First time there and I was definitely not impressed terrible service and the massage was not very good. I will not be coming back here again.

Awesome awesome and awesome! !!! Great prices and amazing quality. Please tip $ 10.00 because they work really hard for ut. Love this place. I was skeptical about it but when I went there with aching feet and a tired back… wow! Seriously. .this is the vest. Clean professional and even wears uniform.

I moved from Rocklin to Carmichael so I went to the Happy Day Spa on Sunrise Blvd. TheIy gave the exact same massage as the Roseville Happy Day Spa! Excellent massage! Very relaxing. I actually purchased the 10 pack of coupons. I love this place for a foot massage or a full body massage!

The foot massage is super relaxing! They’ll massage your back, neck, head, and arms as well. I haven’t had any other massages from them, but the foot massage is definitely a good deal.

This place was great. They’re open late which is wonderful because I work late. My masseur was Landy and she did a fantastic job. Will be returning!

This place gives me the creeps. Not one of the massage employees speak english, some are suspiciously young, and the entire experience makes me think these people are victims of human trafficking with no control over their own lives.

This place is the worst. The receptionist is unprofessional, rude, unpleasant, and very unhelpful. If you want any spa service, go to the 1338 Howe Avenue location.

Happy Day Spa is a hit or miss. I purchased 10 massages for $ 170, and had some 3 – 4 different masseuses (after I found one I liked, I started requesting). If you also enjoy cheap massages, then I’d suggest the same strategy :).
General advice: First, if you’ve never been to an Asian massage, read the other comments so you’re not in for a surprise. They can be good and cheap, but I can imagine they’d also be a shocker for a newcomer. Second, for girls: wear a tank and shorts/​sweats that you don’t mind getting a little lotion on, as you leave your clothes on and they massage around and under your clothes.
Experiences:
Worst experiences: male masseuse named Alan. Avoid this guy. I’ve had the misfortune of getting this guy 3 times (through coincidence). The first time he was a little clumsy and rough in handling-​not very enjoyable. Second time, he spent some ¹⁄₃ time talking to another masseuse with little attention to the massage. But third time was the kicker-​he was sick and coughing throughout the massage (unfortunate for him, but very uncomfortable for me), spent minutes putting away items during my massage, and spent the better portion of the leg/​foot massage (~30 min) basically *applying* NOT massaging layer upon layer of massage lotion.
Best experiences: I was hesitant to share, but since I no longer live in Citrus Heights, I guess I’ll divulge my favorite masseuse-​Wendy. I’ve had her a few times, and each time she is very focused and applies heavy pressure throughout the entire massage to get out all your knots (warning: only for those that can stand a little pain: p). If you request her and enjoy it, please tip generously. A ~$ 20 – 25 hr massage is cheap and they also have rent to pay and families to feed.
Because I just a great experience in the midst of bad ones, I’m leaving the rating at 4 stars, but happy day spa really jumps between 1 and 5 star experiences.

I have come here for the two years that they have been open quite frequently after visiting the South Sac and Roseville locations. This location is by far the best.
This is not a day spa folks. If you have never been here before please realize that this is a no frills kind of massage joint. Foot massages are in a large open room with 20 other clothed patrons… some even snoring.
But if you are looking for a deep tissue, beat the stress out of you kind of a massage this is your place.
Until recently I have only done the foot massages, but with the incentive of a killer groupon I branched out to try a hot stone full body massage. I had Amy and she was well worth it!
Hands down the best place to spend $ 20 legally ;)

More like UNhappy Day Spa… The massage was okay. but very poor customer service. They may as well tell you that after you pay $ 25 for a foot massage, the person getting a massage expects a damn tip, they even give you a little black thing with their name on it for tip $. That’s hella rude. It so isn’t worth the $ 25 I paid. I mean the massage was good but I’ve paid $ 60 (plus a tip) for an hour REAL deep tissue massage which is was way more worth it and you actually leave feeling relaxed, not pissed off because a tip is expected of you. It pisses me off how waitresses, and I guess massage therapists (if that’s even what you’d call them here) etc always expect a tip. there are thousands of waitresses and massage therapists out there, if you stand out then I’ll tip you. you have to EARN it not expect. because most of you suck! Just like this place.

I normally don’t have problem with this place. Been here several times and mostly happy. But today the person picking up the phone really pissed me off with her rude attitude. I asked friendly for the spots available today and every time she answered my questions impatiently and rude, even when she asked for my name and phone number. I don’t appreciate this kind of treatment! Poor customer service!

I will never go back there. I used to go all the time, but my last time one of the male massage therapists made me feel very uncomfortable. And this was during a foot massage. Just not for me anymore.

Wish I could give this place a zero. Maybe I have been spoiled with a regular place in Auburn, but these guys merely rubbed some oil on, gave me some new bruises and punted us out the door. I took my bf who had never had reflexology before. We were very excited due to the rave reviews. Boy that excitement waned quickly. First, the girl at the front door said ‘yes we have reflexology and sometimes we have specials but we don’t have any right now.’ Alright, well I did not ask about specials, so please don’t tell me that I could be getting a special at some point, but uh not right now.
Next they walked us to the back. Yes the clocks are LOUD. But on top of that the chairs are super loud as well. As soon as they apply any pressure onto your body, the chairs start squeaking nonstop, annoyingly. I asked the man to apply more pressure but of course they don’t speak any English so that went unanswered. Along with that, he and the girl working next to him whispered to each other the entire time, giggling.
I think this either must have been their first time giving a massage or they are completely untrained and just appeased us by doing as little as possible with the most amount of lotion possible.
All said and done, I walked out with a bigger headache than ever and was just so sadly disappointed. I have never written a bad review ever. But we had such reasonably high expectations since I know the capability which they could possess, and was out $ 50 without feeling any better.

