I did not feel well after eating the phở though the food was tasty. Probably the food is not clean. Better ask them to steam or boil all veggie.

Very fast service for lunch– I had the spring rolls, phở, and Vietnamese coffee, and all were good. They are always friendly, and I have used them for carry out for meetings many times before.

I love vietnamese food, especially a bowl of Phở on a cold winter day. I’ve been here at least a dozen times and I noticed that they do an excellent job on presentation mixed with authentic taste. GOOD: Clean clean clean. The vegetables are washed well. The water tastes pure. The phở soup is refreshing and not overly salty. The service is great! The servers are kind and attend to your needs. They will accommodate. They also bring in fresh flowers in large pots frequently to boost the ambience. BAD: A bit pricey, but only relative to other vietnamese places. Hard to get to. I usually park in the Target parking structure and eat here before doing some shopping at Target. FAVORITE: Combination or Meatball Phở Small Crispy Spring Rolls Hot Vietnamese Coffee with Condensed Milk Coconut Ice Cream 1-star: I’ve had hemorrhoids more pleasant than this. 2-star: I would rather avoid this place. 3-star: On par with other similar establishments. 4-star: Will return as often as possible. 5-star: I refuse to find a better place.

Four Sisters is simply fantastic fare! The spring rolls are to die for; the clay pots delicious, the wonton soup, and so so much more. The staff is efficient and attentive. The flowers arrangements are a delight to the eye — such a gift one of these sisters has for putting them together all about the restaurant. Love Four Sisters!

Background: I’m Vietnamese and my mom cooks better than any restaurant out there. I generally don’t go out to eat Vietnamese food for this reason, but went anyway for a family get together. Review: bun cha ha Noi.(Idk how to spell that) it’s amazing. So good. Everything else is good too, especially the egg rolls. Still not as good as my mom’s food but still very good. Sorry this review is kind of lame. I’m tired from eating all this Vietnamese food.

The food here is unlike anything I’ve had at most other Vietnamese places — and in a pretty bad way. It just doesn’t taste or even look right. Try eating at most places at Eden Center and then eat at Four Sisters. You get a sense that they focus on ambiance, presentation, and catering to the western palate. It’s pretty disappointing because you know you’re paying a little more than average(that’s understandable due to higher rents in Merrifield) but the food is simply forgettable. My verdict: Don’t come here looking for Vietnamese food but rather some sort of Asian fusion. I’d go to Eden Center instead without hesitation.

Another one on my list bites the dust. Again, I was really looking forward to enjoying this place as much as many other Unilocalers, but my husband and I were not wowed by anything. The only thing I enjoyed the most was my Thai iced tea and that’s not even Vietnamese… My vote for Four Sisters is more of a 2.5*. We ordered: fried shrimp wontons, caramelized pork in clay pot, and chicken sauteed with eggplant. The fried shrimp wontons were nothing special. There were good, hot, crispy and not greasy. It went well with the fish sauce or even a sweet and sour sauce. The pork in clay pot and the chicken with eggplant were both fine. The pork was on the salty side — everything was just ok. The pork seemed like it was fried in a wok and then dumped in some seasoned chili oil in a clay pot. The uppermost layer of the pork in the pot was somewhat dry while the pork on the bottom was swimming in oil. The dishes didn’t seem to be Vietnamese because I thought they could easily be made and found in any local Chinese restaurant. The brown sauce/gravy with the chicken & eggplant was a standard garlic sauce and nothing special. The eggplant was tender and not chewy. Some pieces of the chicken seemed undercooked. Service was ok. I was never asked if I wanted another Thai iced tea, so it was good there was water to drink. Our experience was sadly underwhelming and such a bummer.

The wait at 6pm on a Saturday night was already an hour, so we did take out. They have a computerized ordering system, which is better than most Asian restaurants because it ensures your order is correct(for example, they can write in things like«no onions» or «extra sprouts»), and they can review it with you visually. — Papaya salad: light, refreshing, no too spicy — Banh xeo: awesome texture, nice and crisped on the outside. It was nice that they vented the container so that the crêpe wouldn’t get soggy — Phở Ga: tons of chicken breast, very flavorful chicken broth — Meatball phở: the beef broth was super flavorful, a bit sweet almost, not too salty — Lemongrass beef with flat vermicelli: good for wrapping and dipping with fish sauce All the food was very authentic and clean. Dinner for 6 was $ 77, and we were all really full(and happy).

