Beauty Bar

The Beauty Bar came to the hotel and did the hair and makeup for my daughter’s wedding. There were 12 bridesmaids and the bride and they did a wonderful job. Ashleigh did an amazing job with the bride and Leah and the others did equally well on the bridesmaids. It was a magical day and they made all the girls feel so happy.
Thanks to all of them for doing such a great job!

I’ve been coming to Ashleigh Long for 8 years. She’s knows my hair! She’s my stylist for life :-). The atmosphere at the beauty bar is always awesome, the ladies who work here are professional, up beat, and very friendly. I’ve been to other salons and felt out of place, I’ve never felt that way here– it’s much more relaxed. Highly recommend!

This review is for bridal hair & makeup. Leah is my regular hair stylist, so I will review her for haircuts/​color on a different post
Leah (my personal hair stylist) and Tasha (the owner) took care of me and my family on my wedding day. I had a last minute addition to include my grandfather for hair and makeup, and Leah was super flexible and said it would be no problem. Both Tasha and Leah were kind, chatted with the girls as they did their hair, and looked to me for confirmation to make sure all hair had my approval.
Leah did my hair and makeup trail (which I highly recommend for every bride to do — if you want to look perfect, you’d better practice first!) Leah is an honest and experienced stylist. My first hair trial didn’t go exactly as I wanted, so she saw me again on a day that worked for me, she listened to my feedback and I had GREAT second hair trial. I appreciated her honesty — some stylists will try to bullshit you into thinking your hair is good when it really isn’t — Leah is NOT that stylist. She listens to you and wants you to be happy and pleased.
Because my hair and makeup trials went so well, I was relaxed and comfortable as Leah worked on me on my wedding day. Her energy and kindness were just what I needed to calm my nerves. Tasha also did hair and airbrush makeup for my mother in law and mother, as well as for a flower girl and a few bridesmaids.
They asked good questions when doing my bridesmaids’ hair — like «how well does your hair hold curl?» so they could make sure their hair stayed in place as long a possible.
The airbrush makeup looked amazing! It didn’t look heavy or caked on — it complimented their skin and eyes perfectly. I am so happy they looked so good.
My sister has been in more weddings than she can count, and she said that her hair by Tasha was the best bridesmaid hair she has ever had!
If you are looking for a place to have your hair and makeup done for your wedding, this is the place to go. Make sure you schedule a trial first so you can build a relationship with your artist so she knows exactly what you want for your special day.

I wish I could give Tasha a better review because she was a sweet person, however, I had the worst hair and makeup trial with her. My airbrush makeup didn’t match so there was a distinct difference between my face and neck. The eye makeup was a disaster. I didn’t realize natural meant shimmer and the fake eyelashes looked terrible. You could see the glue on my eyelids. She also did my hair which should have been my first clue. Surely no one is amazing at both hair and makeup. I showed her a picture of what I wanted for my hair. She mostly got it right until the end where I actually had to advise her on what to do and even then I looked like a grandma with poofy hair that frizzed around my face. What killed me was that she takes out her note pad and notes what she needs to improve on for the day of. So I’m supposed to trust that she will get it right on the day?! I drove two hours and wasted $ 200 just to find out I will not be using her for my wedding. I can’t explain how disappointed I am and upset that I paid so much for nothing.

Ashleigh is my go to gal. She is always changing my hair to unique and cool hairstyles from, layers, to a nice fresh bob, and even to a shaved ¾ of a head! She makes it look good! She also tells me what would be perfect for my face shape. She did my hair for prom and made it looks fabulous also did my make up and rocked it. She makes me look so good, without her my hair would be out of control. After a style she shows me how to work it so that I can do it by myself and still make it look as though I just left from her chair. Seriously if you want a fun, loving and caring stylist go to Ashleigh. She’ll make you transform and look amazing highlighting your natural beauty, and she doesn’t just do it for a job but loves it and wants you to be happy. Go to her, you won’t be disappointed.