Can’t beat the prices, and if you live in the area, they offer package deals where you pre-​pay and get even better deals!
I had the one hour reflexology session and went back again — and hope next time I’m in Sac I’ll be able to sneak in again. LOVE that they have later hours in the evenings, which makes it easier for those who work late and want to go home and eat before going back out to get some relaxation.
Staff is friendly, explains things clearly, and offers water and other drinks before and after. Quiet waiting area, great value!

Great place to get a relaxing massage on a budget! If you buy the prepaid coupon book a 1 hour foot massage is basically $ 20.00. Once you find someone you like, its best to call ahead and make an appointment as the skill level for the employees vary immensley.

I’ll tell you that I have never had a massage until about 6 months ago — ever (and I am over 35 years old). I was a massage virgin.
I came here after hearing about «cheap» Asian massage places at other large cities across the US. I did some research and decided to go to Happy Day. They are regionally owned with 4 locations in Sacramento. I have been to the Stockton Boulevard location and the Citrus Heights locations.
Let’s get this straight. I am a cheapass. Thus, I like this place. The foot massage is $ 20 for 1 hour and they massage your feet but they also massage your entire body over your clothes. Come prepared — which means date night includes wearing a tank top and warm up pants or shorts. BTW, they massage your butt. If you are opposed to this, for which I am not, you should probably speak up. I can’t imagine why anyone would be opposed to this as I have significant meat on my butt.
When you go in, you wait in a standard waiting room with some tea and cookies. They will call you back to a large room for the foot massage (probably about 20 people). You lie down supine (that is on your back, folks) for the first bit and they put your feet in what seems like a boiling pot of water (you get used to it, kinda like when you crank the shower hotter and hotter). They start on your head with some pressure points and scalp then go to your neck. After this is your arms. Then they move to your feet. They probably spend a total of 20 minutes on your feet/​legs. Usually, some time at this point I fall asleep. When I wake up, its because she is asking me to turn over. On the other side is the back and but work along with some leg work. By the time you come out, your voice is gravelly like you just woke up — oh wait, I probably just did.
Some of the masseuses are better than others and a lot of it can be luck of the draw. I think they try to pair up women to massage men and vice versa but I am not sure. I typically will make reservations because it can get pretty busy in the evening times. When I make a reservation, there is usually less than a 10 minute wait.
I did purchase their 10 ticket package (10 one hour massages) for $ 180. I saw a sign the other day that they only will take cash for this package now but still a great deal at $ 18 per foot massage. You can put two tickets together ($ 36 for the math uninclined) for a 1 hour «real» massage.
I heart Happy Day.

If you like hard rough massages that get out all your knots then THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! It’s pretty cheap, especially when you get the pre-​paid packages. I LOVE this place so much. So what if the massage therapists don’t speak English that well, I don’t want a lot of talking during my massage anyways. The staff is always so nice and friendly. And almost all of their massage artists are AMAZINGLY talented. (Except one lady was horrible… but that just happened once and I’ve been here many many times). Julie, Fanny, and Kevin… are ALL GREAT massage therapists, just to name a few.

I like these place and they are popping up everywhere, the foot massages are great. Best deal is with the packages and if you purchase those at the south areas location they are even cheaper. I came in the other day due to the sign outside but that offered the foot massage for $ 17 but of course thats only if you buy 20 of them ahead of time and pay with cash LOL so they are $ 25 at this location but only $ 20 in the south area. (unless they went up recently) so they had a special for a full body massage and a foot massage for $ 59 so yes 2 full hours of relaxation!
Well I was only planning on the foot massage but when I was going to pay I asked if I bought the special if I could use the hour body massage another time she said no had to be same day OH well send me back in ;) I had enjoyed 2 full hours of relaxation on a whim! Eva Rocks!
I was so relaxed when I left I didn’t want to drive home just sit in the car and take a nap. Check this place out the current deal allows you to buy 10 foot massage tickets for $ 190 if you want to get a full body massage you just use two tickets good at all locations. Happy Massages Everyone.

Mom treated me to a «foot massage» here for Mother’s Day. Hmm… actually I should have treated HER but oh well, I’ll take a massage any day.
I liken this spot to the McDonald’s of massage spots: it is a chain with a standard menu of options where many people are served. Walking in, calm music is playing throughout and the lobby area is clean and comfortable. Didn’t really spot any magazines, but there was tea and store-​bought cookies as well as water.
We were led down a dark hallway with doors leading to various massage rooms until we got to the mother of all massage rooms. Mom said it reminded her of Aliens — like that scene where all the bodies are hanging, waiting for the those face-​huggers to pop out. I thought it was more reminiscent of «V» that old TV series where the lizard aliens abduct people to eat as food… anyway, you get the picture.
So there are lots of reclining chairs full of people with tissues over their faces and if you get the foot massage, you soak your feet in a bowl of hot water while reclined. This is more than just a foot massage. My masseur (who I originally thought was a masseuse) started with face, then scalp, then shoulders, arms and on down to feet. I almost dozed off. This was more like a foot massage with extras!
Turning over the back is done as well as part of my bottom. I only thought Wagyu cows got their rumps massaged. It wasn’t awkward or anything, but just unexpected.
Because the massage folks don’t really speak English, I wasn’t sure what would happen if I said I was ticklish or said that I don’t need my butt massaged or I would rather skip my scalp being massaged, etc.
You can purchase a set of 10 of these massages for $ 160 or it is around $ 20 (?) per foot massage. They are roughly 50 minutes or so and you do come out pretty relaxed for the rest of the day. Don’t think of operating heavy machinery after this!
