I’ve been to Palmer Care at a different location to see a chiropractor and was excited when I saw they were offering massages through Living Social. It was a great deal, so I bought two one hour massages. The first massage went well. I called and got an appointment within a reasonable amount of time. Michelle did a great job which is why I’m giving this review two stars instead of one. Had this been only experience, I would have given it negative stars if possible. The second voucher is why I’m very unhappy. I feel like I was scammed. After the first massage, I asked Palmer Care if I needed to have had my second massage before the expiration date or if I had to be on the books before it expired. They said that I only needed to schedule before my voucher expired. Great! I called Palmer Care 7 times during the week that my voucher was set to expire. I called in the morning, lunch time and in the evenings when their voicemail said they would be open. I left several messages. NOONEWOULDPICKUPTHEPHONEORRETURNMYCALLS. I called the following week after the voucher expired and the woman who answered the phone was quite brusque said that they didn’t call me back because all of the massage appointments had been booked by my expiration date, I should have taken the time to plan ahead since I knew how busy they were and it was too late to use the full value. I could however apply the amount I purchased toward a full price massage. WHAT? First off, that’s not what I was told. I was told I needed to BOOK my appointment, not USE by the expiration date. Second, how rude not to even bother to call me back to tell me they were full. Third, how in the world am I supposed to know«how busy they are» and book ahead? Nowhere on the voucher does it say I need to know how busy they are or not. I contacted Living Social and they said their return policy that I could only get a refund within the first 7 days. I could use what I paid towards any services at Palmer Care or gift it to a friend. Here’s the scam. So if a business oversells and can’t get you in, you can’t use the services you paid for. You can only apply the money towards a full price service. So in the end, Palmer Care ends up making more money because I have to shell out more to get a massage. Or I can just walk away and they get the money from the voucher. THEYWINBOTHWAYS! Ok. I get it. I see why they don’t care about getting people in. Why bother? They have some money from me whether I have a massage or not, Living Social is no help. And why would I gift the amount to a friend or family so they can get poor service too? Groupon is so much more flexible. Their policy is also 7 days but cases are also reviewed on an individual basis. Buyer beware. Next time, no more Palmer Care and no more Living Social for me.

I had a massage today at the Fairfax City Location on Plaza Drive. The masseuse, Michael, was excellent. I needed a deep tissue massage and she got the job done. One of the best massages I have had in a very long time.
