They have fantastic agents working at Remax Presidential. Our agent, John Adams, was super in every aspect. We were not local and were looking to move to Northern Virginia due to a new job for me. We worked via phone and email except when we were local for weekends to look at home. John simplified everything for us and helped us every step of the way from looking to making an offer to assisting with the home inspecting (finding us someone and being here during the inspection), to mortgage rates, settlement and our move in. Buying
Gary was able to adapt to our changing needs and help us in any way possible. He had the patience to find us a place that we truly loved and not just something we would settle for. Gary helped us explore different neighborhoods and patiently showed us numerous places until we found something right for us. He stayed positive and persistent when we finally found our dream house in a good school district. Even when it seemed like we had lost the house when the seller accepted another offer, Gary stayed in contact with their agent and was quick to act on our behalf when the other offer fell through so that we could get the house.
Gary also gave us great advice throughout our search. He is knowledgeable about the real estate market in Northern Virginia and also about houses in general. He could walk into a house and tell you what should be fixed and why or what elements added to or detracted from the value of the house. He gave just the right amount of input on houses so that we could decide for ourselves. We never felt like he was being pushy or impatient with us.
Selling
Gary was patient as we made all the necessary repairs to get our house on the market. He was kindly honest with us about how to price our house and what needed to be fixed or changed. Deb was able to give us constructive advice on how to stage our home to be more attractive to potential buyers. They marketed the house well and followed up with agents who showed our house. Using their feedback, we were able to adjust the asking price and make other changes to the house. Gary was persistent with potential buyers who showed interest in making an offer and we accepted an offer on the house in one month.
He’s very professional and responsive. Since we both work full time and have young children, we needed someone who could be flexible. We could e-​mail or call Gary or his assistant Deb anytime and knew that we would get a response immediately. Most importantly, he was able to work around our family’s busy schedule so it was never an inconvenience for us.
Gary is honest, patient, positive and persistent and knows Northern Virginia very well. He still contacts us just to see how we are doing in the new house because he sincerely cares about his clients.
