Avoid. They lost my car key and fob. Said maybe a mouse took them. No attempt at resolution, just asked me to get my spares, which I used to drive to a more professional shop.

Car detailing is done with spray wax not hand buffed paste wax. Mediocre detailing is a generous statement.

I scheduled for an appointment per their website promotion for an oil change, engine diagnostic, and tire rotation for $ 19.95. I spoke with a mechanic who went by Junior and seemed to run the place. He originally quoted me $ 29.95 until I mentioned the website promotion. I showed up at the agreed upon time and place and I met Junior. He said all his mechanics called in sick, and he couldn’t work on my car. But if I brought it back he could give me a good discount. I thought what would be better than $ 19.95 for an oil change, engine diagnostic, and a tire rotation?
I brought it back two weeks later and even called that morning. I arrived at the agreed upon time, and the car was ready in 30 – 40 minutes. I watched them change the oil, but didn’t observe them performing any of the other work. As I checked out Junior charged me $ 29.95. I spoke up and it was corrected to $ 19.95 + fees = $ 24 out the door. I mentioned his agreement of the good discount, and he didn’t acknowledge it. I asked if the tires had been rotated, and he said I didn’t need them, but they will do it on the next oil change. Junior then recommended the 85,000 mile maintenance work.
The 85,000 maintenance work was my water pump, belts, and tune up for $ 950.
Bottom line, did not receive the «good discount» as agreed, did not get a tire rotation, did not receive an engine diagnostic. I did observe several mechanics washing cars. They all seemed to share the same hair cut and style. I noticed a barber shop was next door to them in the same section of their auto shop. My oil was changed, and was given an estimate for timing belt, water pump, and tune up.

I like to support «Mom and Pop» type businesses, but my experience here was horrible. I found this place via Groupon for car detailing.
I brought my car in to have some bumper scratches and hood scratches buffed out. On my first visit, I met with Eric who explained what he could do and he even started the process. I thought that was awesome so we scheduled my car for detailing/​repair for the next day. When I showed up, I learned that Eric had called in sick. Things happen, I get that but I was still a little put off because dropping a car for a few hours involves coordinating your day with someone else to pick you up and drop you off.
Because of the inconvenience, I checked prices at a couple other places while I decided if I was going to go back to this place and risk losing time if he called in again. I decided the price was right and I was going to give it a shot. I went in on Friday to schedule my car for Saturday and again, I spoke with Eric. He said he would give me a discount on the original $ 90 he quoted me so I was happy as that was a better deal that I was originally going to pay with Groupon.
When I showed up for my appointment, I was told by Eric that if he couldn’t get the scratches out, he wouldn’t charge me. It was my understanding that if he couldn’t repair the scratches and do it properly, the work would stop. Instead, I received a call 11:30 am saying it would cost me $ 280 to bring the car to look brand new with the exception of the bumper which he was afraid he couldn’t repair. For whatever reason, I agreed and told them to continue. Three hours later, I received another call telling me they would need to keep my car until Monday but I told them that would be impossible. They had promised me a few hours which is what I expected. An hour later, I was called and told the car was ready and I could pick it up. The only thing they didn’t complete was the car wash which I could come back for at a later time.
When I inspected my car, it looked like no work had been done at all but the only way to get my keys and take the car was to pay this inflated price of $ 280. I’ve brought my car to two other detailers and a dealership and all have told me that a proper detailing should have removed all of the scratches. I’ve been so upset over this, that I am truly debating contacting the Attorney General to report this fraud.
The main reason I decided to write this is to put it past me and to help others. Based on my original conversation with Eric, my intentions were to utilize their services every other month to have the car detailed. I was told I would be spending approximately $ 60 a shot. I would have happily continued to bring this company business had they delivered what was originally promised. Instead, I will never do business with this company again. In the long run, this unethical practice has turned me bitter for life. I am also discussing my experience with Groupon to hopefully prevent anyone else from getting cheated the way I was. This is a classic case of «Buyer Beware,» if a deal seems too good to be true, it is too good to be true!

