassured me that she has lashes short enough to work with my glasses, but long enough to be noticeable. So, tempted, but apprehensive, I made my way to Darling Lashes.
Not only is Jennie very friendly, she’s also very informative. As she applied the pad/​tape to my lower lashes, she told me that the pad is actually filled with collagen to help nourish and restore the skin under your eyes. I was irrationally pleased to learn this. Then, she tested different lengths of lashes to ensure the lashes wouldn’t rub against my glasses. About halfway through, I noticed my eyes weren’t stinging as much as previously and asked why that was. That’s when she told me her glue does not contain the typical harsher chemicals, but instead it is specifically formulated for sensitive eyes. Near the end, though, my eyes did start to sting a little bit. This is probably because I do actually have very sensitive, especially dry eyes. But Jennie was prepared for even this and quickly produced a little fan to blow the fumes away.
The entire process took less than an hour — which is impressive because over 140 individual mink lashes were applied during this time. The most delightful part of this experience was that none of my eyelashes had been inadvertently glued together. I was cheering inside as I had been dreading that part. Overall, I honestly enjoyed my experience at Darling Lashes. I really appreciated the small, but thoughtful steps she took to really cater to each customer. On top of this, she’s very careful, quick and well prepared. Now my lashes are incredibly full, fluttery and light and don’t brush against my glasses. YAY!
A few hot tips — the entrance is right next to Lago’s Tacos on water street in excelsior. There is free street parking. And lashes are done by appointment only, so you have to call ahead.

I’m so thankful that a friend had recommended Jennie. I was getting my lashes done at another place and wasn’t that happy with the results plus my lashes were getting really weak as a result of several lashes being glued together to one extension and heavy lashes being used. Jennie was able to correct the previous work and make my lashes look full and amazing and her glue is formaldehyde free which is a huge bonus. I don’t know how Jennie makes my lashes look so full but she is a miracle worker. Jennie also takes the time and care to make sure that her work is perfect before she finishes — I don’t feel like she is churning me through the door so she can fit one more person in to make a quick buck. Jennie focuses on quality and she is also such a friendly and outgoing person so I love chatting with her while she works. To sum it up — high quality at a very reasonable price — you will not find a technician better than Jennie. I’m thrilled with my lashes and will be a long term customer.

I was nervous about getting my lashes extended. Only because I was afraid of my real lashes (which is long to begin with) falling off or if it wouldn’t grow back. She reassured me I have nothing to be concern about. I must say the result was AMAZING When I went to Mexico back in January and Into the Ocean to go without the hassle of wearing mascara and have it run down on my face. I was worried FREE and Ever since then I’ve been going to her. She the BEST!

Jennie does amazing magic in fixing my weak fine lashes that were done at another salon. I have had lash done for at least two years and have never seen my lash the full. It also felt lighter than the conventional lashes that I had. Better yet, there is no Formaldehyde in her product!
Finally, her pricing is shockingly reasonable at $ 20 for a one week fill. I had to do it weekly usually at another place and it is $ 50 per trip. Jennie’s artistry is simply amazing. It is worth the drive out to the excelsior waterfront to see her.

I had my lashes done for the first time from Jennie and I was very happy with the result. It looked very natural and very relaxing. She was comforting and made sure you loved it before leaving her place. I’m definitely going back for refills!

Darling Lashes is affordable, clean, quick and painless. Jennie makes my lashes look natural and just the way I like them. They feel comfortable and light. No clumpyness. She also makes sure they stay on good and look great, bc she’s a bit of a perfectionist. ;) the whole experience of her work puts you to sleep… yea, literally that comfortable.
