Description

Specialties

To further explore the serious side of Serious Fun, each of our programs is broken into themed, multi-week Learning Units that lead to a natural progression of skills throughout our Core Season, into our Summer Session and from one year to the next.

In each Learning Unit, physical activity is a conduit for Three-Dimensional Learning. In every dimension, self-confidence and a proud smile are evident outcomes.

History

Established in 1976.

More Than 35 Years of Serious Fun

In the mid-1970s, The Little Gym concept sprang from the heart and mind of founder Robin Wes. An innovative educator, musician and kinesiologist, Robin envisioned a nurturing place where children could explore their physical development, while also growing socially, emotionally and intellectually. Although teaching physical education in a competitive setting was the accepted norm at the time, Robin believed there was a better approach. Instead, he created an environment filled with the spirit to achieve rather than the pressure to win. Robins non-competitive approach was unheard of back then. Revolutionary, even.

Robin opened the first The Little Gym in 1976 in Bellevue, Washington. Since then, we’ve honed the teaching methods he set into motion, structuring them into an expanded curriculum, with each class building on lessons learned in previous ones.

Business Owner

Owning and operating their own The Little Gym is a dream come true for Page and Asian Clemente. After many years of hard work as a corporate attorney and an employee of the New York City Board of Education, respectively, the stars aligned in a way that allowed Page and Asian to pursue their mutual desire to work for themselves in a career that would enable them to help others. In keeping with The Little Gym way, Page and Asian believe strongly in working hard, playing hard, and changing children’s lives for the better! They know firsthand the value of the proven The Little Gym non-competitive, curriculum-based gymnastics program, having seen their daughter blossom through her The Little Gym experiences. Being able to share The Little Gym concept of developing confident, well-rounded children through motor skill development, fitness and fun is why Page and Asian were so excited to open The Little Gym of Exton!
