Terrific food and service. They guy that took my order took my trash for me when I was done eating 30 mins later and he remembered my name. Outstanding experience!

The food here was up to normal Penn Station standards, but I was surprised to be given a bill of $ 78 for lunch last Sat. I have 4 small kids who each ordered a 6″ sandwich, a fry, 3 Lemonades, and 4 cookies — as a treat for a goal. Also had one 12″ and on 8″ sandwich for my wife and I. As a family of 6, we are accustomed to larger bills($ 35-$ 40 at McDs and $ 45-$ 50 at ChixFilA), but this seemed crazy. As I looked at my bill: $ 2.50 for each kids lemonades, $ 1.99 for each cookie, and $ 2.50 for each fry. As we waited for our food, I compared the receipt to the menu prices(something I never do), and I accepted that we had been charged correctly, disappointed in myself for not realizing that by simply getting the kids the Kids Meal 4″ sandwiches(which was difficult to see on their board at first), I would have saved $ 5 per kid. Then they delivered the food I noticed we were given the 3″ tall kids size cups of fries. I asked if it was a mistake and was told that is their small size, for which they charge $ 2.50 — not true at other locations. To the owner’s credit, he did offer to give me more fries, but I declined. I reconciled that, charging the prices he does, he must need the money more than do — and also that I wouldn’t come back. It sucks because we all like the food, but a $ 15 ticket average seems like a lot for lunch for a family, especially with 2 didn’t get fries and 3 didn’t get drinks. His business though…

Been eating here for years… Mostly this location. Recently Had a family member pick up a 8″ Philly and fries(Which I’ve had dozens of times!)(Fresh Cut Fries are a nice touch) Not sure what happened but both of our sandwiches were literally the circumference of a golf ball with barely any ingredients! I truly hope this was a one time flub because IF this is the new norm, we will be getting our Philly elsewhere! Ofallon Penn Station Say it this isn’t so!

This 5 star review came after months of repeated disappointments at other establishments, putting this place in perspective for me. This is, perhaps my only 5 star review… And its of a chain sandwich shop? Here’s why. The perspective I speak of must be a primary consideration when rating. Apples to apples, and all that. Who says you can’t have a 5 star italian place and a 5 star fast food place, though it is unlikely? I have had steak sandwiches at many local places, and even if they are of similar freshness, they seem to lack that distinct flavor that penn station affords with its magic seasoning. They will give you some to put on your fries, by the way. The other sandwich shops always seem to employ a disappointing group of unsupervised teenagers, ignoring the dining room and its filthy tables to smoke a doobie in the fridge. Unwashed hands and a giant, ignorant, smiling face seem to make it easier to turn around and leave rather than confront the sandwich artist with his/her poor hygiene. «How about some diptheria sauce, please.» Never at Penn Station. They are all washing hands loudly and persistantly. And there is always adult supervision. The prices can be ridiculous. But are they? Im paying someone to make my sandwich who is not only doing it better than anyone nearby, but Im paying the owner to supervise his employees. And yes, Im paying for the great big«hello» we love to hate when you walk in the place. Im done with disappointment, and I’m marrying penn station. For all my hangovers, at least.

Their club is really good, and their other ingredients also, but the beef in the Philly is crap. Staff is very friendly!

The food is great and the staff is very friendly. I like the Philly with mushrooms, onions, and mayo and an order of fresh-cut fries.

I stopped in sometimes on my way home from STL. The subs are hot. The meat is real and not processed and I’ve always found them to be friendly and polite. Usually they are joking with each other and the customers as if they actually like their jobs. Wow. Isn’t that cool. Lol. Anyway. The fries are fresh cut and fried in peanut oil and the Lemonade is fresh squeezed sweetened with regular sugar. There are only few fast food type places where I can eat since I avoid HFC and most processed meats because of the extensive filler. This place is perfect. No real frills just real food. I’ll be back!

Came here for cheesesteak… this is only my second time here. It tastes a little over seasoned this time but it’s okay. Not much choice in getting a cheesesteak around here. Nonetheless… the service is always excellent here. Very friendly staff and the place is really clean.

Another good place for tasteful sandwich. If you haven’t already tried their lemonade do try it. Those are out of fresh squeezed lemons with no preservatives etc. My all time favorite is chicken chilly.

I love grinders! Penn station makes an outstanding grinder. You can get from about 4 inches all the way up to a foot long. They start with a bread they fresh bake right in the oven that they use to toast your subs. I wish they sold just the bread. Another amazing thing about Penn Station is that even though they toast the bun, it is not all dried out like Subways, or Quiznos. They griddle the meat in your sandwiches. Some of my favorites are the Teriyaki, the Italian, and the Rueben. Also the Philly is little off. It is legit in terms of quality of ingredients. The cheese sauce is way off. In Philly the sandwiches taste more like cheese whiz with either jalapeño juice or maybe mustard mixed in it. At Penn Station they only put provolone on the sandwich. IT is still very good, just different. The lemonade is fresh made and it is delicious. They will refill it as well. Finally do not forget the fries. They are made from potatoes right there on the premises. Whoever thought to put malt vinegar on fries should win the Nobel Peace Prize.

First Philly cheese steak was excellent. Second one a few days later was good. Fries are tasty. Little expensive, but would pay for it every once in a while. Finally got online to finish this review. I moved to Texas a couple months ago… never realized how much I would miss this place. I recommend double meat. That is the only thing.

Needed a quick fix for dinner after a long day and stopped in for a sub to go. Ordered up a big Italian and enjoyed a relaxing evening with a full belly. It was a good hot sub, but the best part I felt was the bread. I can’t accentuate how much I enjoyed the bread; I could have dumped everything off and just ate it plain. That along with a very prompt and professional staff makes it a place to return to.

I just realized that I haven’t reviewed this place. We used to live near this location and I do like their food. I loathe however their service. I would probably give it a 1 if I didn’t know that they 1) have a military discount(which I think everyone should have) and 2) their food is really good. This last time the girl yelled my name back at me 3 times and she was super young. I don’t know if she was just treating me dumb or if she was just ignorant. They really do have good subs though. Maybe if they work on their customer service I’ll come back.
