Food was warm, I ordered a shrimp chow mien and t came out literally in 2 min and when I got it half part of it was cold and the other was warm. My Girl ordered a lion king and bit into it and her reaction was like she wanted to throw up, asked her what was wrong and she said it did not taste like a lion king at all and tasted like throw up. Idk we’ve agreed to never come back to CJ, if at all anything was good it would be the Sapporo! Other than that I don’t reccomend this spot at all!

I’ve been going to Sushi Tandy’s for years. New name, new location and the food is still great. Love the new dining room and the artwork on the walls.

First of all I would like to comment on the waitress’s rude attitude. As soon as my family and I came in, there was no hello or even a smile. Already off to a bad and uncomfortable start. As she took our order, she seemed very frustrated because we corrected her on our order. To add on, she checked on us once until she was ready to give us our check. Our food was not worth the money we paid for. Their salmon teriyaki tasted like the packaged kind from the store with some teriyaki dressing. The sushi was super plain and had a weird texture to it. The rice of the sushi fell apart, it was dry, and grainy. The California roll just tastes like straight mayonnaise. Their unagi on the roll was super tiny compared to every other restaurants I have been to. The chicken katsu was probably the best out of everything we ordered. I will definitely not be coming back to this restaurant. Mind you that this place used to be sushi tandy, and just because they changed the name of their business does not mean the quality of their food is better and the attitude of the waitress most certainly did not improve. By the way, if you leave a tip, that’s when you will finally see the waitress smile and actually hear her say, «thank you and have a great night» with such delight.

3 ½ stars from my girlfriend and I. We both got the 3 item bento. Chicken Katsu — Huge portioned and very good! Had a side of spicy mango sauce which was simple but good. Shrimp and Vegetable Tempura — Great! Throughly battered and done well. Fried Calamari — Best part of our meal by far! Super flavorful, tasted fresh and seasoned just right. Lion King Roll — Unfortunately we did not enjoy the Lion King Rolls at all. The crab tasted dry and the sauce was a bit funny tasting. Salmon Teriyaki — Pretty good overall, well cooked. Chef Tandy is a great person with a charismatic personality. Service was great. Will come back for the appetizers and cooked food, not the sushi!

I am a sashimi freak. This must be the freshest tuna and salmon I’ve EVER had! From SF to Fairfield I recommend this place. Also, try their tempura avocado. Yummy! 16 a person all you can eat as well.

Their sashimi is super delicious and fresh. The owner is really friendly and entertaining. The owner also sometimes offers you a chefs special to test out new things for their menu. The Chinese food is delicious especially the chow mein and crab puffs. We also had tempura hand rolls which was huge compared to other restaurants we’ve tried. This will definitely be a stop for us when we are in the area.

Sushi is ok, appetizers are ok. It’s an ok place for food. It’s not a type of sushi joint where I would be down to go back again. The rolls with«crab» had a funky texture wasn’t sure if I was eating a deviled egg or a sushi roll :(They also add the tip to your bill. I was upset because I wanted to tip cash since I know if you tip with a card their tips get taxed but whatever I thought that was rude and would’ve liked if my server asked, I would’ve tip her more in cash than whatever she tipped herself too but again whatever I guess that’s how this business handles things.

My wife and I had dinner here with a couple of friends. Had a great time. Owners were very accommodative and friendly. Its a family restaurant serving great selection of Chinese and Japanese cuisine. Great food and I was surprised with really decent pricing. I had a Bento box — chicken katsu and grilled calamari. It was great. My wife had Salmon Teriyaki and calamari. We were pleased. For the short time that they had just opened, I believe they can only outdo themselves.

Came here with a family of 4. New place in town to eat very spacious, Family own placed. The menu is hybrid of Chinese & Japanese Food which I like. My family had a few bento box meals with chicken and Salmon. The other half Sweet and sour chicken with rice. All good food! The Lion King Baked sushi was very delicious, I never had warm sushi before it was bomb. I would definitely come back for that. The miso soup was very tasted Didn’t taste salty. Good service, very affordable for family and plenty options. They are new and can only grow.