I purchased a coupon on Living Social for a car detail, and when I went to redeem it they were quite honest. The problems with my interior were more severe and rather than take my money and my problem not be resolved, JR, the owner, suggested I find someone that could remove my seat and shampoo fully.
It is rare that someone is honest, respectful, and willing to give you the truth even if it means giving the sale to another business. I admire that and would recommend them to anyone based on that alone!

AVOID THE DETAILING… bought a living social for detailing and was planning to take a vehicle there to surprise my daughter… over a month wait… you kidding me. When I asked why so long the reply was «you can get your money back» RUDE. No attempt at customer satisfaction.

I am very happy with the service I have received with Main Street Auto. Even after having some issues and having to bring my car back to have more work done they have always made sure to give me reasonable rates and fix my car in a timely manner. If they needed to. kerp my car for any amount of time they take me home so I don’t have to wait. If you are looking for honest and reputable mechanics that won’t make you fix what isn’t broken you are looking in the right direction. I highly recommend Main Street.

I purchased an auto detail through Groupon. I was selling my car and wanted it to be clean and look nice inside. Upon first sight of the car, it looked great. However, after inspecting it, there was trash still under the seat and in the door pockets. Things were taken out of my car and not returned, like my sunshade for the windshield. I was highly disappointed. It seems that they get good reviews for the repair shop portion, but detailing is apparently not their thing. Even though I got a good deal on Groupon, it definitely wasn’t even worth that.

These guys are fairly priced, don’t try and rip you off like other auto shops and get the job done quickly. They also had great customer service. One of their employees gave me a ride to work while my car was being worked on and always responded to my texts about the repairs. I’d highly suggest using their services. They’ll be the first people I see next time my check engine light goes off.

After a fairly poor experience at another local mechanic, I brought my car here on very short notice to get some motor mounts replaced (own parts) and a synthetic oil change. Junior was very accommodating — he was upfront with pricing and fairly accurate on just how long the job would take. If you’re willing to wait around, there’s a small seating area inside with TV and coffee readily available.
It’s rare to find a shop that will actually recommend for you to buy parts online for better pricing, let alone install them for you. No work outside of what I requested was suggested, and there was no pressure to purchase any additional services.
Labor costs are more than fair given the area and still significantly less than the dealer. My expectations were definitely met and I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my vehicle back here for service again.

I had my FJ Cruiser detailed today and I’ll continue to go to them from now on. I drove 30 minutes to use them since I was determined to find a decent spot that had decent reviews and they lived up to the expectations. They’re incredibly professional and obviously want to do a good job. Highly recommended!

What a refreshing experience from most auto repair shops in the area. I stopped in here to have sway bar end links put on (my own parts) and despite no appointment, the job was done in about 30 minutes for $ 40. Very nice.
Came back this week to have them install headers on my truck. The original exhaust manifold was a single block of rust, so I knew it would be a tough job. I was quote about $ 500. Despite the fact that this turned into a two day job due to the rust, the total remained just $ 525.
I was told they also do detailing, so I will be back here several times a year, either for mechanical work or detailing. Great customer focus, could not have asked for a better experience.

Main St is the most honest mechanic I have come across. They do great work at a reasonable price– significantly less than the dealer. No pressure to have work performed that is unnecessary.

Great service and friendly staff. As others have mentioned, the shop was able to pick up my car while I was at work. Which saved me time and the headache.

My family has been going to these mechanics for decades. They used to be located in Arlington next to a gas station, but it’s being sold off and developed. They picked my car up at work and returned it before I left for the day — something I really appreciate! They’ve been honest with telling us what needs to be done immediately, what needs to be done in the near future, and getting us great prices and warranties. They’re very loyal to you if you’re loyal to them — and very professional. I recommend them to my co-​workers and friends who are new to the area all the time.
