History

Established in 1877.

Charles Glawe, an old World sail maker began the business in 1877. At that time, his main products were horse blankets and wagon covers. Then, in 1903, he manufactured two tents for the Wright Brothers. The rest, as they say, is history. Today, Glawe Awning and Tent Co. produces residential and commercial awnings as well as offers tent rental.
