Great selection! And I finally found a place that carries the cider I like (jacks).
I also love that they give samples out, a super friendly girl had my BF and I try the strongbox cider and I FELL IN LOVE! Now I have officially added the strongbow cherry blossom cider to my list of favorites

They have a great selection of alcoholic beverages! It’s a little smaller than the ones I’ve been to previously, but I loved the customer service! I’m kind of new to the wine scene and I received excellent recommendations and I love the taste testings on Saturdays!

Prices on wine are better than most grocery stores.
He selection of beer to put in a «build your own» six pack is unbelievable. I was like a kid in a candy store, and managed to get out of here with a sixer that was full of different fancy beers for ~$ 12

When ordering a keg, Total Wine makes the process pretty seamless. They have craft beer ½ kegs as well so if you want something better than your typical Bud Light or Miller they have Lagunitas Sumpin’ Sumpin’, Dogfish, and other IPAs available depending on the week and availability.
Just call in, let them know what you want, pick if up the day you need it, and return the keg (and tap if you rented one) the next day! Easy!
No, this place isn’t American Eagle Outfitters (remember high school?) where the associates will literally follow you around asking if you need anything every 5 seconds from the second you walk through the door, but if you seek help they are usually pretty friendly and resourceful. We’re all adults here.

Fabulous selection of wines, beer, and other alcoholic beverages. This place is above all other wine and beer stores. They have inexpensive to expensive wines. They have excellent staff always willing to help. Anything you should ever need they have and they have rare and hard to find wines and beer.

Great selection! Definitely the most diverse types of wine and beer ive ever seen! If ur looking for hard to find types of alcohol, this is it.
Anything else that can be found at other grocery stores… i recommend u going there because its a bit pricey. But if its rare beer or wine, go here.

I stopped in to check out this TW location when I happened to be in the same shopping center. I just checked out the store and didn’t buy anything on this visit. The store is typical of their other locations. I was more interested in their beer offerings. They had a nice selection of craft and imported beers in both small and large bottles. They do not have the growler fill capability that some of the other local stores do. I would definitely return to this location.

Fairfax Total Wine is terrific. The manager is great. I was making a very large purchase. I had a coupon, I forgot it. No problem. He honored the coupon. Little things like that make a difference. They have some very rare, hard to find wines. Not always the very best price but it beats driving to New York City.

Be careful that you don’t inconvenience anyone working here with questions about alcoholic beverages or you might require them to actually do their job.
I will never come back to Fairfax total wine. Chantilly location is bigger, brighter, more selection and MUCH better customer service.

This place is fantastic. The selection is really great and the staff have consistently been quite knowledgeable. My only regret is that VA ABC laws don’t allow them to carry hard liquor, as other locations that carry liquor really have a far superior selection to what’s carried at VA ABC stores.

I love the Total Wine chains! Their staff is always knowledgable, friendly and eager to help. After doing the fun tasting event at the Chantilly location, I took snapshots of all my fav proseccos and wines. I simply opened up my photos and showed them to the friendly sales associates who quickly walked us over to their locations. Although it may seem overwhelming when you walk in, it’s so nice to know that the staff is aware of their inventory and can easily share some of their knowledge.

Pretty self explanatory, but this place is an oasis of beer and wine. Aisles and aisles of beer and wine selections. You could literally spend all day in there going through everything. (Unless of course if they don’t have a bathroom?). We always get new beer to try and have purchased some old favorites too. I can never ever decide which 5 bottles of wine I Want. I’m like a kid in a candy store. I never leave there with less than an $ 150 bill, and the last time was 200 $!! It’s good to stock up because we don’t have a total wine in DC. So since we have to make the trek out there we might as well make it count. Oh and the extra perk to going to this total wine, is that Trader Joe’s and the record exchange are right beside it. What a pleasant trip.

Based on previous Unilocal reviews, It seems like customer service at this Total WIne is hit or miss, and unfortunately, the most recent time I went was a miss.
We came in not for their wine selection, but for their beers. They seem to carry to more unique craft beers than other places and we were looking for a particular kind. It took us a while to find it and we must have had a look of confusion while looking, but no one stopped to ask to see if we needed help. It would not have been so bad had we not been in the same aisle as 2 staff members who were just chatting it up.
Not impressed Total WIne. You’re only redeeming point was you had what we needed and it was decently priced. But then again, maybe it’s what I should expect.

This store feels more crowded than it’s Springfield location’s bigger brother. It also has the misfortune of being located in an extremely awkward parking lot with only one way out. Also, I don ‘t know why, but it is always really dimly lit. However, like most total wines, the staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Their recommendation stickers are always on point and the selection is impressive.

Tried to rent a keg from this place and the service was HORRIBLE!!! Where all the managers sit, i walked in and no one knowledge me. No customer service what’s so ever!!! The amount of money I paid got a keg… I should

Great selection! I’m a regular at Total Wine, but often head to Chantilly because it’s a bit bigger than (this) Fairfax location. Actually headed over to the Fairfax location after going to the Chantilly location yesterday and not loving the selection nearly as much.
As with any Total Wine, the associates are friendly and I don’t think I’ve ever been to any Total Wine location where I haven’t been approached by an associate asking if I needed assistance.
Note: They offer great coupons, but can be weird about them (using more than one for one big order) — my husband and I will often «shop separately» so we can take advantage of several coupons that we’ve collected.
This location is actually smaller than Chantilly, but I think I’ll be coming here a lot more often!

If McLean isn’t too far for you, GO THERE. The beer selection at this location is sorely lacking, and I’ve had issues with the staff here too. Last time, someone sat on the phone for 5 – 10 minutes on a personal call at the customer service desk with me standing directly in front of her with a question. Finally I just loudly interrupted her so that I could get some help finding something. You know, trying to give you my money. The reason why you have a job. You get it.

For an occasional wine drinker who is curious to know more about the different varieties and brands out there, this store is a great resource. I would prefer to buy from this place if I were scoping out wines that I have never tried before rather than winging it at a local grocery or Whole Foods. I love how they have paragraph-​long descriptions for 80% of the wines that are displayed in the store. There is also a wine score for some based on the Wine Spectator magazine. Lastly, there are staff favorites
In addition to wines, they carry a good selection of beer. This store also sells wine glasses of all types and other accessories such as bottle openers. There is a limited selection of sweet treats like chocolate and candy for the ports and dessert wines.

This was my first time coming to any Total Wine and More. And I am in love! The store has a variety of beers and wine. I was more about the beer since I could get local brews as well as imports. I learned I can special order without purchasing a set amount. I also like the fact I could buy single beer bottles so that way I don’t waste my money buying a 6 – 12 pk of beer that ended up tasting gross. Yeah I am talking about your Banana Bread beer!
Make sure to sign up for their email list so that way you can find out about local events. There is a wine tasting every Saturday!

The minute I walked in this place, the cashier could tell I was lost and offered helpful assistance. Not just pointing me to the hard ciders I was inquiring about, but actually walking me over there.
The selection is good, and vendors were there serving free samples this particular Saturday.
The wait was a bit long, but on a Saturday afternoon, you can’t be surprised. They had all lanes open as well to get things going as fast as possible.