Overall an okay experience. I booked beauty bar to do my hair and makeup for my trash the wedding dress photo shoot in Fallbrook. Leah did my hair and makeup, but did not for my wedding. Overall she was very sweet and did a decent job.
The price though for the service is pretty expensive, especially for Fallbrook. I wished I would have opted to have the same two people in San Diego who did an amazing job on my hair and makeup for the wedding since I would have spent close to the same price but chose to take the risk for the convenience.

Tasha did the hair and makeup for me and my bridesmaids (along with an assistant) for my wedding on January 24^th. Everything turned out perfectly! I rarely wear make-​up and never do my hair, but knew that I needed it done for my wedding pictures. Tasha did a great job of listening (patiently!) to me about my likes and dislikes. She did an awesome job at making may make-​up and hair look natural but beautiful. Tasha is great!

While this location is a bit off the beaten path, the service is great! Location for me was a drawback but Fallbrook locals will enjoy a high end experience close to home.
I bought the LivingSocial keratin treatment and was not disappointed! Flexible scheduling, clean environment, and friendly staff make the Beauty Bar a great local spot for your hair care needs.

My new thing is getting my hair done for special occasions and I’m obsessed with long eyelashes.
A friend was getting married in Fallbrook and I started researching salons the minute I found out the date.
Then, as soon as I got the invitation I called to make my appointment for a special style and an eyelash application. I know, I know, they sell DIY at Target buy my damn hand is too shaky to do it myself. The receptionist (?) took my info and checked to see when they could get me in and called me right back with the time.
I arrived for my 3:30 appointment with Leah and she was just finishing up. She got me seated about 10 minutes later, but I buffer my time and my husband had to run a couple places, so it was no big deal.
She did a great job on the blow dry, style and application. I kind of let her pick what she thought was look best and she was right. I loved the curls and they even stood up to the heat of the evening. In fact, the style lasted until the next day.
I was very happy with Beauty Bar and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great style at a reasonable price.
Leah and the whole staff were very kind and made this Minnesotan feel very welcome!

I love the beauty bar! Went in for the first time for a trim with Leah and she’s awesome :-) she was super sweet and did a great job on my hair. I’m definitely looking forward to my next hair appointment.

I am SO happy that I went to Tasha for my wedding makeup! To be honest, makeup totally scares me, and I had a really bad experience with another trial run for my wedding. Just by talking to Tasha over the phone, I could tell she knew exactly what I wanted! She was very conscious of keeping my look natural and making sure I felt comfortable. Tasha is so sweet and very easy to work with! My mom and I could not have been happier with our airbrush makeup! It looked amazing and was so light! Thanks to her, my wedding pictures turned out beautiful! Tasha went above and beyond her job as a makeup artist! She clearly cares about providing the best experience possible because she highly suggested that I come to the salon the day of my wedding, instead of having to pay extra for her to come to the venue. It was so nice to work with someone that really cared about my budget! I hope that I can find an excuse to work with Tasha again in the future!

Simone is fantastic! I finally found my new stylist after looking for a year!!! She was so patient with my little girl and she’s absolutely a delight to be around! So happy I found y’alls salon.

I can’t say enough about the talent and wonderful ownership of this salon. 100% dedication in offering the best customer service and professionalism. Being that I no longer live close enough to come in personally, beauty bar is the #1 salon that I recommend and refer to anyone looking for great service in the Fallbrook area. Tasha and her team at Beauty Bar are such talented artists, nice and great to work with! I got married last year and had Beauty Bar do my hair and makeup as well as the bridesmaids and my mother. Tasha and I had met to go over my look and the day of she made me feel like a Victoria Secret model! I felt so good and had such a great experience working with her. My bridesmaids were fabulous and everyone LOVED their hair and makeup. I hadn’t even really given any direction to Tasha and her assistant about the bridesmaids — we talked the morning of and I let them do their thing, and the girls hair was awesome. All of my friends who are getting married now always reference my hair and makeup and my bridesmaids and I can’t give Tasha and the Beauty Bar team enough credit for providing such great high end service. They all know the latest trends and techniques and know exactly how to apply them to every age — my mom came out looking gorgeous and happy too! Thanks Beauty Bar!

