Used these guys 2 weeks ago. I had to give 4 stars only because they showed up 30 mins later than our scheduled appointment time but they were GREAT! They brought probably the biggest truck I’ve ever seen and were extremely professional. They had every moving tool imaginable and handled my furniture with the utmost care. They even made an extra stop at my request and still finished withing the estimated completion time. I even had access to the owner, Peter, throughout the process.
These guys probably aren’t the cheapest option out there but every penny is worth it. Use them, trust me. You wont be disapointed.

Trust me, this is the only moving company you will ever need! First impressions matter and having the owner himself come to do the estimate for my Ridgewood to Mahwah move was impressive.
Where other companies’ estimates included 2 men and an 8 hour estimate, Mr. Ferraro’s estimate was a 4 man crew and 4 hours and I could be the first move of the day. Phil and his crew arrived early and were amazing — very professional, pleasant, efficient and hard working. Everything was done in a little less than four hours including a walk through both at the beginning and the very end. There was zero breakage; all my furniture was in the exact same condition as before the move and I gained 4 hours back in my day to start unpacking.
The estimate was very competitive, in fact less than the others I received and there were no hidden fees or surprises. I honestly felt I was in safe and trusted hands throughout the whole process.
Do yourself a favor and use Peter Ferraro & Sons Moving & Storage — eliminate the stress and have a great move.

There is no price too high to pay for great movers. Forget all the horror stories.
These guys will show up with a crew of 4 or 5 guys and knock it out.
They take apart and put back everything that they need to.
We were happy when they put back our bedframe and dining room table without issues. We love using them and so happy they did a great job.

My wife and I use them for her mother.
They were on time and very professional.
They did everything we asked them to do with no problems whatsoever.
They packed and wrap everything that was needed to be wrapped.
They moved her quickly and efficiently.
A job well done and I would recommend them to anyone.

We moved last week and had three guys– Dennis, Dave, and another guy whose named I can’t remember. They were on time, efficient, and respectful of our things. It was a small, local move and they made it very easy for us. Love this company, and would recommend them to anyone!

I recently moved from Bergen County to Warren County (about an hour away) & used this moving company. 4 guys showed up promptly @8:30 am and were quick to get to work. One guy who was the lead guy did a walk-​through first to confirm what they were taking, etc. I personally moved my own pictures, TV’s, & lamps. They removed the shade from two floor standing lamps and moved those. My bedroom set had scratches on it that I had caused years ago & the lead guy noted it and took pictures of anything with a scratch before moving. They laid down runners and covered the hardwood stairs at my new place when moving everything in. All in all I was pleased with the work and had no problems using this company. I recommend them.

Look how long it took for this gentleman to reply about his business. I moved on Feb. 6^th it’s now May. Maybe the owner Peter himself should have spoken to me instead of hiding behind his employees. The only thing about his reply was I tipped his workers because it’s the right thing to do! I paid for extra insurance and all I heard was I had to pay another 500.00 after destroying two bedroom sets. No one wanted to clean the carpet or resolve the issues. Let me quote «this stuff happens oh well». The final conclusion to this is the employees messed up lied to there owner so probably no one got fired and it cost me more money to replace furniture and can’t replace family heirlooms. You be the judge!

WOW, I’m impressed. My boyfriend and I moved over the weekend to another apartment in the same town. Peter came to our apartment two weeks before the move to give us an estimate. He worked quickly and even gave us tips on how to save money and move some stuff ourselves. Peter was very honest and gave us a rundown of all of the charges and gave us the option to add insurance. He told us that it was a flat rate and that there would be four men moving our furniture. I really appreciated his honesty.
On moving day, Peter called us to let us know that they were on their way. They took apart and moved my furniture in the blink of an eye! I was concerned about the hallway in the apartment that we were moving into. However, the movers were able to fit our couches, bed frame and dining table with ease. I kept telling my boyfriend «it’s like magic!» After setting up the furniture, Peter offered us some suggestions with how we should place everything. That was super helpful. They moved all of our furniture, including a 60 inch flat screen in 3 hours. Impressive! Will definitely use them again in the future and refer to others!

