Exeter Meats has been Exeter’s locally owned meat market for over 65 years. Currently owned and operated by Richard Anderson. Richard Anderson is a third generation butcher. Richard’s grandfather, Warren Anderson sought employment at the local Tulare Locker and Meat Market where he was initially introduced to the meat processing business. It wasn’t until the local meat market was burnt down that Warren took a risk in 1956 and opened Westside Meat Lockers in Tulare California. Richard (Dick) Anderson, father of Richard Anderson would buyout his father retaining full ownership of Westside Lockers Tulare. Richard Anderson, an entrepeneur at heart, bought out his father, Dick Anderson and is now the owner of Westside Lockers Tulare. The third generation butcher has since opened a storefront in Hanford and most recently retained ownership of the meat market and smokehouse.
