Elegance On Display

Elegance On Display was one of two cake vendors our wedding package offered. I didn’t schedule a consultation with the other baker because as soon as I saw Jennifer’s work on social media I immediately fell in love with her style!
We’re from Orange County so Jennifer’s bakery was quite far for us but it’s not like we would visit her all the time, and besides our venue was in Temecula. We had one consultation and all other communication was through emails and phone calls – which was a piece of cake – no pun intended! =)
When it came to our consultation, our initial design wasn’t what we ended up having the day of our wedding. H’mmm that sounds a bit negative so let me rephrase it. =) After our consultation I had some uncertainties regarding my cake design. Two months prior to our wedding I was able to contact Jennifer and ask her if I could make changes. Albeit, I was so nervous and scared to ask her but she was so sweet and totally understood. She welcomed all my ideas and even provided some suggestions when I needed it. She even called me to confirm if every single detail matched to a ‘T’.
I didn’t have a sketch/​visual draft of how our cake would look the day of our wedding but it didn’t bother me since I did send her pictures of what I wanted. Some brides probably might stress to the 100^th level because of this uncertain dilemma but I trusted Jennifer and her team.
The end result – I absolutely, positively LOVED my cake! We had a 4-​tier cake with alternating flavors of lemon supreme with raspberry filling and white bavarian with strawberry filling. I wanted beading and buttercream rosettes and she gave it to me! I wanted simplicity yet romantic and she delivered! The lemon supreme flavor was a hit with the guests and our personal favorite out of the two that we picked. By the end of the night, our coordinator gave us our «one year anniversary cake» in a cute plastic container and I got so excited – I can’t wait to eat this next year!
I can’t thank Jennifer and her team enough for creating such a beautiful wedding cake. The flavors were as delicious as the first time we sampled them and my family even brought the remaining bottom tier home to eat =) They did an amazing job!

SO yummy!!! They did our wedding cake and it turned out beautiful and delicious. Guest are still coming up to be about how good the cake was. Jennifer was easy to work with and extremely flexible. I thought I knew what I wanted at the tasting and a couple months later I changed the design on her completely and she was so nice and professional with the switch.

We worked with Jennifer and she was amazing. Everything was smooth from the cake tasting to the delivery on our wedding day. We had a very unique cake and it was a big hit at the wedding. The cake was delicious but the artwork was the best part. We are so happy we with elegance on display and their prices were the most reasonable for a 4 tier cake. Thanks so much!

I’ve been meaning to write this review since my wedding a few years ago. I chose this bakery because it was really reasonably priced and the woman who made the cake was so very kind and seemed very flexible, wanting to get every detail right in what I asked. Of everyone I dealt with for my wedding; florist, seamstress, photographer, etc, no one was as accommodating as she was. But you never know how it will turn out until the day it arrives. I was amazed that it was exactly what I asked and even more beautiful than I imagined! When I first came to her, I asked if the cake could resemble Wedgwood china but be the shade of my wedding color, with the pearlized sheen, and that one of the layers match the lace of my dress! A tall order, but she hit everything perfectly! She asked for a bunch of pictures to get it just right. Not only that, but it tasted divine. And not only that, but the individual cake we received to be frozen for the one year anniversary tradition, was actually really good as well even a year later!

We were referred to Elegance on Display through our wedding venue, Villa De Amore, and we have nothing but positive things to say about the experience.
The owner Jennifer is fun, a little quirky and great to work with. At our tasting she showed us so many different styles and even let our parents taste cakes too, even though she should have charged us extra. She was very professional and was not rude at all.
Our cake turned out exactly how we pictured! Even though we didn’t get a chance to taste it ourselves, we got nothing but great feedback from guests and how awesome it tasted. Lots of flavor and super moist. We went with vanilla/​strawberry fill and chocolate/​cookies n cream fill.
I give the cake and the service 5 stars!

Wow! Perfect, perfect, perfect cake. It was absolutely amazing. Thank you Jennifer, as soon as I have a photo I will post it. You were so helpful and Shahz and I couldn’t have been happier. We first went to Bocakes which was a disaster. If you have a choice go here, she is wonderful.

