We tried this based on the reviews. We were not disappointed.
Lamb Korma — amazingly tender
Veggie Pakora — fantastic with the extra sauces from our lamb and chicken dishes.
Chicken Makhani — on the tomatoe’y side
Palak Paneer — delicious!
Free Papadam when you mention Unilocal.
I’m not sure if he was the owner, but the guy who took our order was very nice. He explained that we order the food at the counter, grab our own plates and utensils from the shelves, and he would bring us the food.
Very nice Valentine’s Day lunch for me and hubby — thanks to grandparents babysitting our little boy. Will definitely return for more!

Just had my first meal here! Delicious. You order at the register then sit at any table and are served. Small space but good quality food and fairly priced. Everything is sold a la carte at lunch (I.e. Dish, rice, and naan all sold separately). We had chicken saagwala and tikka masala with rice and naan and it was very good. You can choose your spice level for the dishes as well!

My family and I love Indian food. I am hoping it was an off day… Really off. I really wanted to like this place more than I did. A looong, long, long time ago I onced worked in an Indian restaurant. I know different regions, different family recipes can change a dishes flavor a bit.
That being said. our Mango lasi wasn’t… Well.Mango. We didn’t get the check-​in free thing. Our naan was more stale, flat, burnt tortilla. Not soft and fresh. The free chai was more like warm milk. However, the Marsala was really good, definitely worth getting.

My family and I love coming to Roti Boti. Their food is always fresh and delicious. The best part about this restaurant is there extremely kind customer service. This place is family owned. The father and son that run the front counter always make our family feel welcomed and at home. 10 stars! One way to tell how good this places is the amount of desi people who come to eat. Highly authentic !

If I could give no stars I wuld. They were so rude no greeting asking questions is apparently not allowed!!! I really was looking forward to eating here until I actually went. Never again ruined my whole experience with the customer service. Left and came to CLAY OVEN IN VACAVILLE. Happy to say always great service and great food!!!

Food was delicious! I’d give this place five stars if the entrée included rice or naan which would make perfect sense for the price. But the food was tasty and chai is complimentary which is always a plus :) I’d definitely go back.

Thoroughly enjoyed everything Ive ordered so far… They give you a choice as to how «Spicy Hot» you want to order your food too.

First time I ever tried Indian food, and I approve. I ordered the Chicken Coconut Curry, with a side of rice. We also got Gosht Madras, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Vinloo, and a variety of naans.
None of us were really fans of the Tikka Masala, but the rest was A-​Okay. I wish that each curry dish had a combo that included rice or something so that we didn’t have to order everything separately. When you factor rice into the curry, and possibly naan, the price gets pretty high.
We got it to-​go. The customer service seemed friendly, and whoever took my phone order handled a large order from an amateur very well. I really hated it when I called and it took several rings for an answer, and the person simply said «Hello» instead of…“Roti Boti, how can i help you” or something more professional and customer service oriented. The inside didn’t look that great.
Giving 4 stars because I enjoyed the food and had friendly customer service, but this place is fairly pricey, has a hole in the wall vibe, and can use more professional customer service skills.

We stopped off at Roti Boti in Fairfield for a bite on our way home. I’m always in the mood for Indian food, so this was an easy choice.
The menu seems to have everything that you’d be looking for in an Indian restaurant, with plenty of lamb, chicken, shrimp, and veg offerings. We started with vegetable pakoras that seemed to be a little different than «regular» pakoras at restaurants… they seemed a lot more like home made ones, so I was very pleased with them.
My son had lamb/​cauliflower curry, which was excellent… in fact, every lamb dish we saw looked excellent. It’s my feeling that they excel in that department. Mental note: next time get the lamb shank, because that looked amazing.
I had chicken korma, which was quite good, although I really don’t think they should have used chicken breast meat for it because that cut tends to dry out faster than dark meat. Oh well.
My wife had the vegetable coconut curry. Quite good and I’d love to try it at the «hot» spice level.
Add in some garlic naan and rice, and we had quite a meal. I think we got out of there for under $ 50 including tip, and we had a LOT of food.
The eating area is very clean and the service is extremely friendly. We will definitely be back… maybe even later this week!

First time here on our way back to Napa from the snow. Well, this warmed us right up, and in a good way. We had the chicken korma, the coconut-​curry vegetables, and the lamb with cauliflower. I thought the last two were very excellent — the heat was a slowly-​building warmth and I did eventually sweat under my eyes and the nape of my neck, but the heat wasn’t competing with the flavors of the dish, which I always like (I don’t like spicy-for-spicy’s-sake). Also had garlic naan and pakoras, and the pakoras were much lighter than the ones I’ve eaten in restaurants or made at home — and they were great (make sure you get some tamarind sauce from the bar to dip them in). They were very nice to us, the food was served quickly, and in spite of the drive from home I have a feeling I’ll make the trip happily, especially since Fenton’s is up that direction, too.

