This place has the worst services in the area. the staffs are unprofessional are rude. it make the whole visiting experience horrible.
I and My wife had to do tons of tests even thought we are perfectly healthy. Dr. Nguyen and Dr, Do just want to get the money from our insurance company. They work together in the same office, they refer each other in order to run so many test on us. We have perfect hearts and Dr. Nguyen refer us to see a cardiologist who is Dr. Do (they are partners). of course the tests turn out to be fine.
We have to visit their office more than 6 times in a month to do all of those stupid tests. We get advice from other doctors, and they all advise those tests are unnecessary.
I have diabetics type 2 and i waited more than 2 months for my refills. The staffs forgot to send the documents to my insurance company for verification. I came to their office, and they called the insurance company right in front of my face. the call took them 5 mins. turn out, they never done anything till I confronted them.
Please do not visit this office. they will make you think your heaths are in bad shape and ask you to do tons of test.
These doctors are Vietnamese and they manipulate all the Vietnamese customers because they have the advantage of knowing the language.
They should be ashamed of themselves.

I had quite possibly the best medical visit with a very serious arthritic condition I’ve been dealing with for years. I’m between insurance plans so I took a chance on them because of their location and their self pay base price. Some would say you get what you pay for, but this certainly turned out not to be the case here.
I received a very warm and professional greeting and intake, did not have to wait long at all before the PA brought me to an exam room to do my blood pressure. He was also very kind and professional and made sure I was comfortable waiting for the doctor.
Dr. Choi came in and immediately saw what was going on. He asked about the history of my issue, and to my total surprise, really listened. I told him what medication I wanted, it seemed to make sense to him so he wrote up the scripts, faxed them to my pharmacist and I was out… all within an hour. No unnecessary tests that would reveal any more information than I gave him (blood work, aspiration, etc) which, again, saved me some serious money.
Dr. Choi followed up the next day by phone to see how I was doing (that has not happened in the thirty or so years I’ve been seeing doctors somewhat regularly) and was very pleased about the progress of my healing.
Good, fast and cheap… a very powerful combination I rarely see in service providers at any level!
I intend to make him my primary care physician when I get on my new policy and highly recommend Dr. Choi and the entire staff of the Pan Am medical clinic.

No patients but I waited 40 mins. Just wanted to have my eye checked and get prescription. Lady medical assistant was rude! Dr was okay. Still waiting for my Rx… wth! Will not come back here ever. Waste of time~

I initially went in for an urgent pain in my foot. They have x ray equipment and declined to take X-​ray saying the radiologist probably wouldn’t see anything so small. They offered to be my primary physician (which I needed) and went back for a physical.
At the physical they recommended an keg (I have no heart history) and when they set me up on machine it wouldn’t work. Then they said that I see a gyno for a routine exam and a dermatologist for a routine exam. What is the point of a general physician that will not do general screening? They Gave me little to know feedback on my health concerns but insist I come back in a week for follow up– why!!!
As it turns I came down with a terrible case of bronchitis the following week. I wanted to give them one more try and they are supposed to take walk ins. I Checked in at office on the list as all offices require and sat in an empty lobby for 1 hour. I finally inquired how much longer when the receptionist quipped «sorry my computer is locked up». She had never entered me into the system yet I I watched her check out 4 patients. Then she refused to get up and go ask the doctors if they would see me.
I watched every single patient that left be told they needed a follow up in one week. This place is completely useless

I made an appt and came in one day but they said there was no appt made. It says urgent care but you have to wait mightyy longggg time to be seen. Second time i visit, i had to wait FOREVER even when there was one person ahead of me. I am NOT going back again. This place also charged me $ 30 extra at the time and they just sent me a check back to me when i called the inaurance company to clarify…

Dr. Phetpailin (Dr. Lin) = 0 stars. Front desk = 1 star. Medical assistant (male) = 4 stars.
I’ve never met such a rude doctor in my life. Very smart-​ass, cuts you off before you can even finish asking/​telling her something. Visited her for an annual physical & women’s comprehensive exam, and also regarding a minor health issue. Told her about my concerns and she goes «it’s probably the weather, since it’s getting colder — your organs shrink and makes you feel that way». Seriously? You went to med school to tell me that my problems are due to the weather and look no further into it? One week later, my little problem became a bigger issue and I was seen at the hospital. Came back to her, and then she had a change of mind on my problem. I wouldn’t be responsible for a hospital bill if this was looked into further in the beginning. Overall, no bedside manner for all the four visits and follow ups I’ve been there. I can’t speak for other doctors there but I’m not returning because of her.
Front desk — I’ve seen three different receptionists. There is only one nice receptionist, which unfortunately I cannot recall her name. But the rude, snappy one is Katie. I requested my medical records because I do not plan on returning and she immediately said no. First off, it’s my personal records and I have every right to it. Secondly, before you snap and give me an attitude — you should probably let me finish what I’m trying to say.
MA — nice assistant at every visit. Gives me update as to how much longer I have to wait on the doctor. My only thing is, I wasted a good hour there my initial visit because he couldn’t draw my blood. Doctor didn’t even bother to try it, instead waste more of my time to send me off to labcorp to get my blood drawn.
Appointments mean nothing here. They see walk-​ins and if there are a lot of walk-​ins before you arrive to your appt — expect to wait a good 1−2hrs. I’ve picked this place because of location near work and school but never returning. Overall, as a medical office — you would think the doctor and entire staff would show a bit of «kindness» or act «caring», just a little.

I called for an appointment and was quoted $ 85 using UHC insurance. I week later, I call to confirm the appointment and the cost rose to $ 90.
I show up for my appointment and then they tell me it’s $ 250! Talk about bait and switch. On top of that they kept me waiting 45 minutes.
Do not go here for any reason. I will be writing my insurance company, the Attorney General, and the BBB.
I would have refused the appointment due to the cost increase, but i was traveling soon and needed the vaccine — I had to reschedule work to make the appointment. So they held my health hostage.
I see that they responded to a review by giving themselves 5 stars. Class act.

I’m really surprised by the negative reviews here. Dr. Nguyen was impressively thorough when I went there for a slew of travel vaccines and prescriptions. And according to some signs in the lobby, Dr. Nguyen has won some DC area awards — including something about Rising Stars. (I wasn’t paying that much attention.)
Dr. Nguyen took the time to find out what kind of trip I was going on, and then tailored her recommendations to me. She recommended I get the rabies vaccine since I’ll be hiking and possibly encounter animals, and recommended I get a new inhaler since I have asthma (after thoughtfully asking if I have asthma). She checked my temperature to make sure I wasn’t ill, and asked when my last period was to make sure I wasn’t pregnant. She meticulously filled out an immunizations card for me that even included the vaccine’s batch number. In the end, she spent almost an hour with me. I certainly wasn’t expecting that from an urgent care center.
Dr. Nguyen’s assistant (maybe a nurse practitioner) was also really thorough. She even measured my oxygen levels!
One side note — If you’re tight on cash, this is not the place to go. I had to pay for my travel vaccines up front, and they’ll reimburse me in about 2 months after my insurance pays them. (However, I didn’t have to pay for my routine non-​travel vaccines up front.)

I did get my check the next day after writing this review and it was the full amount requested.