Chilean sea bass in black bean sauce — Can’t fail w this dish. I’d come back for more. Spring rolls(fried) — thought I tasted a tad old meat but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Came here for a friend’s bday dinner, we had a reservation so I was seated immediately even though everyone wasn’t there yet which was nice. I ordered the vermicelli with chicken and it had been years since I last ate vermicelli. I was worried it wouldn’t taste good bc my last experience eating it was at phở bistro and it was super bland. But the chicken was cooked well and the fish sauce wasn’t too overwhelming. It added a good amount of flavor and if you add a little Hoisin sauce, it is even better. The only thing I didn’t appreciate was the service was not very good. One of our waiters was very pushy and I got the vibe that he wanted us to hurry, pay and be done. However, I do want to try some of their other dishes bc I’m intrigued at how good it all tastes. Overall, it was a decent place to go.

Sooo sorry Four Sisters. I came to try your phở, but with all the competition in the area with Phở places… it fell short. I’ll stick with Phở Cyclo down the street. I will say the crispy pork spring rolls were pretty banging but not enough for me to return.

Came here, after a long flight from San Diego. Did a Unilocal search of places close to my hotel. When Four Sisters popped up on the list, I all of a sudden got a craving for phở. Definitely my food of choice when I’m in need of comfort and warmth from the ridiculous cold. What can I say? I’m a wussy SoCal girl. As someone who grew up on authentic Asian food, my meal was just A-OK. They only had 3 phở items to choose from. Though the bowl was filled to the rim, it was primarily broth. There was a decent serving of meat, but a small amount of noodle. The broth was fairly bland, not having enough salt and only having a tiny, tiny hint of the other spices(star anise, cloves, cinnamon) that would make a phở broth taste unique and give it that«oomph» factor. Also, if you are expecting tripe or tendon in your bowl of phở, be prepared to be disappointed. Nary a tendon or tripe in sight, on this menu. The fried spring rolls were just okay, as well. They came out a minute after I ordered them, but were a bit on the chewy side. This more upscale restaurant is geared more towards having dinner with a friend, a group of friends or family. Best choices to order would be the stir fry plates to share, which are extremely popular, from what I observed. This is the kind of place that would appeal to those interested in trying Vietnamese food for the first time or for folks who have a more American palette. Three pages of the menu are dedicated to a wide variety of wine. It really speaks of the type of clientele that the restaurant caters to — a bit more high end instead of informal and low key. I did try to eat my food in tiny bites and kept slurping to a minimum. But, yeah, I must have been unsuccessful, based on the looks I got from folks around me. What can I say? I eat like a hungry Asian. If you want the more cultural home cooking, comfort food experience, it is best that you look elsewhere. But, if this your first adventure(or a friend’s first venture) into trying Vietnamese cuisine, this is the place for you.

Came here on a Friday night. Service was amazing. Got seated immediately and our food came very quickly. Ordered the cha gio as an appetizer — it was good, packed with pork. I got the vermicelli with pork and cha gio. The portion is a little smaller than what I’m used to, but it was tasty. My wife got the phở. The broth was good, but the beef was overcooked, which made it tough to eat. Generally, I like the meat to be raw and it cooks when it the broth. Overall, solid place with good food and amazing service

I love the grilled pork & egg roll vermicelli noodles. This continues to be my bf & i’s go to spot for vietnamese food since we live right down the street. I would NOT recommend their Hu Tieu noodle soups, it tastes very one dimensional and very sweet. I would go to Hu Tieu Mi La Cay Chon(however you spell it lol) in Eden Center for their Hu Tieu noodles, it is my favorite spot and the noodles form Four sisters just do not compare at all. Also, they advertise ‘EGG noodles’ in the Hu Tieu noodles but it is actually wonton noodles, I was expecting the wide egg noodles that is expected in Mi Quang noodle soups.

My bosses took me out here for a parting dinner and it wasn’t close to anything mama makes at home, but it’s okay. We ordered a lot of food like baby clams with rice cracker, Vietnamese crepes, quail, sea bass, grilled pork, and probably some other dishes but I forgot about them. Interior wise, this is a very classy looking Vietnamese restaurant, but I think I will be sticking to Eden because some places in Eden are much cheaper and the quality of the food/flavoring reminds me so much more of my own mothers.