I stopped in @ Roti Boti a few months ago after seeing the very positive reviews peppering the Unilocal*feed on a pretty regularly basis… I needed to stop by & try it for myself. Roti Boti is a Pakistani restaurant and I’m still relatively green when it comes to «Indian cusine.» I’m always looking to try & learn new things about the many, delicious dishes of various cultures in the world… ‘And there are so many. (Some people think all «Indian food» is Indian food, all the same… Ignorant poor bastards.)
I walked into the very simple looking, no frills restaurant, the shop was empty, with the exception of a few people working in kitchen. I was met at the counter by Taraq as I looked over the menu. I’d be the first to tell you that Middle Eastern cuisine is all still relatively new to me with the expectation of a few of the standard menu items. Again, Roti Boti serves Pakistani prepared dishes. (I only know this after looking over the menu & speaking with Taraq.)
Pakistani cuisine — «What is it?»
Answer — The Mughals, the Persians & Turks have all contributed to the creation of what we is Pakistani food. The dishes & flavors has evolved through hundreds of years of dedicated fusion. Pakistani plates are a cuisine with rich depth. In addition to barbecue, it offers a multitude variety of kababs, curries, vegetables, rice dishes, and much more. Pakistani curries are subtle and aromatic yet not over-​spiced. Every region of Pakistan has its own favorites and ingredients, which makes travelling throughout the country a foodies «Adventureland.»
So, after getting a bit of direction from Taraq and schooled in Pakistani Dishes 101, I decided on the following:
Lamb nihari (Special of the Day) — Traditional breakfast/​brunch item from Pakistan, served with Naan bread. The recipe is relatively simple to put together but needs to slow cook between 5 — 10 hours. Nihari is a South Asian curry, consisting of slow-​cooked beef or lamb along with bone marrow, garnished to taste. It is one of national dishes of Pakistan
Garlic naan — Resembles a pita, and like pita bread, is usually leavened with yeast or with bread starter (leavened naan dough left over from a previous batch); unleavened dough (similar to that used for roti) is also used. This «flatbread,» isn’t exactly flat. It can be pillowy & elastic, with dark charred bubbles with a crispy bottom. Naan is traditionally cooked in a tandoor oven, from which tandoori cooking takes its name. (A tandoor oven is a clay oven that can reach up to 900 degrees F.)
Papadam appetizer ( Unilocal* check-​in offer)
Papadum is a thin, crisp disc-​shaped food typically based on a seasoned dough usually made from peeled black gram flour, fried or cooked with dry heat. Flours made from other sources such as lentils, chickpeas, rice, tapioca or potato, can be used. Papadums are typically served as an accompaniment to a meal in India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka or as an appetizer or snack, sometimes with toppings such as chopped onions, chopped carrots, chutneys or other dips & condiments. In certain parts of India, papadums which have been dried but not precooked are used in curries and vegetable dishes.
Note: All of the above information was gathered after doing a bit of «www research,» of my own.
As I was waiting for my food to arrive, swaggers in a guy, looks around the restaurant… (I’m always people watching, more so if something seems out of sorts.)
Taraq: Hello, may I help you?
Guy: So, you serve burritos here?
Taraq: No, Pakistani food.
Guy: So, you have burritos…
Taraq: No sir, we have only Pakistani food.
(Burritos? WTH?!)
At that point and w/​o saying a word, the guys walks out the shop.
I thought, «Weird.» The guy returns w/​a friend, «Guy 2,» and he also takes a quick assessment of the place… Oh, yes, @ this point I’m on «Orange Alert.» There was something off w/​these two. They placed their order & took a seat, diagonally opposite of me. The two had strong accents, not Indian, possibly South African… (WTH do I know, I’m no linguist.) As I was eating, I noticed the two staring at a couple who were using ASL, signing to each other as they enjoyed their meal. Guy 1, looked over @ me as I ate my lunch. I glanced up a few time as he continued staring. I finally stopped eating, looked directly @ him in which Guy 2 looked back at me as well. «Yeh, I see you too… WTF, you think I’m cute?» Eventually, they went back to eating but in no way was I going to have a couple of knuckleheads ruin my very delicious and amazing lunch. (Like I said it was odd.)
Apologies, I digress.
Overall, five stars. The food was great, from the garlic naan to the lamb nihari. The service that I received from Taraq & Nisa, very exceptional. Both were friendly & helpful during my first visit to Roti Boti. The interior/​setting and décor is more utilitarian, simple, basic, but functional. As I previously mention, no frills. Wow! The food here is amazing and so is the customer service! I crave this place all the time! Can’t wait to go back!

Had the butter chicken, garlic naan, rice and free papadam ( Unilocal check in).
So you order up front, grab your own utensils, plate, drink and condiments. You then sit and watch Bollywood on TV as you wait for the food.
The people are kind and the food is decent. Prices are very reasonable. However, it’s very average. The items are all freshly made, as you can see most of the kitchen at the counter. I didn’t really like the half serve, half serve yourself aspect of the restaurant.
The restaurant was busy and offers coupons for take out orders.
By the way… there was no free chai tea when I dined in. Maybe it’s only on certain days?

