Open Road Detailing

Update: After reading my review, Open Road did recently contact me. They apologized for not settling my account as they closed down their operation, and sent me a check in the amount of the gift certificate I’d purchased.
I was surprised to hear from them after such an extended silence, but have to give them kudos for making things right when they could have just ignored the issue.

Just like Daisy, I was really excited to use their service since it’s so close to work however, communication was awful. I called and emailed twice, when I finally heard back from Ryan, he was unresponsive after two emails. I called another mobile detailer in town, they picked up the phone right away and booked with me.

I have never used a mobile detail service, but decided to give one a try. Our convertible was in desperate need of washing and our SUV had not had the interior cleaned in almost a year. I looked at several mobile detail companies that service the Woodbridge, VA area, both here on Unilocal and Google searches, so I chose this one based these reasons: 1) They serve Woodbridge, VA; 2) The amount of excellent Unilocal reviews, and; 3) The fact that they advertise their price menus directly on their website.
I called on a Wednesday afternoon and the phone was quickly answered by one of the owners (Marcus). I explained the make and model vehicles I had, where I was located, which services I needed done for each vehicle and when I would like to have this done (that upcoming Friday). Marcus indicated that he was available to do everything, would be there in-​person and would arrive at 8am on Friday. He verified the cost for each service (interior detail on our SUV and exterior detail on our Solara Convertible) and I provide him with my address and a contact number.
Friday morning — Marcus arrived as promised and immediately evaluated both vehicles. I pointed out certain areas of both vehicles that needed special attention and Marcus indicted that he would do everything possible to take care of them. An example of this is in the interior of the Explorer, where I indicated a greasy footprint that I noticed when I was removing items from the back before he arrived. He was able to tell what the stain consisted of and would do his best to remove it.
Marcus went right to work, first on the interior of the Explorer. After he finished, he indicated that he was able to get that really nasty, greasy stain out of the floor and gave me some advice on the exterior. He completed the exterior hand wash on it, and then started on the exterior detail of the Solara Convertible.
After finishing the Solara, he had me do a walk-​around on both to make sure that I was satisfied with the results. He also indicated that there are other services that they do that could enhance both vehicles even more, but he would need to bring extra crew to help him. I was so impressed with the services, and the extra attention to detail, that I may consider it in the near future. We also have another car that we are considering them for to do an exterior detail, because it is due for a good hand wax.
All-​in-​all, since I was really impressed with their services and attention to detail, I would use this company again. See my before and after pictures of our Solara Convertible.

These guys are awesome, I didn’t know if the little scratches on my car would come out, but they did a really good job removing them. They came to my job and worked on my car, took about 3 hours on a camry. They are very knowledgeable about cars and. educated me on how to handle my car. I definitely will use their services again.

The idea of a mobile detailing service was a brilliant idea! The owner and another guy came right out to my house and detailed my car. I loved that I didn’t have to drive anywhere to drop off my car for hours and try to find a ride back home while I wait. They did everything right at my home and brought all the needed equipment with them. My SUV is a 2007 but now looks like a brand new car, it was amazing! The wax job was absolutely incredible! I had tar build up on my vehicle from the road construction on 495 that I was never able to get off and they removed it without any damage to the vehicle. It buffed right out. I was so happy with the job that I decided to buy my Fiancé a gift and his vehicle done as well. The full detail took about 3 hours and included exterior and interior, vent cleaning, and every nook and cranny was cleaned. Amazing job. They will come out to your work or house, whatever is convenient for you. They accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.

Ryan came out to detail my Audi TT this morning. I wish I had done «before» photos, but I didn’t even take a shower this morning so that should tell you my level of activity this Friday. Simply put, he did a bang-​up job. Not only does the car look better than when I purchased it 4 years ago, but he even went the extra mile in a few other areas. My engine bay was cleaned up, and even little nooks and crannies that I wasn’t expecting to be spiffed up were detailed. Swirl patterns on the car’s paint were gone, and when I returned to see his handiwork, I noticed the difference even from over 50′ away — the car just sparkled and shined. I’m selling this car in about 6 months, and will be in touch with Rossi again to have some additional work done prior. Thanks!
