Eyebrow Design Center

Shardha knows what she’s doing when it comes to threading! She has a cute little area in the back of the salon, but it’s private and quiet. I always let her know I’d like to keep my eyebrows’ thickness and just to shape and trim. I’ve gone to her at least 3 times now and I’ve been happy with them every time. I’m very picky when it comes to my brows. You should try her, the prices are very reasonable as well. I call her directly on her cellphone to make sure she’s working that day before I show up. Go try Shardha!

I came here thinking this would be a good alternative since my normal technician is further away, but unfortunately I was quite disappointed. The lady seemed nice, very soft spoken and did not say much the entire time. My problem was more with her threading skills. My eyebrows turned out uneven and one ended up being more arched and thinner than the other. She even trimmed by brows way too short. Normally I use a little bit of brow powder to fill in my naturally sparse areas and now I’m having to use more of it. What stinks the most is waiting for your brows to grow back and getting it corrected by your normal technician. I’m sure I’ll be scolded for straying. Oh well. Lesson learned.

Unfortunately this place is closed. I was really hoping to trying out based on all the great reviews.

Sharda was efficient and did a nice job threading my eyebrows. The shape came out great– natural, just how I like them. The price is right, you can’t beat $ 10 in this area! I was a walk-​in, and she suggested I call ahead next time. I paid cash, as I was unsure if she took credit cards or not. She was not terribly chatty, but that didn’t really bother me.

She did a great job doing my eyebrows considering they were in such bad shape. She was quick and efficient. While not super talkative but that’s ok I don’t need someone super friendly I just needed someone who could get the job done right and she definitely did!!!

I was looking for a place that did my eyebrows the way I wanted them, mostly because the old person I used to go to moved to her country and because I’m SUPER PICKY! I found her and I was extremely nervous, but I told her how I wanted them and she did them PERFECT! She’s really nice and always does what you say when it comes to your design in eye brows! Won’t ever switch!

Not the best threader in the area. Was cold and not friendly and accused me of tweezing l. Small room in the back of salon. Maybe $ 10 is a steal in Fairfax but not worth the trek.

Fairfax has been long overdue an affordable eyebrow threading salon. I read the Unilocal reviews for the Eyebrow Design Center and decided to try it out.
The salon is located in the back of Comfort and Joy salon in a strip mall. You walk right past the front cash register and into the back. A girl greeted me immediately and brought me further back to the threading room. I had to wait a few minutes but it wasn’t bad at all considering I did not call ahead or make an appointment.
Shardha was very sweet and did a great job on my brows. Quick and less painful than I’d experienced elsewhere. You really can’t beat it for $ 10. Other places around Fairfax are around $ 15. The only negative is that the salon itself needs a facelift. Obviously that’s not going to keep me away but it would be nice. I’ll be back here for sure, my new go-​to in Fairfax!

I’ve had my eyebrows threaded for 16 years and never had such a straightforward experience. Places in the mall are either too public or crowded; salons sometimes can’t accommodate walk-​ins. Places in DC (near where I used to work) were just weirdly expensive for what is a 10 minute service. I love this place! It’s weird that you have to go through like three different businesses to get there, but that’s also kind of cool.

Went to this place after reading the good reviews on Unilocal.I’m glad I did! Sharda was very nice and did a fabulous job on my eyebrows (they were seriously overdue on getting trimmed)! She shaped my eyebrows exactly the way I wanted, and took the time to make them look clean.
Her threading room is towards the back of the spa. I was impressed by how comfortable her salon chair was! Most threading places I’ve been to don’t have the nice headrest and cushion. I’ll definitely come back here when I’m in town!

It took me 4 months to grow my eyebrows out after the last debacle. .back to the drawing board. She F#$@ed my eyebrows all the way up. I asked for thick and square. I have one semi circle and a square. I look like a transvestite. (No offense but many of them have thin, severely arched eyebrows.

I’ve never had my brows professionally shaped. They were a weird mix of overgrown and over-​plucked in places. Sharda shaped them up very nicely (in a comfy chair in a private room) and kept them as thick as possible. She also trimmed the hair after threading. They’ve never looked so good! Threading stings just a bit, but it was so quick and the slight redness disappeared in 20 minutes or so.
I’m glad I called ahead — I didn’t really need an appointment, but I think Sharda needed a heads-​up to be there when I arrived. I’m so glad I tried this out — I will definitely become a regular here. No more mangling my own eyebrows!

She always does an amazing job on eyebrows!!! I get my upper lip threaded as well. I just text her before I plan to go to make sure she’s there. I highly recommend this place!

she did a great job on my brows. trimmed them nicely too. will be back again. They do accept walk-​ins but I think she prefers appointments. she suggested that I call to ask if there’s a threader before I come in next time.

First time coming here to get my eyebrows done. I am very picky when it comes to my eyebrows because someone always seems to mess them up. I like to keep mine thick and natural with some small shape to it. I told her exactly what i wanted and i am very pleased with how she did my eyebrows.
Tips for anyone being afraid to try somewhere new, just be sure to tell them exactly how you want your eyebrows done. They arent mind readers! I learned the hard way. And every time you go mention the same thing. Im sure she has so many clients, i dont expect her to remember my face! Its better to sound picky then be sorry it got messed up.
Very clean inside, even in her room, and reasonable prices! I’m happy i found this location!

She did an awesome job. I am so picky about eyebrows i’ve been driving almost an hour to get them done by my usual person, But i’m travelling tomorrow and didnt have the time so I looked for a place closer to me.
She did great. They look even and natural, and she worked really fast.

I have been here a few times after finding her on Unilocal.This place is convenient and you are in a private room. The threader does a great job on my eyebrows and upper lip. She is pretty quick so even if you have to wait it is not very long. My young daughter comes along and is able to sit and watch me so that is convenient for me too.
I definitely recommend this place and although it is not very near my house, the convenience of having a private room and the quality of service is worth the drive for me.

Sharda has made my brows look better than anyone ever has. I used to get my eyebrows waxed for years, until I suddenly developed a allergic reaction to it. After seeking out brow threaders, I tried several. All four people I tried made the experience painful, and none were convenient to my home. I’m so glad that comfort and joy added Sharda to their location. Not only was it completely painless, she also arched my eyebrows perfectly, something no one else has ever done. I would highly recommend trying eyebrow design center out next time you need your brows done.

I have such great experiences with Shardha! My eyebrows have never looked better. I’ve been getting threading done for years and finally found a place that’s quick, convenient, and at a great price. My eyebrow arches looks great and no more

Tips: Her place is right inside comfort and joy spa. Very nice and they also sell Aveda products.
