Established in 1997.

Since 1997, our unique art gallery has featured an extensive inventory of over 1,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, ship models, and scrimshaw, by over 100 of the world’s leading marine and sporting artists, including Christopher Blossom, A.D. Blake, James Buttersworth, Donald Demers, Odgen Pleissner, Arthur Shilstone, John Stobart, and Tim Thompson. Business Owner

J. Russell Jinishian, is recognized as the nation’s leading authority on contemporary marine art with over 35 years experience in the art field. Mr. Jinishian is the author of Bound for Blue Water, considered the Definitive Guide to Contemporary Marine Art and is publisher of Marine Art News magazine since 2001, the world’s only magazine devoted to Marine Art. He is the former Director of the Maritime Gallery at Mystic Seaport Museum. From 1985 to 1995 he represented over 300 of the top marine artists from around the world, sponsoring many groundbreaking exhibitions including the first-​ever American exhibition by the British Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Dutch Society of Marine Artists. He then served as Director of the Big Horn Galleries in Fairfield, Connecticut, which also operated galleries in Aspen, Colorado, in Carmel, California and Cody, Wyoming. He continues to lecture nationally on marine art and collecting.
