ABA was amazing! After calling in to get our dryer fixed they were able to come out the same day and managed to also fix our laundry room light as well! Very professional, honest, and quick.

Prompt service. Techs were friendly and fully explained the issue we were having with our dryer. Also found another issue and fixed it quickly and professionally. Price was reasonable. Would use again without reservation.

I used this company again today for my washing machine that wasn’t working properly. The technician definitely is knowledgable because he figured out the problem in 5 minutes and he checked over my washing machine to make sure everything else was fine. Great company I do highly recommend them.

Awesome, awesome service. I hve been using them for over a 3 years and I have never had a complaint. My water heater suddenly started leaking and basement was saturated. Called ABA at 1900 and they were able to assist in a timely manner. I can always rely on them. Great service, quite knowledgable, and they service with a smile. You guys rock!!!

I scheduled a service call 2 weeks ago for a refrigerator at a rental property that I own. Today, my tenant texted to say that the technician never showed. Minutes later, the ABA office called to say that they had tried to call me, but because they couldn’t reach me, they weren’t coming out today. There were no voicemails on my phone and no missed calls. After reading other reviews, I can see that these guys are a scam. I told them I would find someone else.

My AC unit in my bedroom in my apartment refused to work. Luckily it hasn’t been too hot out, but we all know that won’t last in NOVA for long this summer. I called ABA after reading a few reviews of different HVAC companies in the area.
I used this company because I thought based upon the reviews that they would be efficient and helpful. And I can tell you quite confidently that this company is absolutely and unequivocally terrible and you should look elsewhere.
Oddly enough the original servicing was quick and efficient. They came the same day I called to diagnose what was wrong with the unit. After only about 15 minutes they deduced that the motor was not good and that they would need a new motor. Ok, no problem.
The estimate the next day was for a new motor was $ 744. They wanted a $ 300 deposit before even scheduling an installation. I had my landlord contact them to arrange the deposit. They told me that I would be able to expect that part in Monday and that they could do the installation that same day between 1pm and 4pm. Ok, still sounds reasonable enough. Monday comes, I get a call during the day at work saying the part was ordered late and didn’t come in for Monday, but that it would be there by Tuesday and they could then install Tuesday between 1pm and 4pm.
This continued again and again on Wednesday and then again Thursday. What really got me was that I called twice on Thursday at 9:56am and then again at 3:30pm to verify that the part was received and that the installation would be taking place. On both occasions I was told, yes we would receive the part and yes the installation was on for today.
I then get a text at from some random number at 3:55pm from I’m guessing a rep from the company saying basically they didn’t receive the motor and that they didn’t know where it was because they didn’t have the tracking information for the part. Are you kidding me?! It’s 2014. Getting a tracking number is not some mystic science that only a few in the nobility possess. This company out and out lied to me not once but twice on the phone, in the same day. While you can’t control the mail, you can control your customer service departments apparent ability to fabricate information out of thin $#%^$%& air.
Under no circumstances should you consider using this company. They are deplorable and have no idea how to use their head. Someone should tell them it’s that lump three feet above their ass.

I have used this company numerous times and always find them to be responsive, polite and efficient. They were able to fix our appliances at reasonable costs, even on the week-​end. By all means use them. My experiences have all been very positive.

This is a scam operation. Called for a minor dishwasher repair, paid $ 69.95 to be told that they would call me with the repair cost. When they called back, they told me I needed to get a plumber to change my valve and dishwasher line before they would come back to fix a pulley in the door and for that they would then charge me $ 232.00.
I called Jerry’s repair service and Tim came the next day with the part and fixed it for $ 130, no plumbing repairs needed. $ 70 lesson!!! I should have checked Unilocal first! Do not recommend at all.

Service in MD. The issue I had was with a refrigerator not cooling. Over the phone they explained that there was. $ 79 fee for them to come look at my unit but that it would be credited towards the repair if I did the work with them. They showed up on time for the appointment, and within 10 min diagnosed the problem. So far so good. Then they quoted us for the work as a $ 275 job. We asked him what part was being replaced and how much it costs. He explained it was the compressor starter but that ABA did not give out part costs or price breakdowns. He explained that they charged a fix fee to fix a refrigerator that doesn’t cool. I demanded to know how much I was paying for the part and he refuse to tell me. I told him that we couldn’t do the work then. I paid him $ 79 and he left me an estimate without the description of the work or the cost. So long story short, he charged a lot and wouldn’t tell us what for.
On the bright side. I found the part on the Internet for $ 45. Took me 10 minutes to install (I’ve never done it before. It was that simple!). The refrigerator works now. So at least he was right about the problem which is why ABA gets 2 stars instead of 0.

