Mopeds Mpg

Way to make this hard. Wrong address listed. Nothing but a Crossfit here now. Was interested in seeing some Genuine Buddy’s, called ahead, told them I was coming in, and they did not warn me about the address being incorrect on both Unilocal and Google maps.
Don’t plan on trying again. I’ll visit another scooter/​moped place that understands how addresses and social media work.

First trip here I was 1986 with my Puch moped. Only place around that serviced mopeds and scooters. Now it has been turned into a Cross fit. Let see if this last as long as It’s predecessor…

Unfortunately, they appear to be out of business and a for lease sign is on the building now.

I purchased a TGB scooter from Mopeds MPG a few years ago. The transaction went smooth. The atmosphere in the store is strange to say the least.
I wanted additional work done to the scooter prior to leaving with it and was denied. I was told they only do the work that I was requesting in stages. So I would have to leave with the scooter then return another day to get 1 thing I wanted done then return again for the next and so on. Very strange. So I took the scooter to another dealer and had all the work done in 2 days total. I needed a part last year and called them, they didn’t stock it and when I was told the price I shopped around and got for half their asking price somewhere else!
The main reason I am writing this review now after my purchase a few years ago is: I recently purchased a house in Florida. Florida requires tags for scooters. Since I had just purchased an identical scooter used from someone else they gave me the certificate of origin. That got me thinking… I never got one from Mopeds MPG. I would need that to register the scooter in Florida. So I called them. They said they would look in the files and mail it to me.
A couple days later I get a call saying they had found it. I said great! mail it to me. They said since they had to look for it I needed to pay them $ 20 for their time. I asked them why? They said because they had to look for the paperwork. I said you mean the paperwork I should have gotten when I purchased the scooter? They said yeah.
So I asked again why should I pay for something they forgot to give me?
Long story short after several minutes of this BS, I had to give them my CC info to pay for something that was mine.
I even said «you have me under a barrel I have no choice but to pay».
I don’t know about anyone else out there who owns a business but if I screwed up and didn’t give someone something they needed when they bought an item from me, I sure wouldn’t insist on a fee down the road!
I will never go to these greedy people again!

Repair work is mediocre at best. Still having issues, and hate that they charged extra.

Carol and George at Mopeds MPG have taken excellent care of my Kymco People since 2002. I take it every year for a tune-​up and they brought it back to life after it was vandalized a few years ago. Even though I live in DC and its a long scoot out there, their service and skill are well worth it. 16,000 km and counting.

I went here about two weeks ago to get some lighter roller weights for my scoot. They didn’t have what I needed in stock but Carol ordered them for me and I had them in less than two days. Not only was it quick, but I got them for $ 5 less than I found them for online, and that is even before shipping!
Awesome customer service and a great experience!!!