Good bang for your buck Indian food. The flavor and quality was slightly above average. I ordered the lamb korma extra-​extra hot. Unfortunately it was not very hot at all and was a one-​note flavor dish, it was a good flavor, just redundant.
The paneer masala was very good. Probably the second best we have had.
Next time I will try the tandoori choices. Overall a good experience since it only cost 20 bucks.

Roti Boti is an amazing Indian/​Pakistani halal restaurant and never fails to satisfy my indian food cravings. I appreciate their modest prices in addition to the [delicious] quality of food. It lives up to it’s indian name.

I’ve dined here, ordered takeout, and even catered a small event. I’ll definitely be back much more & plan to use them for more events of mine!

To judge a restaurant on their «authenticity» while everyone that works there are of the culture is a pretty far reach. Furthermore, every time I’ve ordered their curry the sauce was pretty much on point to where no canned sauce can even compete.
On to other business. The workers here have always been nice to me whenever I’ve came in to order. They’ve always been able to catch a great conversation with me while I wait for my food and in doing so, it makes me believe that they really do care about their customers. Does Wazwan Indian Cuisine do that? No Cindy T., they definitely do not.
The food here has always been great. In every visit I’ve placed an order for samosas (I’m a sucker for some good samosas) and I’ve dabbled in both the makhani chicken and chicken tikka masala but of the two I prefer the makhani chicken (butter chicken).
So in all, majority rules. TRUST ME.

What a great find, especially in Fairfield! Ordered take out via Eat24: convenient, efficient, and faster than the drive thru!

We stopped in on a Sunday afternoon after Unilocaling around. If you can believe it, we decided to come out here after a brief stop in Napa; we take affordable Indian food seriously, and Roti Boti was worth the mini road trip!
Located right off the highway in a little food corner with a Thai restaurant & El Pollo Loco, RB looks like it’s pretty new — clean new furniture, a freshly-​paved parking lot, and a conspicuous lack of the general grime that years of foot traffic can put on a place.
The service flow is still working out the kinks; this place runs like most other Indian places we’ve been to: 1. Order at the counter 2. Sit down & wait 3. Food brought to you 4. Eat 5. Go back to counter and pay. Some of the less-​Indian patrons coming in (which is everyone we saw, including us — we’re in Fairfield) were a little confused by this, but it worked out for everyone in the end.
Free chai is a huge thumbs up from me! There’s also a little chutney bar with some fresh onions — fresh lettuce and tomatoes would be killer, too. Next time I need to look for a salad on the menu.
We ordered Butter Chicken (chicken in creamy tomato sauce, $ 9), Bengun Bharta (eggplant dish, $ 8), and Palak Paneer (spinach & cheese dish, $ 8) — along with Garlic Naan ($ 2.50) and a couple sides of Basmati Rice. Medium spicy was more than enough for me! This food is *rich*; this is not the place to go for an eating competition.
One entrée per person + rice/​bread should be more than enough food. We ended up taking home leftovers, which is never a bad thing. Next time we’re passing through the area, we’ll be back!

My family and I used to drive all the way to Bismillah in San Pablo if we wanted some Indian/​Pakistani food because no other restaurant in our area compared to them, but now we can just drive down the street!
Tonight, my family and I ordered some take-​out from Roti Boti for dinner. Only took about twenty minutes for them to prepare it and everything was so delicious! We ordered the tandoori chicken leg, butter chicken, 2 orders of naan, and chicken biryani. The total was a little over $ 23 after they gave me a 15% military discount, which I thought was great considering the fact that we ordered four different dishes.
Heads up: their medium spice level is very spicy. I ordered everything mild except the biryani, but I decided to make it medium instead of spicy because my dad can’t handle the heat (lol). I expected the medium to have a little kick to it, but I must admit that it was much spicier than I expected it to be! Luckily my mom and I love spicy foods so it worked out in the end. Also, the tandoori chicken leg is literally just 1 leg for $ 4.50. It was extremely moist, tender, delicious, and well cooked though and it’s a pretty big piece but I’ve just never been to a restaurant that only sold one piece of a chicken for almost $ 5.
The decoration and ambiance in the restaurant isn’t the best, but they’re still quite new so maybe they can work on that aspect in the future once they’re a bit more settled in. In all honesty though, does all that really matter?! As long as the food is great and the restaurant is clean, I am a happy customer.
My family and I will definitely come back to Roti Boti the next time we are in the mood for some Indian/​Pakistani food. Great restaurant with great food! If you’ve never had Indian or Pakistani food, you definitely need to give Roti Boti a try.

I was very excited to try this place, and I was quite satisfied with my experience. The service was great; the front desk was very nice explaining to us how to order and where to get out plates and chutneys. The self serve fashion is typical of Indian-​Pakistani restaurants. I was really surprised with how quickly the food came, which was great since we were so hungry. For an appetizer, we got the Samosa Chaat, a pretty tasty dish, especially with the chutneys. We ordered the Chicken Makhani and Paneer Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan and Basmati Rice to go with it. The taste was good, one of the better South-​Asian places in the area.
Will visit this place again soon. The food was good, the prices reasonable, and the staff sweet.
