Established in 1903.

Founded in 1903 by George A. Slocum, our company has grown to a full service insurance agency. The agency was purchased in 1994 by Jim Brown. When Jim passed away in 2010, his wife Christine (Cris) took over the reins of the agency and is surrounding herself with talented leaders with significant insurance experience. Darcy Dewar Lynch, VP of Personal Lines and David Eaton, VP of Commercial Lines both with over 25 years of insurance experience, joined the agency in 2013.

Christine (Cris) Nichols-​Brown is a native of Rochester and a graduate of Greece Olympia High School. She is a graduate of Wittenberg University in Springfield, OH with a degree in Psychology. She holds a MBA from Vanderbilt University. Her career in business includes time in a major corporation as well as owning her own business Christine’s Fine Chocolates with three locations. Her business experience in retail led her to met her husband Jim Brown the former owner of the agency. She also was a Realtor Associate with Nothnagle’s office in Pittsford.