Jennifer’s services were included in our package at Wedgewood Fallbrook. Jennifer is amazing! She is professional and very easy going. Most importantly she created the most beautiful and delicious cake for our wedding! We told her what we wanted and we got that and more!
The process of picking our wedding cake was so much fun! She showed us a slideshow of her work to help us decide on a look for our wedding cake. We were able to try all of the top cake flavors to help make our decision.

Jennifer is awesome! She did our cake for our wedding and it was a joy to work with her. She’s very professional and takes great care of you. I thought I knew exactly what I wanted before I walked in the door. I had looked at her pictures on her website and the cakes looked beautiful. I assumed many of them were fondant which I didn’t want. Come to find out, most were buttercream! I couldn’t believe it. It opened up my possibilities of what I could have for my wedding cake. At this point I really didn’t know what I wanted but she was wonderful. She explained we could do different flavors for different layers, different designs on the different layers, etc. She has a great eye and makes wonderful suggestions. When we saw our cake on our wedding day it completely blew us away. It was stunning. Not only was it beautiful but it tasted amazing too! We had our site put a piece of each of the flavors into containers we brought with since we knew we wouldn’t have time to eat it at our wedding after we cut the cake. We were able to eat it on our honeymoon and it was great! I highly recommend her if you are looking for a delicious and beautiful cake for your wedding or other special occasions!

I ordered a wedding cake from elegance on display. Jennifer was very professional and easy to talk to. I was very unsure on what I wanted and she had a lot of examples and walked me through the process of choosing our wedding cake. I was very happy with her work she didn’t amazing job and if I ever needed the cake I definitely would go back to her.

Jennifer at Elegance on Display is very professional and easy to work with. When I went in for a consultation, I was torn between the types of flavors and the design I wanted for my wedding cake. So, she suggested that I get three different flavors and three different designs. And it turned out looking awesome! She really took note of my wants and incorporated them into the cake. I absolutely loved how it turned out.
The only complaint I got regarding my cake was that it was a bit dense. But you can’t please everyone, I guess.

We had a great experience with Jennifer. She sat us down and we were able to look through a slideshow of cakes in our price range and ultimately choose what we wanted. Our cake turned out exactly as we had envisioned. The colors were perfectly on point and we didn’t have to pay anything over what our venue provided. Jennifer is a talented artist and I recommend anyone needing a cake to her. :)

Elegance on Display was the vendor included in my package with Wedgewood Fallbrook and I will say Jennifer far exceeded our expectations. We set up a cake tasting appointment and tasted several flavors. All of them were so good so we chose three different cake flavors and fillings for each tier. Jennifer’s cakes were so beautiful that it was hard not to want the best, so we paid a little more and upgraded to a larger cake. The cost was reasonable and I was glad that I upgraded because the cake looked simply amazing at the wedding. Although, I was only able to taste a small piece of the cake at the wedding, my guests raved how delicious it was. The best part of Jennifer’s service is the take home cake for the anniversary! I highly recommend Elegance on Display!!!

We met with Laura for my wedding tasting. She was super hospitable, friendly, and helpful. She gave us suggestions as to what would work for my cake and what would not. She had great design ideas and I am so happy with my meeting. So far she is by far the best vendor I have worked with for my wedding. The tasting was amazing and all the cakes tasted great. I am very excited she will be a part of my wedding!

Jennifer’s services were included in our package at Wedgewood Fallbrook. I was a little apprehensive at first, but I was ultimately thrilled with the cake.
We upgraded our cake to include about 30 extra servings and added floral. The design was beautiful, simple, and elegant. Our guests loved it, and it tasted great.

