Van Dyck Park

Pretty cute local park. Big parking lots with plenty of spaces. Cute playground area and huge grass area. Awesome skate park too!

This is a nice park near the Fair Oaks mall that you might want to hit up beforehand to burn some energy. They had a couple different playground options; teeter totter, wall climb, sand pit, one of those spinning riders (what are those things called!!!), so not your average run-​of-​the-​mill park. While it was very bustling and full of kids, all the parents and children seemed very well-​behaved and friendly. Lots of slide options and playground choices, in addition to beautiful foliage and scenery in the heart of downtown Fairfax. Just another perk of living in the wonderful county of Fairfax.

It is fun park for kids. There are a big field, plenty of shade, a couple playgrounds, swings, slides, play with sand and skate board area. It is also good for playdate location:)

What an awesome park for kids! No fewer than 3 separate jungle gyms make this park a must for any one with kids or a kid at heart. Easy parking and friendly faces mean a wonderful weekend (although it can get crowded) or stop by during the week for a little more wiggle room and no wait times on the swings.
If skateboarding is your thing, there is a nice skate park that shares a parking lot.
Overall, a fun spot for tiny tikes and big kids alike.

I met a friend at this park for a play date and it was perfect! They have multiple playgrounds for all ages. There is a good sized sandbox, lots of swings jungle gyms, a honey comb playground, a fish climbing apparatus and great hills for rolling down. This park brought back lots of memories of my childhood. Loved it!

A lot to do here and a great place to take kids. Fenced in playground area with a sandbox. Picnic tables. Path for biking. Even a creek to throw rocks into. Plenty of shade and plenty of open space. Loved it.

Great park for kids! This park has everything for kids — a huge playground, lots of open space, and a nice covered seating area.

I wish there were skate parks as nice as the one they have here when I was a kid. There is a soccer field, some grills, and a small playground. This is a fun place to watch the 4^th of July fireworks from Fairfax High School.
