Description

Specialties

Mike has extensive experience in using Traditional Chinese Medicine to alleviate pain due to overuse, injury and trauma (including surgery). With the addition of being Full Body certified in Active Release Techniques, Mike has many ways to get you back on your feet.

In addition to physical aches and pains, Mike commonly sees patients that have both food and environmental allergies, sleep disorders, stress, and OB disorders, to name a few.

History

Established in 2006.

After completing an acupuncture mentorship in Japan in 2001, Mike sought out an acupuncture college in the US to further his training. While completing the 4-year Master’s of Science program at Southwest Acupuncture College in Albuquerque, NM Mike visited China to intern in the Herbal Department of one of Beijing’s largest Traditional Chinese Medical hospitals.

In 2009 Mike returned to China as the sole TCM representative in a sports medicine delegation comprised of various Doctors from around the world. The goal of this delegation was to understand how the Chinese hospitals integrate both Eastern and Western medicine to achieve optimal results.

In 2010 Mike began training to incorporate Active Release Techniques into his practice while working with Dr. Michelle Clark in Denver, CO.

Mike, with his wife and their two children, have just returned to Fairhope from Denver to continue his practice with his father, John «Doc» Stump
