Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice

I had to put my dog down this morning and Dr. Butler came to my home and did it. My dog was not the friendliest of dogs and hated the vet more than anything. Dr. Butler was able to come and keep her perfectly calm and let her pass very comfortably. She goes above and beyond making sure you and your pet are taken care of. Couldn’t ask for any better than what she did.

Dr Rene Butler was amazing, kind and so gentle in the transition of our baby Copper. We loved Copper from the moment my partner and I took him home at 4 weeks old till the day he left us at 12yrs old. He went peacefully thanks to Dr Rene in our beautiful garden, on the lawn, in the sun surrounded by all of us and his family… that is the way everyone should hope they can go. Thank you Dr Rene for so much compassion and understanding in this difficult time and fitting us into your schedule for the day.

It hasnt even been 2 hours since Dr Butler helped our sweet 15 year old girl, Lucy, cross over. She was so kind and we appreciate how understanding and respectful she was during what was the hardest thing for my fiancé and I. Thank you so much Dr Butler for taking such good care of our baby.

We requested the services of Dr. René Butler, and she was able to make an appointment quickly and adjusted to changes in our schedule very easily to make sure all of our friends and family were included to see our Austrailian shepherd off.
She was nothing short of kind, understanding, and thorough in talking everyone through the procedures of letting a pet go both physically and emotionally. Dr. Butler came equipped with the necessary sedatives, catheters, pet pee pads, stretcher, and even a small imprint circle for making a paw mark for remembrance.
The transportation provided to take the pet away was large enough to carry the biggest of dogs, and Dr. Butler was courteous in taking down the names of all those involved to send a follow-​up email about condolences and memorializing our pet. Having been to two prior pet euthanasia processes at a clinic, I can say I definitely recommend the services of Dr. René Butler making a house call to see your pet off in the comfort of a familiar setting.

Dr. Butler was compassionate and made a difficult time much easier. She spent a good amount of time making sure our sweet cat was calm, and reassuring us all, before helping him pass over. I appreciated her plopping down on the floor next to the cat bed and spending some time making sure we were all ready before administering the medication. She was an angel, and I highly recommend her and Lap of Love. So thankful for her caring and sweet spirit.
