History
Established in 1980.
The grounds were originally established as a farm homestead in 1898. The original 1898 Barn still stands on the property. The property was established as an Nursery in 1980 by the Sherman family. The Sherman family are descendants of General William Tecumseh Sherman known most for his fight for freedom in the American Civil War. The property has most recently been renovated into a Botanical Garden complete with a Wild Bird Sanctuary, Butterfly and Hummingbird Gardens and Farm House Gift Shop. Organic Café Bloom serves fresh farm to table sandwiches, soups and salads on the deck overlooking the property everyday of the week from 11am-4pm.The property host monthly festivals, fairs, workshops and seminars and has live music every Saturday on the Garden Terrace. The upper tented pavilion is available for private meetings for groups and organizations. Open 7 days a week. Free Parking and Admission with easy bus and RV turn around.

The Fallbrook Sherman House was crafted based on an original architectural drawing of a 1840s Atlanta Georgia Plantation House. The Sherman family are the current owners of Myrtle Creek Gardens and are descendants of General William Tecumseh Sherman family, General Sherman was nicknamed «Uncle Billy» by his Union Army troops and is famous for his fight for the right of «freedom for all» in the American Civil War of the 1860s. The Plantation House features three red clay brick wood-burning fireplaces, lath and plaster construction, redwood ship-lap siding and a charming southern-style porch that wraps around the first story, encouraging guests to gather there.