Let me start out by saying that Beauty Bar is amazing! Tasha and her team of stylists are not only beauties inside and out, but extremely professional and talented women. Tasha and her team did my hair as well as all of my bridesmaids hair for my wedding and we came out of there looking flawless! Not only did the ladies do an incredible job, they made the entire experience even more enjoyable and memorable. I wouldn’t have wanted those nerve-​wracking hours leading up to my wedding to have been spent anywhere else!
I have been going to the Beauty Bar for over 2 years now and wouldn’t even consider switching salons, I even make the commute from San Marcos every 8 weeks for Simone to touch-​up my color… clearly it’s worth it! :) My cuts and colors are always spot on, and never any damage to my hair… In fact, my hair has never been healthier! In addition to the outstanding work done by the Beauty Bar team, the overall environment in the salon is SO comfortable. Friendly faces, positive attitudes — you couldn’t ask for a better place to kick up your heels and relax!

I have got to say the Beauty Bar and her staff are the most professional and most attentive ladies I have ever trusted with doing anything with my hair. I have been going to Tasha for almost three years now. I started to go to her back in 2009 when my daughters needed someone to do their hair for their winter formal dance at Potter. My daughters just like me don’t trust just anyone with their hair but Tashas awesome attitude sealed the deal. My daughters came out of her hands looking undeniably gorgeous and ready for the dance. When my daughter decided to run for Miss Teen Fallbrook Tasha was her go to girl. She even had Tasha come in and talk to all the girls about how to do hair and makeup. How to do their makeup for when they were on stage and also in everyday school life and my daughters have retained that information since than and use it on a daily basis.
With the awesome way that she was able to handle my daughters I decided heck Ill let her get her hands on my hair which I never and I’ll repeat never let anyone ever touch my hair. I have always done it myself and needless to say ruined it most of the time. Not only would I try and trim my hair but with all the chemicals I would put in it and dye that I would damage it with it was in pretty bad shape. When Tasha got it she didn’t know what to do with it. Three years later Tasha continues to baby my hair and I love sitting in that chair for hours and we laugh about probably nothing. She has got to be one of my really good friends now. I mean if you don’t make friends with your hair dresser than your in big trouble :).
To this day my entire family uses Tasha and the Beauty Bar. As we pass out of town my sons ask if they can go in and make an appt to get their hair cut because the Beauty Bar is the only place that knows how to cut their hair. I think the only reason they go in there is to look at the pretty girls. I know my 8 year old has his eye on Simone lol. But with that being said I have found not only the best hair dressers in town but also some of the greatest friends that I know I can leave anyone of my kids with them for a few hours to get their hair done and I know coming out they will always always have a smile on their faces.

Tasha is amazing. She did my wedding make up and hair and I looked incredible! I can honestly say that I have never looked better. I have had my make up professionally done (for a lot more money) in the past and looked really over made up and not like me. This time I felt completely comfortable and as if I had nothing on my face.
I could write a book on how cool my hair turned out. Let’s just say, I brought in pictures and had a vague idea and Tasha styled my hair exactly right from a very poor description of what I wanted. I was an hour late for my consultation (which I don’t recommend) still, she worked fast and I got to see exactly what I was going to look like day of. I was thrilled with what she did in 45 minutes and day of it was even better and refined and perfect.
What’s more, she was like a fun girlfriend who had everything together in those nerve wracking hours before I said I do. She came to my location, did hair and make up for about 5 of 6 women and even squeezed in the flower girls. Everyone looked incredible.

Tasha has been my hair and make up artist for over 5 years and is truly amazing! She did my wedding and baby shower. She is the owner of this hot spot of a salon. Tasha has not only become a very special friend over the years but is so professional in the work she does. I can’t say enough about her and her very relaxing salon. I highly recommend her and her staff you will not ever go anywhere else!