Nice group of guys. Showed up on time and were quick and efficient. The foreman, CJ, was really nice and helpful. They made sure everything was set up to my satisfaction before leAving. The one thing i didnt like was that I was charged for additional packaging materials for glass items but is was all in the estimate up front. I would use them again!

I hired peter ferraro movers for my move from NJ to NY. They were great! Very professional, came on time, packed everything up very well. Didn’t waste any time. They unpacked everything just as efficiently. All my stuff was moved without anything breaking or any other issues. There were no hidden fees or anything either. I highly recommend this company!

Hired them a second time and they were just as fantastic as the first. I won’t ever use another moving company except for these guys. They are quick with their work, friendly and professional. They do an outstanding job.

Except for one thing, Peter Ferraro Moving and Storage is excellent. The son, Peter Ferraro and his crew were exceptional in every way – moving, efficiency, easy going, care in handling items, and expertise. Genuinely nice people.
The one big negative is the personality of the owner, the father Peter Ferraro. Once you sign on the dotted line, watch out – any changes we requested due to unforseen circumstances were met with a hostile, bullying attitude – it’s his way or the highway. Forget the custormer first idea. He also complained when we completed a lot of the prep work ourselves, because he lost anticipated income.
Fortunately the move went very well because Peter Ferraro Sr. was nowhere in sight during the move. I hope his son takes over the business soon.

This was by far the smoothest move I’ve ever made! Peter, the owner, did the estimate and was very honest and up front about everything. Peter’s son along with 3 other guys came to do the move on moving day — they were on time, polite, efficient, and provided excellent customer service. The move took the time estimated and the final cost was just below the estimate!!! I was amazed by how easy this move went compared to my previous moves and experience (mover quotes are never what they end up charging — but not the case here).
I would highly recommend and all I can say is thank you for such an easy and stress free move!

This was my first time hiring movers. I did a ton of research especially on BBB. Well I have come to realize that eventhough these companies are accredited doesn’t mean they are good. I was going to go with one company since the price was cheap, luckily I found
and saw horrible reviews. Then I found Peter Ferraro Moving. I was happy that Peter the owner was able to come to my apartment the next day on such short notice to give me an accurate estimate. Not a lot of places do this, so be aware that they may scam you. I had a really great impression when meeting Peter. He was very honest, he warned me of other businesses that scam their customers. Peter let me know that this is a family run business since his grandfather first started it. So they make sure they maintain a positive imagine and not scam their customers.
On the day of the move, one of the guys called to let me know they were on their way 15 minutes before their estimated arrival time. They were 4 tall skinny guys, I was amazed on how strong they are. They were very careful packing and handling my furniture and delicate boxes. I was very impressed that a 4 hour job was done in 3 hours. And may I add that it was like almost 100′ degrees out, not an easy job. The work ended up costing me about $ 80 cheaper than what was estimated. All and all I am very happy that I made the right decision by trusting Peter Ferraro Moving. I would recommend their services to anyone!

Peter Ferraro runs a first-​rate moving business! I have used his company for years, for myself and for my clients (I’m a professional organizer). Peter is thorough with his estimate, and his prices are very fair and reasonable. You can hire his company with confidence, and you definitely won’t have any unpleasant surprises at the end of your move. His crews are extremely professional and also very nice. They come on time, do a careful and complete job, and clean up after themselves. This company sets the gold standard for moving services!!!

My Mother used these guys and I’m going off her very good opinion. They came on time (maybe even a little early), packed everything so quick that they accidentally took a couch that was to remain in the house (they brought it back), took everything carefully and even left some packaging materials for sensitive paintings that will be moved by my Parents.
The best is they charged what they quoted. And they moved quick. You can tell they are professionals when they move quickly, since the more jobs they have, the more money.