There are very dishonest and will not complete the job. Quoted me a price of $ 180 to fix my stove and all they did was tell me to go to Home Depot to buy a part. That is what I paid them for. They argued with me after taking me 3 calls to get someone to call me back. I had to get my credit card company involved to get the payment stopped. This is an update on my previous review. I called back and talked to the supervisor, and he agreed to refund me $ 70 of the $ 165 I paid, which I thought was fair. He explained to me the technicalities of why they needed to fix one thing (for $ 165) before finding that part #2 was broken, and was very courteous on the phone. Basically, after dealing with several «inherited» appliances that have all broken in our house, I’ve learned that if an older appliance breaks it’s cheaper, quicker, and easier on your sanity just to replace it.

Absolutely the worst service we’ve ever experienced. Technician was friendly but didn’t fix the problem which was ok. He could find a problem with the furnace and told me it was probably the thermostat so I went out bought a new one and that didn’t fix the problem. After paying this company $ 140 and another $ 80 for a new thermostat I was back to square one. Called the company and their response was «we’re going to charge you again for the service fee because it was working when we left which was totally false. The company said they would get back to us, they didn’t so called them back several times to see if they could come back out and no response. 48 degrees inside and still waiting. I think I will write this off as a lose. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYBODY!

Had another HVAC company come out and diagnosed the problem in 30 mins as a pressure switch failure which he said should have been obvious. Don’t waste your money on this company.

The thought of dealing with any service on any appliance was cringe worthy. but Any Brand Appliance was amazing-​the appointment was made for the same day– in fact, f90 minutes after I called, the technician was here. I was told the technician would call twenty minutes ahead– he did and was right on time– polite and knowledgeable. The technician, Bechir, had brought some replacement parts with him– and within TWO HOURS of my phone call to set up the appointment, my Summit oven was fixed.

This place was great. We noticed our fridge was broken at 9a, and the guy was out here to fix it by 11:15. They charge $ 69 for a service fee, but if you actually use them to fix the problem they waive that cost. Our mother board was burned out, and total for labor and materials it was $ 419…Obviously that’s a lot of money, but I still think it was a good deal given how quickly they fixed it. I do recommend this place, and I also think any place in NOVA that charges less than $ 1,000 is probably a good deal ;)

Don’t let these recent reviews fool you, this company is terrible. I relied on these positive reviews to contact ABA and was sorely disappointed. I contacted ABA for dryer repair and my experience was unpleasant and completely useless. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.
Service:
The service technician came out the same day for a service call. This was great but once he got to the house he wasn’t able to do anything. He told us that he couldn’t move the dryer because our units were stackable and he needed two people to move the units. He mentioned that we should have told the office that the units were stackable (which we did). Without actually looking at the dryer he assumed that the issue was related to our heating unit. He then left with a promise that the office would get back to us and the repair would be done in a few days. We had to repeatedly call the office before we got a response from them.
Pricing:
The company was inaccurate and inconsistent in their price quotes from start to finish. We were told on the phone that the company’s service fee was $ 69 but when the technician got to the house he charged us $ 79. Additionally, the technician quoted us $ 375 for the repair but said that his office would call with the final numbers. When the office finally gave us a call TWO DAYS later the quote was now $ 527. When I asked for a breakdown of the costs, the office said they would get back to me… I’m still waiting for the call.
Alternatives:
In summary there are much better appliance repair companies out there. I have gotten three price quotes from three separate companies and they were all less than the original $ 375 quoted by the technician. They were all able to breakdown repair costs unlike ABA. The company i eventually chose to use easily moved the washer/​dryer stack (with one person) and fixed the problem within two hours. I subsequently got a membership in Angieslist and the reviews for ABA were terrible. There are also several complaints on BBB. It’s not worth the risk to do business with this company.

ABA was very responsive to my call the first time I called. Their technician showed up as scheduled and fixed my dishwasher on site on the first visit. I had another company before ABA who tried to charge me for parts, took a $ 200 deposit, and then never returned to fix the dishwasher. I am happy ABA solved the problem without having to replace parts and the entire cost was below $ 100. Will use again.

Quick response – same day service. They looked at our our dryer and determined it was a clogged vent pipe. Since there wasn’t a repair on the dryer they used the service call to give an evaluation on our dryer (since it’s quite old) and said it was in great shape. I’ll call again when a need arises.

I have nothing but positive things to say about Any Brand. Everyone from the receptionist to the technicians were very nice. I called Any Brand to fix my dish washer. They were able to come out the same day to give me an estimate and fix the problem. I was impressed by their quick service because I’ve know other repair companies to take days if not weeks to «fit me in their schedule». Their prices were reasonable and I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for their services.

I was hesitant about calling this place after seeing the one review, but I realize how these things work, and I know that it’s more likely that someone is more likely to come to give a bad experience then spend the time if everything was good.
I am just one person, but I had a very good experience with Any Brand. The receptionist that answered when I called on a Saturday afternoon was friendly and quick, the service technician showed up in just a few hours and was helpful, fast and knew what needed to be done right away.
He had the parts with him and he assured us that if the fix he thought it was wasn’t correct, he would just take it out and we would only pay for the service charge. Totally reasonable and fair.
I would certainly use them again, and it beat buying a new fridge that weekend!