Working with Jennifer, the owner, was a total nightmare. Like many other Unilocalers are saying she is rude, unprofessional, and clearly lacks business ethics.
Elegance on Display was the vendor for cakes for our venue. We added a cake to our package so we had no choice, but to go with Elegance on Display.
From the beginning it was brutal. It was difficult to get an appointment. When we finally did the woman, not Jennifer, who helped us was friendly and a joy to work with. We told her our count was about 100. That put us at a 3 tiered cake. We agreed that we wanted to add another tier, making it 4 tiers, an additional $ 28 (4 inch top tier)
After our initial consultation I emailed Jennifer letting her know we definitely wanted the cake to be 4 tiers and also wondering about a grooms cake. Her responses took a long time and when they did finally happen were very short answers. Her emails were lacking any professionalism at all. I had many normal questions about the groom’s cake like how big was it going to be, price, etc. All the responses seemed as if I was annoying her. So, I refused to give her the business and went elsewhere.
As it came time to give our final count, it had gone down to 83. Jennifer called me one morning at 9am and without any real introduction asking what our final count was as our venue was only going to pay for that. I knew this and wouldn’t expect them to do anything more for us. However, we had already told her we would pay for anything extra. Suddenly her price raised from $ 3.50 to $ 4.00 a slice and we were going to owe some outrageous amount– $ 80 additional dollars. When I challenged her on the phone she began to get upset and was all over the place. I called her back later that day to ask her some questions after I realized she was over charging us. It basically went as well as the first conversation and after I called her out on it she asked why I hadn’t let her know I was given a different per slice price prior. She must have not listened to anything in our prior conversation because I mentioned it a good 5 times.
I decided to write her an email detailing everything and telling her because our wedding was just days away we had no choice, but to go with her and pay her extra fee. She responded, knocked off $ 10, and neglected to really comment on anything that she was in the wrong for.
The day came and I saw the cake. The flavors were all good. Cake looked nice. My only complaint was that I wanted fresh flowers on top of the cake. I don’t know if this was Jennifer’s fault or the florist. I was very specific with Jennifer so considering the previous issues we had she could have taken the initiative to make sure it was done and of course if it was her job she should have done it anyways. It was never done…

Our experience with Jennifer was… a piece of cake! She worked with us for some really neat flavor combos and had a beautiful cake for our wedding! Thanks :)

So happy my wedding cake was made here! Jennifer was very sweet and took her time listening to our vision of our cake. I couldn’t find a cake stand so instead Jennifer offered to make a gold aluminum foil one instead! Turned out great I would definitely recommend her for any occasion.

Jennifer outdid herself for my daughter’s wedding last week. I had seen and tasted her cakes and desserts before, so when I was looking for a wedding cake, I knew who to call.
From customer service to the design and tastings, to the delivery, she took care of all the details, large and small.
Not only were the cakes and other goodies delicious, they were absolutely beautiful… Her gluten-​free chocolate cake is so yummy, you wouldn’t think it is gluten-​free. Everyone was impressed not only by the display, but also the taste. Thank you Jennifer!

We had our cake created by Jennifer for our wedding at Grand Tradition in Fallbrook. It was the best cake decision we could’ve made. We’d been to one cake tasting prior to meeting with Jen, and it was ok, but nothing spectacular, and it was just cake… no frosting, which is important in my opinion. The moment we met with Jen, she had us.
Jen sat us on the couch in her tasting room and went through a slideshow of cakes she’s done so we could get some ideas. Then we sat at a small table where she provided us with water and cake. She didn’t just provide us with small little bites of cake — she brought out half a cupcake for each of us, for each flavor — including filling and frosting. Every bite I took was wonderful — light & airy & moist. The frosting wasn’t greasy and the fillings had great flavor.
We made the decision right then and there to book with her, so she drew a photo of what we asked for, and wrote out pricing for us. We asked for 3 tiers, ivory color, and buttercream frosting with ivory piping and ivory draping. We would provide red roses and brown ribbon for the accents. We got exactly what we asked for.
Our cake flavors were different for each layer — white cake with lemon filling, white cake with raspberry filling & bavarian cream, and finally spice cake with pumpkin mousse filling (our wedding was in November, so it was fitting). Each layer was just as delicious as the next, so it was hard to choose!
My favorite part was that not only did Jen know her stuff and wanted everthing to be perfect for us, but when I told her my mom was sad she couldn’t come to the tasting, Jen packaged up some cake tastes for me to take to her! Way to go Jen! That right there told me we’d made the right decision, and we got so many compliments on the cake at the wedding. Definitely recommend Jen and Elegance on Display!