I’d been wanting to try Four Sisters Restaurant for a while and I finally had the chance to for lunch with my fiancé this past weekend. We managed to get a table(though the restaurant was crowded) without a wait and no reservations at 1pm on a Sunday afternoon. Vermicelli bowls are my new obsession and I ordered the #33, Bun Bo Nuong Xa(Grilled lemongrass beef on rice vermicelli). This and all the other vermicelli bowls are served with bean sprouts, chopped mint, basil, and peanuts. This was perfect! The beef was out of this world extraordinary. The whole dish tasted so healthy and fresh. It wasn’t heavy or greasy at all. I was so happy eating this. My fiancé also enjoyed his dish, the #31, Bun Tom Nuong(Grilled shrimp on rice vermicelli). We were both big fans! Service was nice and efficient and there’s ample parking in the free lot across the street. Four Sisters is definitely the best Vietnamese food in the area! My fiancé and I would certainly love to visit again! :)

This restaurant was on my bookmark and I finally went when I was in the area yesterday. I ate here during dinner time on a Friday night and they had open tables. My friend and I got a table right away outside since it was a nice evening out. The servers were friendly and they tended to us right away. The service was good. We didn’t wait a long time for our food. My friend and I ordered the crispy pork spring rolls, shaky beef, and grilled pork and crispy spring rolls vermicelli. Our server actually questioned our choice of vermicelli since it had spring rolls which was also our appetizers. I also gave back the same look of ‘Duh, yes. We like us them crispy spring rolls.’ They also gave us individual fish sauces. Considerate of double dippers. Our food was good specifically the crispy spring rolls. It was two big portions with a lot of meat inside so money worth it! The vermicelli I ordered was also good. The pork was tender and flavourful. The vegetables were just the right amount as the noodles and the meat. The noodles wasn’t mushy/soggy. Although, we could have asked for more fish sauce but we had left overs from the appetizers so we just poured those. For the shaky beef, I’ve had better. Theirs is also good but it got a bit dry and difficult to chew when it got cold. With my love for Viet food, I’m definitely going back to eat here when I’m in the area to try other dishes and get my Viet fix.

I’m use to going to the average phở restaurant, so this experience was absolutely amazing! I brought my mom and sisters for dinner and we were all very happy with our meal and service. If I could, I would eat here every day. But, tonight I only had the pleasure of trying a few. We had the Crispy Spring Rolls, Roasted Quail, Grilled Pork with Stuffed Rice Crepes, Chicken Curry, & Crispy Jumbo Shrimp with Ginger and Scallions. The spring rolls weren’t oily or soggy. They were flavorful and crispy. The grilled pork and stuffed rice crepes was SOOOOO good! The seasoning and flavors were amazing. The shrimp was actually«jumbo» sized which was great and made the price a little more worth it. The chicken curry was creamy and didn’t have a heavy curry taste. Just awesome! The quail, pork, shrimp and chicken were cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was delicious! The server was willing to help me out with deciding what to get, and the atmosphere was comforting. Although it was super busy, the food didn’t take a long time to come out which you usually expect when restaurants are that busy.

I have been eating here since ’95(they opened in ’93). So with 20 years of eating an array of dishes and one major location change from Eden Center to Mosaic District, this restaurant has become an unofficial pillar stone for my family. Being that my family hails from Vietnam and we’ve been eating it my entire life: I’d say we know a little something about loving Viet cuisine! History aside, here is the short and sweet synopsis(although I really could write a large volume on this): the menu is expansive and about 75% of that menu, such as their Goi Tom Thit, Cha Gio, Banh Hoi Chao Tom, and this amazing 9 course beef dish, etc., is guaranteed to be great. The 15% such as their Phở, Banh Xeo, Canh Chua Tom Hoac Ca, Canh Do Bien, etc., is good but compared to similar Vietnamese restaurants in NOVA, they aren’t better or worse but right on par. That being said, even their dishes that fall into the 15% will still be good especially for a place that doesn’t solely specialize in that particular category, i.e.: Phở. Regarding the great 75%, I would have to say my favorites include the family style meals because the serving sizes are extremely generous. In fact, they are essentially whole entrees prepared for the group even though they could have easily given smaller portions. Like many of us, I live on a budget and truly appreciate the value of affordable and hearty servings of good food. This place gives you exactly that. Despite the passage of 2 decades, this place is and continues to be one of my go to restaurants for Vietnamese in NOVA. I love this restaurant because more often than not, it’s a crowd pleaser with a multitude of guests and its interior is inviting and cheerful.

Came here for lunch with some friends. Great location at the mosaic district. It was surprising to me to be at a Vietnamese restaurant that was actually restaurant-like. The only other places ive had phở or summer rolls were at places like Phở 75, where ypu go strictly for the food, not the service or ambiance. This place was hit on all three! I got the papaya salad amd summer rolls. You can barely mess up either of those dishes bc theyre so simple. The summer rolls came with a peanut sauce which was great, but the rolls themselves were a bit bland. My friends got some beef dishes which were seasoned and flavored vert well. I normally don’t eat red meat but i gave it a try because it smelled so good. The service was good, nothing outstanding but nothing terrible. She was attentive but disappeared for a little. The place is beautiful inside and they have beautiful bouquets of real flowers throughout the restaurant. I will be back to try more traditional dishes like the phở or vermicelli.
