These guys are the best from the owners to the staff… I’ve been taking my wife’s car and mine for oil change and any other services I need. Great customer service from the cashier to the machines themselves! If you want quality service Jermantown Shell is the place to go!

The service manager Tom really helped us out when the clutch on our car needed replaced. Normally I try to do car repairs myself, but this was a bit too big of a job for me. I got a quote from another shop that was really high and was ready to get rid of the car entirely. Called up this Shell based on the reviews and they quoted me a much more fair price. Then when we picked up the car it was actually a little bit less than what they originally quoted! Would definitely recommend and I will certainly be back if I need anymore repairs that are just too complicated for a DIY.
Plus, we even got a thank you card in the mail about a week later. Excellent customer service.

I was on my way to work this morning, and noticed my front tires looked kinda low. So i pull in and ask for help. Thank God for everyone being sooo helpful, they immediately inspected my tires, found a huge nail and fixed it! Thanks a bunch to everyone!!! My Favorite pit stop before work

On my way to work during rush hour I blew a tire about a quarter of a mile away from this station and, just by chance, pulled over to see if they could help. They were able to get my car looked at within 15 min and explained everything they were assessing with both my blown tire and my spare. I needed a new tire and had to make a meeting. They sent one of their guys out to go get this specific tire way out at Dulles and made it back in time to get the tire on and get me to my meeting on time. While I was there I watched at least three other people come in for service as well and all treated with exceptional care and attention. Not only were they incredibly efficient, the store was clean and the front desk clerk very friendly, but the service owner and the technicians were well informed and I felt immediately confident in them. I left spending a reasonable amount of money and on a safe performance tire along with a fixed spare. I will definitely return for other services and recommend you check this service station out.

My tire pressure light was on so I was going to put air in my tires here. I wasn’t sure sure how to use the machine so the cashier (Sandy) had Tom help me. He was so nice and went out of his way and showed me how to tell how much pressure to put in my tires and how to let air out, etc and did it all for me. The next day my tire pressure light came on again and I was stressed because I had to move that weekend, so I drove my car to Shell and saw Tom. I waved him down and told him the light is on again, and within 15 minutes he figured out that there was a nail in my tire and patched it up. Both Tom and Sandy were so friendly and straightforward. I will def come back here in the future if I need anything!

I went yesterday to have my car inspected. They are very professional and everyone I met was extremely polite and very friendly. The wait wasn’t long. I needed a few minor repairs and they did them for me right there and then. The cashier was so nice to talk with. I will definitely be coming back.

Recommend and will go here again. Did good job on auto emissions testing today. Was very hot day, long line of cars at the end of July but everyone was very friendly. I Passed so was happy. 4 ½ stars only because it was hard driving around station in line for test and was parked in hard place to back out of once they finished. They did a good job just don’t have enough space for all the customers that were there at once. Love holiday lights they put up every year very festive.

Fast, reliable, and honest repair service! Chase helped us fixed a flat tire that had a nail in it. He even offered our dog water while he was working on it! Family owned and very trustworthy. Plus, they have great decorations during the Christmas season. Highly recommend if you’re in need of a good mechanic!

Went to Jermantown Shell for my Virginia Emissions and Safety Inspection having just moved from California. They did a quick job and were happy to explain what all was involved since I was new to the state. I’d highly recommend them.

Service shop: Tom is the best. He’s always honest and helpful. We have had only positive experiences here. Their labor price is fantastic for the area as well. They also have a great rewards program for the service area.
Gas station: Higher gas prices than most.
They always have festive holiday décor. :)

Jermantown Shell takes care of its own, they have gone above and beyond to make sure they build and retain relationships with all of their customers. Being a family owned gas station, they re-​define what it means to be a part of the community.
They have towed my car after an accident I got in that they witnessed (no charge)
They have plowed my mother’s (64 years old) driveway and her 85 year old next door neighbor (everytime it snows)
They are a steeple of what it means to provide customer service and I am happy they are part of the fairfax family.

Fast service, though it’s just a tiny station, pretty much have everything you need, I like that.

It is about time I review this place. The first time I came to Jermantown Shell I was treated like… dare I say family? I wasn’t given all of the car talk where some start talking about things that do not relate to the problem I have and with all of the car parts I know nothing about. Instead, I was asked about my problem and told that they would take care of it. First, I’ve been coming here routinely for an oil change and I have no problem waiting inside the gas station. I always have great conversation and bring a book when they get tired of talking. I’ve spoken to Tom multiple times and he is a fair, knowledgeable and pretty cool guy. On one particular day, I didn’t trust what the Honda dealer down the street was telling me so I went up the street to get an opinion from someone I like and trust. No unnecessary repairs for my car, instead, they brought out the part that they mentioned at the Honda dealership and SHOWED me EXACTLY what was going on and admitted that the dealership wasn’t lying to me. Fair. But it is the extra step that was taken in order to make me see what was going on. I recommend people to go to Jermantown Shell as you won’t leave disappointed. Wish more shops would be more like this shop… the epitome of good service.

Whether you are newbie or regular, this place will make you feel like you are home. I have been to many other auto repair shops around this area that i have been ripped off or scammed many times. This place especially Tom, will never try to squeeze more money out of you by doing unnecessary repairs because they are honest.
I absolutely recommend this place.

Sometimes relationships can change over time. You change, they change and before you know it you are just not compatible anymore.
This has not happened with Jermantown Shell. I have been taking my cars/​trucks to this station for over 10 years starting with a 1998 Durango with a lot of age related problems and working my way through many cars and trucks to today. I have trusted them with every problem/​maintenance on every car and never been disappointed.
I now own a nice German sports car, a Tahoe and a Hyundai and it would be easy to assume that the sports car should only be trusted at a dealer or specialist but the truth is, these guys give my new car the attention and care that a dealership only wishes they could muster. Furthermore, they are upfront and honest about what I need versus what I may want and their hourly rate is competitive. They also never gouge or even try the heavy handed up-​sell.
My relationship with Shell has lasted longer than most marriages but I am happy to share them with you.

Been here a goodly number of times over the years, both for gas and repair/​inspection work. While a gas might be a few cents higher than other local Shell locations they have always seemed to have a high level of honesty and integrity when it comes to their repair work and state inspection bay.
While I do miss some of the people who used to work here, such as Tony, Dave, and Bob (former inspector who looked like a member of ZZ Top) it appears that the owner has always had a good replacement for whoever moves on.
To top it off, the owner here has a great holiday spirit. Wonderfully over the top decorations for Halloween and Christmas every year have people stopping just to take pictures with their kids. You just don’t see enough of that these days.

Many times on the way home from work I need to re-​fuel. If its late at night — this is my station of choice as its well lit and very open so I feel pretty safe getting gas at weird hours.
Best thing here though is the amazing displays of inflatable holiday decorations with animatronics they have. The moving spider nearly scared the crap out of me at Halloween as I was standing at a pump around midnight. I always make sure to come by at least once around a holiday just to check out what they’ve put up.
