Auto Collision of Fairfield

I have used Auto Collision of Fairfield numerous times over the past years so I can certainly speak from experience. They are without a doubt, the nicest, most honest, trustworthy, reassuring and best people imaginable.
They walk you through the process, explain and answer all your questions and make a difficult situation like an auto accident as pleasant as possible.
The auto body work they do is impeccable. Your car will be returned to you as good or better than new and the repair will hold up over time.
The owners, Sal and Christine are two of the finest people you will ever meet. And Lucy who works in the office is wonderful. I can’t say enough good things about Auto Collision of Fairfield. They deserve all the credit in the world for operating such a outstanding business!

I took my car to Auto Collision of Fairfield three to four months ago and I must say I had a really lovely experience! They were very welcoming and answered any questions that I had. I went with my father and thankfully there was a lady who spoke spanish and she was very friendly and informative. They gave me directions as to how the process would go and when I left and picked up my car I was always greeted by a really really nice lady. Let’s just say I had the flu that week and it was really nice to see that she cared how I felt and even suggested I postpone bringing in my car until I was feeling better. I needed it fixed really quickly so I brought it in anyways. All in all when I got my Honda Civic back it was super clean outside and inside. Looked just how I bought it! I’m giving this place 5 stars for a job very well done and for great staff!

I rear-​ended someone back in late July 2011 — it was my first ever car accident. Although the other car’s damage was minimal, my 2000 Toyota Camry’s front was pretty wrecked sans the engine itself. The car still ran but it was an ugly sight.
One of my co-​workers referred me to Auto Collision of Fairfield. They had been patching up my co-worker’s family’s cars for over a decade. To me, that’s a strong referral since it shows long-​term stability and trust.
Before the Insurance Appraiser came, I called Auto Collision of Fairfield and spoke to «Sal» (I believe he is the owner). Sal invited me into come into his office the next day, and we discussed the estimated cost of repair if Insurance provided payment, along with the possibility that Insurance may salvage the car instead of paying for repairs. Since my Insurance policy allows a preference for the garage being used, the appointment with Sal really made me comfortable in confidently choosing Auto Collision of Fairfield.
(This may all seem like «you should have known this already» type of information, but for a first-​timer like me, having re-​assurance from Sal throughout the entire process was very helpful. Sal gave me much more information than my own Insurance Agent!)
The repairs were then approved by Insurance. You can see this as either a positive or negative, but Auto Collision of Fairfield had a 2-​week backlog. I saw it as a positive since it shows many other people trusted their cars in these guys’ hands. If you’re curious, Auto Collision’s building has multiple garages so there are many people working on multiple cars simultaneously.
Much to my surprise, Auto Collision also coordinates with Enterprise-​Rent-​a-​Car to come by with a rental on the day of the Drop-​Off. Again, I don’t know if this is common practice for body shops, but this was a very nice perk (saving me from the inconvenience of asking a friend to drive me to a car rental place). Also, I wasn’t going to be picky about Enterprise vs Hertz vs Avis, etc. since my Insurance policy had a $ 40/​day allowance and the Rental being setup wouldn’t exceed the $ 40/​day limit.
The work itself took about a week. I loved that they asked me if I was OK with slightly used parts instead of new parts (albeit I would bear the burden of the difference in cost after Insurance’s payment). I chose the slightly used parts and everything looked brand new. Auto Collision of Fairfield also details the car before they return it to you — the detailing is equal or better than the work done at a professional car wash. Again, I don’t know if detailing is something commonly done, but it was a pleasant surprise for me. I drove away with a bright, happy smile on my face.
Before I close this review, I want to point out that Auto Collision of Fairfield was in constant communication with me. This was especially true with «Lucy,» one of the ladies in the front office. She was very pro-​active in calling me to provide continued updates on how my car was looking.
The auto accident itself is stressful, as is dealing with the post-​accident aftermath. Lucky for me, Auto Collision of Fairfield made this the best experience possible.
